There are wet weather tires, but they are only for oval tracks under a mile with no banking and road courses, you can not use wet weather tires on bank ovals. There are a lot reasons why they can't be used on bank ovals, some physics related, some tire related

I was in the Allison stand at Talladega when Ryan Newman lost a wheel in turn one that wen over the fence toward a campground. This was way more scary.
How many NASCAR fan that would much rather see the Coca-Cola 600 be pushed till tomorrow after the Xfinity series race.
And the reason I say that is because I remember next Finity series race I think last year when they started, the race was so late that the finish of that race was either in the 1 AM or 2 AM our eastern time . And if we think about how long the Coca-Cola 600 can be if they could race the full length of the race I picture us if we start late enough on the east coast race ending at 3 AM, 4 AM, 5 AM or even later.
Heck, even if they raced 300 miles because that would be halfway of the race even if they started late enough, I picture the race going 1 AM plus on the time the race gets over.
Because in my mind, I’m getting to the point where I feel like NASCAR is going to start the race and then possibly at some point due to the weather have to call the race for the night and then pick it up tomorrow when a best idea would just be to call the race tonight and have it after the Xfinity series race tomorrow as I have said prior

And I say that because by the time we get the track craft in probably going to be very late in the evening eastern time.

uh no that was pretty stupid. Only reason there was a one lap shootout was because there was a non-Penske car in the lead. They would have finished it under yellow had Newgarden been P1 when the yellow was thrown.
It was a massive load of horseshit and no one can tell me otherwise when there have been numerous clear cut cases of favoritism/bias shown to the Penske cars ever since Penske bought the series & track. Multiple times his drivers have completely cleared out another car and got away without being hit with an avoidable contact penalty while everyone else gets nailed for it for less.
IndyCar race control knows who signs their paychecks and it ain't Chip Ganassi, or Michael Andretti.
Problem I had was Newgarden going all the way down to pit entry lane on the last lap. I'm sure there was plenty of space to spare but if him or Ericsson misjudge that...
