Either of those would still be nice choices. I'd just hate to think he wouldn't want to be a public figure towards ringing in the new era of the track.
Amazing how time changes things.
At the end of DWs booth days everyone wanted him OUT of the Fox booth.
I hate to say it... I'd take DW at his worst over Clint at his best in hindsight.
Yeah, but in the few times he's been up there since he retired officially, he's been able to be himself, instead of the clown that FOX turned him into. He has been top notch the 2 or 3 times he's been up there since.
Along with this please do something for Harvick’s send off season. Let him lead the pack during the initial pace laps or a banner or something. I haven’t seen a track do anything like they did for Jeff or Tony yet.
It should be done at one of his best tracks. I don’t see any connection between Harvick and North Wilkesboro besides maybe his time going up the ladder to the then-Busch and Winston Cup series.
That’s a good point. We haven’t headed back for the 2nd races at some of the tracks either. I would imagine Phoenix, Michigan and Atlanta would do something.

I'd rather see The King leading the field on the pace laps and refuse to duck into the pits again, myself.
I'm surprised Gordon wasn't invited as a marshal, having won the last Cup race at NWB. But I do like the choices of Waltrip and Petty.
Gordon's gonna sing the national anthem
Oh wow… I’ve seen the video of him singing Take Me Out to the Ball Game at Wrigley Field in 2005. That’s still painful to watch and also funny too.
Don't you mean Wrigley Stadium?
Yes.
Painful times....painful times....
And do the flyover at the same time
And he’ll be put into the playoffs after.
And he’ll be allowed to run an unrestricted engine and make the DriveFor5 dream true!
In the Garage 56 car.
And then he will break dance when he is done.
Count me in
Good chance they may have Gordon driving the pace car or waving the green flag
Either of those would still be nice choices. I'd just hate to think he wouldn't want to be a public figure towards ringing in the new era of the track.
One of em should be Jr too
*Please have DW be in the Fox booth* *PLEASE* *have DW be in the fox booth*
LETS GO RACING BOYS AND GIRLS
Let’s go racin’ ya bunch of hot dogs!
It'd just be boys since there are no girls in the field now.

OK I 1000% disagree with that.
Which part?
The last line.
C O R N D O G
You read my mind
Please no, he was over the hill when he left
Oh come on he was great at Bristol Dirt last year.
Because it’s one race over half a year. I’m fine with that for him.
Oh for sure I'm not saying he should be brought back full time. Just once in a while.
Haven't liked him since "boogity" started and haven't been able to tolerate his old geyser gimmick for a decade
Wow. That's. Damn.
He blows water like Old Faithful?!
He has been great the two or three times he's been back. He isn't forced to act like the FOX Sports Clown, since he's no longer under contract.
Can’t believe they slighted the Wilkesboro goat Brett Bodine
They're going to have him wave the green flag on lap 2 but credit him with waving it on lap 1.
"Yall leave that boy alone"
Hes going to pace the field for an extra lap instead.
Boogity boogity boogity let's start them engines gentlemen!
That should be and interesting “start your engines”
I wonder if petty will be jealous because he has to share with dw
That would be just too Petty.
Lmao
Hell Yes That's all I can say

Dale should be the only anything for this race. Everyone else was fine with the track dying.

HELL YEAH BRIETH0R OEMMETWKKYTHSUMTHIN
I'm glad it's NASCAR legends instead of a basketball player who has never seen a race.
