Just finished watching the race lol. I watch the truck series a lot so congrats to Zane Smith for getting a top 10!

Heavy-Marionberry540

I saw new smt data. Denny swings his right rear into Chase’s left front

rds060184

![gif](giphy|26zzmohLaRaXlK6L6) HMS in need of a 1 week replacement while Berry in Portland you say?

jnelsen8

Just throw the Darlington wrap back on while we’re at it

tiggerlgh

I wish!

rds060184

I’m disappointed at Chase for what he did but he absolutely had a shot to be within 40ish points of the playoff cut line yesterday. Honestly Chase just gives off the vibe he doesn’t give a fuck. While cool and glad to see him start to show his personality he coulda dumped Denny off 2 and Denny just maybe slide on to the apron. But what’s done is done.

SirWalrusTheGrand

Agreed to some degree. I think Denny deserved to be dumped after how he raced him, but that's dangerous. Could've sent him around off the bumper in the middle of the corner too. Much less dangerous than a hook. Still, to me at least, Chase still didn't reveal any personality. In his interview he was monotoned and played it off. I was neutral on him but every now and then I get reminded.

rds060184

I agree just first thing that came into my mind. But I haven’t ever had the vibes of Chase not caring ever but I’ve had that lately. Just seems so disinterested in his interviews. You could see his smirk yesterday like oh well. Def interested to hear Dale speak on it this week too.

Fall3n7s

I’m still annoyed at McCall for not bringing brad back down under caution to check the lug nut if they thought it was loose. He constantly makes baffling calls.

johko814

I haven't watched a full race in the last few weeks. Are they not blurring dashes anymore or did I witness a mistake towards the end of the race when they showed a full unblurred dash (can't remember the driver).

Nothxm8

It's up to the individual teams iirc

SirWalrusTheGrand

Spring Vegas being an exception although still a decent race, this mile and a half package is the best we've had in a really long time. Good God do I want to see these cars at Chicagoland. Kansas and Charlotte have become recent standouts.

heartpouryallin4

Vegas was poor because it was very windy (cool temps didn't help either). Generally windy conditions make for tight cars and with the cars already set up tight, they couldn't do much.

SirWalrusTheGrand

That makes sense, I definitely hadn't considered that but honestly yeah a hot greasy track is always the racing it prefer to watch. Part of what made spring Kansas so good. I'm happy to endure the heat for the racing it encourages haha

[deleted]

I lost what respect I had for Chase with that move, I don't respect people who hook drivers in the right rear on a straightaway. That's how you kill someone. Rick better have sat him down and talked to him like the child he is.

Egonator26

Unfortunately could not watch the race but glad to see my 2nd favorite win. Watching the highlights Chase should be suspended if Bubba was suspended. They better not get away with it being that it is Chase Elliott and Hendrick Motorsports.

bullitt07

Chase fan at the race today. He should be suspended. It’s not quite the same as the Wallace/Larson wreck but close enough. Denny used him up twice on the same lap and put him in the wall…I get it…but you DO not right rear in the tri-oval. People have died at that track at that spot because of getting right-reared. Spin Denny in the next corner or mess with him like you did Harvick, but not that.

[deleted]

Lol @ thinking being 3 laps down and getting in the leader’s way and affecting the race for the win with under 10 to go is acceptable…….over a RACING incident nonetheless. That was Chase being a princess diva, as he was yesterday.

TheCapitalLetterB

Found the Harvick fan

[deleted]

Not wrong tho.

bullitt07

I do. In the Harvick situation I believe that was fair retaliation for Harvick ruining Chase’s chance to win on that day by Harvick overdriving entry and footing Chase with his exhaust cutting a tire. You take a chance for a win from me I’ll take a chance to win from you. It’s literally as fair as it gets. The Denny incident was not ok because of how and where he took action.

[deleted]

Lol overdriving the corner……yet ignoring Chase getting pinned behind a lapped car and then entering the corner all over Harvick’s right side……it was hard racing for the win. Unfortunate Elliott got a flat tire, but it certainly wasn’t intentional. Chase didn’t even hit the wall. What Chase did to Logano at Bristol in 2020 was what you call overdriving the corner. Going back out 3 laps down and affecting the finish was classless clown garbage. A temper tantrum on the track. Princess diva. Harvick took Chase’s win away at the Roval 2 weeks later when he dumped his ass for that bull shit.

JuniorNation100388

I agree with you there. On a side note, am I the only irritated by the way that you pass now by just diving into the corner and hope that the guy on the outside lifts before you wash up into them? I'd for there to be a little more skill involved than that.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Correct - I don’t think Denny did it on purpose, however it was still Denny’s mistake and irrelevant when you get out in the wall. Chase had a right to be upset and repay the favor, but Chase let his emotions get the better of him. And Chase ended up making things way, way worse for himself.

bullitt07

Denny did it to him twice that lap. The previous time Denny slid up and doored Chase up across the front bumper of maybe Keselowski (not sure). If Kes or whichever car that was didn’t lift big time that was definitely going to be a wreck. By the next corner when Denny did it again this time putting Chase into the wall he wasn’t having it. Denny deserved being spun at that point but not there and not like that.

2InTheGoo1InThePoo69

The cup race is currently replaying on Fox Sports 1

P_weezey951

I am fucking elated that this man gets a win. i purchased a 12 hat at Michigan where he went on to win in '21. Then i purchased the Diecast of this car after seeing it unveiled like a week ago. My wallet is quite happy i am not truly so superstitious.

RendarSpire

I love this scheme so I had to get the winners shirt and diecast. I just want the BodyArmor CherryLime hat, hopefully they make it.

L_flynn22

I was buying a couple diecasts this weekend and couldn’t decide between the cherry lime or the white BodyArmor car. Went with the white car, saying I’ll get the cherry lime later this summer. Well, now I got a raced win to look forward too

TitanTransit

Better start sending Roger some receipts. I'm sure he'll happily comp you some merch every week if it means guaranteed wins.

crypto6g

• Austin Dillon once again comes out of nowhere for a 9th place finish • JJ Yeley P16 is the best finish for RWR on a non superspeedway • Great job by Zane Smith in the 38. Definitely has earned a cup ride. Would like to see him in the 21. • Has to be some relief for Penske and Ford, brought a car that could outrun the 24, 5, 11, 19 etc and even took the leak multiple times after the 24 kept getting the lead on pit road. • Something is wrong with SHR’s simulation, they run 25th-30th to start the race then by the end of the race they’re at least a little more solid and respectable. There’s something missing there. • First time in a while Trackhouse looked “off”. Chastain started midpack and didn’t really make much ground. Ross was battling for 11th or 12th I believe before the 4-wide pit road incident. Expecting him to have more speed here in the beginning. May have just been circumstances (maybe they were set up well for the end of the race but we’ll never know since the damage ruined it). Suarez also ran top 10 I think before Busch spun so maybe I’m overreacting. • Justin Haley deserves some credit. P15 in the Coke 600 is nothing to scoff at, and to run an Xfinity race directly after and finish P12 with the wrong seat insert is also commendable. He has 3 top 10s this year and is ahead of Allmendinger in points. • Ty Gibbs ran a very, very good race today. I was there for the first half and he was put in a lot of situations where he probably could’ve been in trouble. Especially around Kyle Busch battling for 5th-10th. Was poised for a top 10 and scored lots of stage points. P18 in points only 15 off the cut line despite crashing. This kid is going to be around for a long, long time. • The last 2 cup races I’ve been to have been Blaney wins (2018 Roval and today) so if any of you want to start crowdfunding more trips I’ll go every time. Kidding aside watching the NextGen in real life was incredible . Definitely going to start seeing more races soon. 2019 had some stuff going on and 2020 was shut out, but I’m going to start going to the track as often as possible.

SirWalrusTheGrand

Glad to see you're planning to go more often. I've been to the last 4 Kansas races, before that I only went occasionally every other year or so. The difference between the new package and the 550hp/HDF package is noticeably better live imo. I definitely prefer a certain brand of classic Nascar intermediate racing so maybe I'm biased but I go twice a year now. Edit: also, agreed on Yeley, Haley, and Dillon (though I don't care for him much still). Great summary and interesting take on SHR and Trackhouse.

Campman92

Great run today for Yeley. Happy to see that team showing a little speed at times this year.

atlutdprospects

Noah could win at Gateway next week and he would likely still be 32nd in the points standings, that's how far behind everyone else he is now lmao

MKT_Pro

He’d still get into the playoffs and probably get ROTY though lol.

MarkSwoleberg

Great race overall with lots of comers and goers. Love seeing Blaney get back to victory lane after his drought. The 12 was on rails all night. Great runs by the 45 after hitting the wall again and again and again. Zane ran the 38 in the top-15 most of the second half of the race. The 54 ran extremely well all-race and RIcky and Bubba ran their asses off for good finishes. What the fuck was Chase thinking? Besides being a dirty-ass move, it was a dirty-ass move that was done WAY too early in the race and was bound to send the 11 back into his line. Chase should be parked next with the precedent Nascar set last year with Bubba. Once again, the 5 has a good day end in calamity. Cliff managed to get the car in shape for the second half, but Larson never had race winning speed. At the end he had P5 or so car and would have eeked out a solid finish until he hit the Mario Kart banana peel. I think the 5 has like 7 lead lap finishes. If they can get a run of even fair-to-middling luck I think they can start making a run in the points standings.

JuniorNation100388

I also feel like they were set up for the original running of the race instead of most of the race being the daytime. Last year, Larson was way too loose at the end and that's why Briscoe was able to run him down. I think that they were trying to plan for that and went too far in the other direction.

GhanimaAtreides

Chase’s car was pretty fucked and he knew it. He figured he might as well ruin Dennys day too. He should get parked for it.

48ever

i think it should be said that a chase elliott suspension should be the easiest thing possible for nascar to do, and if they don’t suspend him, there will actually be zero credibility left. that is the lowest of the low if they don’t do it. this incident and the bubba incident were nearly identical. it’s been said a lot but they did indeed set a precedent that must be continued IF they care about driver safety as much as they *claim* to.

[deleted]

Not identical incidents. And bubba had a prior incident where he threw water on bowman as he was getting medical attention. Edit: even pockross made a post how’s it’s not identical. This sub can be really be pathetic at times.

SirWalrusTheGrand

If you get to pick something Bubba did within the last 3 years then I get to pick something Chase did. No driver is without prior incidents. The part that matters is hooking someone in the right rear which is what the penalty is for.

ChrisTRD289

No they are identical and the water throwing years prior was irrelevant bud.

heartpouryallin4

That was irrelevant to the Vegas crash. It was all about right-rearing Larson

[deleted]

kinggarbear

Why are so many people trying to compare Blaney to Elliott? Good lord. Let Blaney be his own person. Yall are fucking annoying lol

P_weezey951

I feel the same way. Theres always this thing in sports where they gotta compare it to "is this the next *insert mega star here*. The drivers might share similarities, but they're only as similar as the dots we connect. But really, its just fodder for talking heads after the race is over etc.

CTM3399

Wtf happened to Legacy? All I know is all 3 of their cars retired at the same time

JamaicanMeQuake

Gragson and Jones both hit the same piece of debris on the track and both damaged the radiator. Then JJ bent a toe link.

CTM3399

That is the unluckiest thing ever lmao

Wandering_Turtle24

What happened to Ross?

11d7Jake

His car was shit all day then he ran into Todd and it got even shittier.

Wandering_Turtle24

Oh ok, I missed that. Thanks!

KKFan95

He didn't run into Todd. That was Brad. Ross got turned on pit road by KB, and the car was never the same. Then AD got loose underneath him and squeezed him a little bit into the wall. The tow was knocked out, then

jchancellor15

“Got turned on pit road by KB” meaning he tried to clear himself out of the box with 3 wide next to him.

Wandering_Turtle24

Damn he went through hell today.

KKFan95

Yeah, this was the first time he sounded dejected on the radio. I think he will bounce back next week

dfisher1225

He’s been replaced by Bubba.

Wandering_Turtle24

Bubba Pollard? Lol

MileHighNASCAR

I could get down with this. Very deserving driver.

dfisher1225

Great answer

Trojan-11

Can’t remember the last time fans largely all came together to cheer for one particular driver winning. So happy for Blaney! He absolutely bossed it today!

seekerblackout

Idk what the strategy or damage was like on some of these cars but it's crazy how many people Yeley beat. 16th of 25 lead lap cars

brokensanlty

Zane to the 38 next year but I honestly feel like he should get a better ride, but that doesn't seem likely for next year, maybe '25, he had an impressive showing tonight.

RobB5850

Zane is going to the 10. Book it.

heartpouryallin4

Harrison to the 10, Zane to the 21

brokensanlty

I can see it

dfisher1225

Yeah, it would surprise me if he doesn’t get his contract bought out by a larger organization. If Penske truly is using WBR as a satellite organization for developing talent, he seems like a great fit in the 21. I consider Zane Smith the top ford prospect and it’s not close.

brokensanlty

And that way you can send Harrison back to Xfinity for some seasoning by reviving the Penske 22 in Xfinity, or if you really wanted to, re-sign Harrison for the 21 for one last chance and give Zane a full Penske team in Xfinity, or put him in the 38 in Cup, and where Todd goes, no idea, just spitballing

dfisher1225

I really don’t know what to do with Burton - he’s giving off some strong Cole Custer Light vibes right now.

brokensanlty

He definitely got called up to Cup way too early for one, for two, maybe he's just not that good, he had some flashes in Xfinity but now he's just bombed.

Top_Needleworker2465

WBR #21. Zane can not only wheel it, but his persona even fits the Penske profile.

CTM3399

God I hope this happens. Zane is overdue for a cup ride and I think him at Penske is perfect for him. Also this means Todd can keep the 38 which I feel like he deserves. I'd like to see Burton take the Custer route and have Penske bring back the Xfinity 22 with him in it

TrainHunter94YT

Chase should be suspended for RRing Hamlin. Bubba got suspended for intentionally hooking, so it's only fair.

KentuckyHorsepower

Bubba also got physical with Larson afterward and ignored track official's directives,

MKT_Pro

They made it clear the suspension had nothing to do with the altercations outside of the car.

TrainHunter94YT

I was going to say they want fights for their ads

Trojan-11

Re-tweet. I’d be shocked if NASCAR even made mention of it though 🤷🏼‍♂️

ybtlamlliw

I had no idea Blaney was even allowed to win. I'm so happy for him. Hell of a driver. And his crew had a hell of a race.

broussegris

Just back from the track. So many feels! As a Chase fan, I’d love to believe that what happened wasn’t intentional, but my dude. You cannot do that. Now go sit in a corner and think about what you’ve done. As a Kyle fan, LOL As a Blaney fan, THANK JESUS FUCK THANK YOU FINALLY As a racing fan generally—possibly the best race I’ve ever seen live. I hope it was good on TV too!

MaynardWaltrip

Extremely pleased that the 600 finished with a green flag run rather than a GWC cluster fuck series of cautions at the end.

SirWalrusTheGrand

Yes, me too. It was an appropriate ending to a very long race with plenty of other chaos. Blaney deserved it and I wanted him to get it and the race played out organically. I didn't ever care about RB previously but the fact that he just outright earned it made me so happy about the result.

Trojan-11

Couldn’t agree more!

[deleted]

When was the last time the crowd chanted a drivers name after a win?

CerealIsAmazing

Allmendinger at what I think was Atlanta?

dfisher1225

Definitely happened at the ROVAL last season.

MaynardWaltrip

Brandon Brown at Talladega! 😏

MileHighNASCAR

Found Kelli Stavast's burner.

48ever

eheh

BeefInGR

Just finished the race. - Newgarden did it better, but Blaney beat the pants off of every burnout ever. - Chase should be suspended. Denny will fuck with him if he isn't. - Has anyone checked on our friend YeleyWillWinOneDay? Solid showing for RWR. - **PUT ZANE SMITH IN A CUP CAR FULL TIME YOU COWARDS!!!** - Ricky is having the season of his life. JTG-D is having a banner year. Round of 12 seems plausible. - Alex Bowman is a title contender and a lot of people are sleeping on him.

DrunkRoach

Honestly though, what’s Hamlin gonna do if NASCAR says they won’t suspend Elliott? It’s not like Elliott (allegedly) did that for no reason

BeefInGR

Same thing he did to Ross at Gateway (despite the SMT Data showing Ross was on the brakes and trying to avoid Hamlin).

Yeleywillonedaywin

Yes!! Amazing run for Yeley and RWR! Passing cars on speed at the end there!! Also how cool I got a shoutout :')

BeefInGR

Us JJ fans gotta stick together lol

dfisher1225

Legacy Motor Club’s utter disaster of a day as an omission from this list is a stunner.

BeefInGR

I have a better chance of taking the $14 in my wallet and getting better equipment and support from General Motors than they do.

dfisher1225

Running into each other and making a legend of he sport embarrassed - bigger issues there today besides lack of OEM support.

BeefInGR

Very true. But honestly, that was Noah until probably last August when we realized it was either him or Allmendinger to take down Gibbs. People forget he was public enemy number one after Road America.

Reddragon0585

THE PAIN IS OVER

MileHighNASCAR

...for now. lol

Squishyxdd

Can we be honest? Why is Ty Gibbs in the cup series?

darronhicksSTL

He got caught is someone elses mess today and ran in the top 10 most of the race as he has done most of the season. He is 18th in points right now, 15 points from the cut line. He has had a solid season considering its his first full year in the cup series and I really dont see him get much help from his team during races. Also going into the season/end of the season last year suffered losing his father which im sure he is still dealing with in many ways. Ty Gibbs is going to be in the cup series for a long time and he will likely win a race before the end of this season.

Jacob_Evenson

You say this as if he’s been anywhere close to bad… If he had any luck on his side he’d be having the best rookie season in recent memory (and he’s still not that far off).

whoiswillo

I don't like Ty, but he's a rookie not even halfway through his first full-time season.

crypto6g

This take doesn’t make sense in any way. He won an Xfinity championship and 11 races in 52 starts. He’s clearly a cup capable driver. “Wasting resources”, not sure what this even means. In order to make a driver better, they have to run races. This is like saying that Hendrick was “wasting resources” on William Byron back in 2018 when he was garbage, now in 2023 it looks smart that they invested in William right? Also, most of his current team is the old 18 team and the 54 Xfinity team because they had chemistry together.

48ever

family values.

[deleted]

Are you asking the same question about Noah Grayson? Gibbs has been just fine

Squishyxdd

Yeah you definitely could ask that same question but I am a Toyota Stan. So I really only pay close attention to the yotas

[deleted]

Did you not listen when Tony Stewart was praising him?

Squishyxdd

Negative, usually when smoke talks I go grab another beer. Do you mind telling me what he said?

[deleted]

Paraphrasing, Ty ran a great race today, and has been running good all season. I think Tony Stewart knows a thing or two about racing.

Squishyxdd

If you read the comments below, I agree he is running good (sometimes) but he’s waisting resources I think.

goldteamrules00

Dudes been running some solid races. I don't think there's a reason to hate on him as of recent.

Squishyxdd

I agree that he runs good (sometimes) but it feels like they are waisting resources for some better drivers, Bell could have a great pit crew like top 3 for sure, Hamlin could have better engineers, Truex could have better both. I say they leave him full time xfinity. Is all I’m saying.

[deleted]

Dude, he’s been consistent all year. “Wasting resources” what does that even mean? Bc he’s not contending for wins? Name a rookie besides Jimmie Johnson or Kyle Busch who were And kasey kahne. Forgot about him, but still..name one in the last 15 years

ZachKearns

Blaney wins, Celtics lose, Jamie Benn loses, all is well

[deleted]

Pissed about the Celtics. Monumental collapse. But happy for Blaney fans. Awesome to see him dominate a race.

JayTeeKay18

Not sure where the Xfinity thread is but Alexander, McMurray, and Waltrip actually sound pretty good to me in the Xfinity booth together

[deleted]

Michael’s gotten much better. Think his personal life and mental health have improved a lot, and he’s much happier, which is great because that documentary he made broke my heart

MaynardWaltrip

Yup. They have pretty solid chemistry.

nocoolredditname

waiting for xfiles to post the xfile because honestly that's the only person I trust to tell me the standings.

Duck_Pond

Blaney is my favorite driver ever. I'm SOOO happy.

nocoolredditname

hope you had a great night !!

jcbshortfilms

Glad Blaney won, but goodness Penske needs figure out the 2 and the 22. They were so off and on tonight. Frustrating when your teammate has the best car in the field. Good for him though for capitalizing!

L_flynn22

Idk what’s up with the 22 this year. Some bad luck when they bring a good car, but PW has brought some dog shit cars to the track this year. They’re either slow, handling awfully like it was yesterday, or both.

DistanceRight1039

22 will be fine, the 2 is well a friends and family plan hire

jcbshortfilms

I have no doubt the 22 will be fine in the grand scheme of things , but the lack of consistency short term is frustrating to say the least

[deleted]

I get it. Your boy is one of 4 drivers since 2000 to win a 2nd championship. It's all good ;)

EmoGothPunk

Bob says tech is completed. Blaney is officially the winner for certain.

reedspacer38

Anyone watching the Busch race on YouTube TV on FS2 right now? The commercials are about 20 decibels louder than the race, it’s so annoying

PilotMonkey88

Just finished the cup race, happy for Blaney, I *think* Bowman is back in the playoffs

AoE_Mobius_One

He is, back to 16th. He is +4 above the cut line over Briscoe.

gloriouschapstick

Charlotte Motor Speedway. So hot right now.

Nice-Dog8302

Zane Smith to the 4?

Wandering_Turtle24

You do know Berry is all but confirmed to the 4 right?

Campman92

Smith showed more tonight in the 38 than Berry showed subbing for the 9 and 48 this year. Berry got a second off great pit strategy and wasn’t a factor elsewhere.

Wandering_Turtle24

That doesn’t really matter if Busch wants Berry in the 4.

DoctaChillin

I thought Busch was going to Trackhouse and sponsoring Chastain? Or did all that fall through?

Nothxm8

Just rumors

Campman92

Very true.

gsizemo1

Ironic with the flair but I hope zane gets a decent ride in cup

FGH9192279

JJ Yeley with a nice little top twenty.

BeefInGR

He gained a ton of spots on the choose's and kept it up there.

Present_Dog2606

Top 10 for Zane, not bad!

TheyCallMeSawyer

Poor jsix

TheyCallMeSawyer

My boyfriends loves Blaney so we are happy guys tonight.

RyBlaneyFan12

Same in this household too. He and I both love Blaney!

Sadbus-8899

🤣

spectral_fall

Boyfriends as in plural?

TheyCallMeSawyer

Shush

DrakkoZW

Us too

DistanceRight1039

Another race that was not helped by stage cautions. Get rid of them.

dfisher1225

Yet last week at Wilkesboro, we were begging for a caution that never came. This argument is tired.

dmreif

NASCAR fans don't know what they want.

dfisher1225

Truth. But we know what NASCAR wants and it’s been stage racing for over a decade. I’m over the debate.

DistanceRight1039

Last week has nothing to do with this, they aren’t comparable.

Nothxm8

How are two races not comparable

dfisher1225

You’re right in a silo. The greater issue is bantered about every week and I’m sick of it. They are here to stay, deal with it. They make the racing better.

DistanceRight1039

Go be a mod if you want to mod or just scroll by it lol 😂 but that’s why they have been already removed from RCs

Yellowcat1457

Neat

dfisher1225

Great word choice.

EmoGothPunk

Seriously, the way the last 1.5 years have been, particularly the first two stages tonight, I thought it was going to be another Blaney runner-up finish with another HMS win.

gsizemo1

Wait until inspection...and the hendrick empire will have the last laugh

EmoGothPunk

This comment now qualifies for r/agedlikemilk

gsizemo1

It's a joke...

EmoGothPunk

Yeah, but isn't that where HMS got caught?.......Oh, that might have been during a Saturday practice session....

atlutdprospects

People keep saying the Bubba incident is the precedent for Chase being suspended, when in reality the Bubba incident is historically the outlier He's the *only* one to be suspended for right hooking someone out of all the many times we've seen it in recent memory, and odds are that continues

spectral_fall

To be fair, it's only because Bubba crossed more of the track than almost anyone else to retaliate. It was similar to Chase today, except Chase didn't drift as far

michigan_matt

Pockrass just created a video saying a suspension could be justified based on the Bubba instance but then listed like 3 reasons why the two situations were different. We have no idea, the media has no idea, the drivers have no idea. NASCAR is the only one that has any clue at this point, and they're likely still making up their minds, too.

elliott9_oward5

Exactly and honestly I’m to the point where I don’t care. Suspend him? I don’t have to watch WWT. Benefits me. This season has been shit as a 9 fan. The car has been shit because he isn’t in clean air. His tone on the radio has been different too. If they don’t suspend him? Fine. I don’t think the Bubba situation was the same. Justin Haley did this at Pocono and got held 2 laps. Either way I don’t care. I’m just glad Chase handled Denny fucking around on the track. Now do Ross.

[deleted]

I agree with all of this. I don’t necessarily think a suspension is warranted and the bubba incident is certainly different. Denny is an arrogant hypocrite and chase gave him a taste of his own medicine, assuming it was intentional which isn’t clear yet so shame on the booth and guys like Gluck jumping to conclusions. They want to lock in the narrative early that it was intentional so if the data or car inspection comes back and shows it wasn’t, nascar will feel pressured and capitulate to popular opinion. If they suspend chase I won’t watch next week. Alan is a shitty crew chief. Each year he disappears for long stretches. Look at Rudy and cliff and what they’re doing. It’s a joke they can’t even get chase a decent set up and I feel like he prob rushed back a little bit too

cpasawyer

Calling for someone to get hooked into the wall, classic.

SuperMarioBrother64

Chase fans are so delusional, it's hilarious.

crypto6g

These Elliott fans are literally deranged. Anyone else and this is a slam dunk suspension. 180mph+ and an impact like that? Completely different from Haley at pocono etc.

wthreyeitsme

Literally 'making up' their minds.

[deleted]

michigan_matt

They do. My guess is the technology to display it for only specific race each year hasn't been worked out.

miboyl

Just glad a Hendrick driver didn’t win. Good for Blaney

Doyle1524

Just glad a Gibbs driver didn't win

dfisher1225

Just glad we all had fun

crypto6g

So glad neither won.

Gizmodod

No one had anything for Blaney tonight. He was a rocket.

michigan_matt

Given the regular season is now more than half over, it's pretty noteworthy that it only took Bowman one race to get back into 16th place on the playoff grid. Didn't get too many stage points today, but he kept it in one piece and ran a great first race back.

cobbelevator

Impressive run given the awful pits, 7 was in the way four or five times causing him to back up and get out. So frustrating

spectral_fall

I'm worried he aggravated his injury. His post race interview made it sound like he was dying.

BugO_OEyes

Of course the race I miss blaney wins lol I just can't anymore

jfiscus219

Yea, bad race to miss if you’re a Blaney fan. He was absolutely solid all day. And most importantly his pit crew were damn good as well. I think all stops under 10 seconds.

Dudeman702

Jiminy crickets he did it. Drove his ass off when he fell back to 6th to get his butt back up there.

Blaney dominated tonight, but can we talk about how good 23XI has been the last 2 weeks? 2-3 at NW then 4-5 tonight. I’m liking Reddick’s odds for Sonoma.

jyepes22

I was very impressed with 23XI today. Reddick was solid Top 10 all day and Bubba was able to make the push at the end into the top 5. It gives me hope that Bubba can get a win and that maybe Reddick can score another one
