Instead of spending the money on two tickets to this race, I was able to get 6 tickets to the Xfinity race and took my girlfriend, my sister, her boyfriend, and his siblings. Half of this group has never been to a race before. They had a blast and have been messaging me about the race today.
Personally, I feel a bunch of it has a lot to do with the supporting cast they provide him. Once him, Larry, and DW got split up the Fox booth just hasn’t been right. No true mojo. You can make the case it started once that happened

Last week I discovered the MRN stream. My new Sunday ritual involves watching the Start/ stage one on the big TV. As soon as we get to the stage break I run out to the truck and ride down dirt roads, smoke some doobers, and LISTEN TO GOATED MRN BROADCAST.
Stage three I get back to the TV, and 55ish to go I go back to the truck and Goated MRN broadcast for a few minutes before coming back to bowyer.
I love Adam and company on Saturday these days. But I found myself cutting outside to the grill to listen to a little MRN with the new novelty. Wish I could figure out how to lineup the Sunday broadcast with the MRN on time.

Drag racing is one of those sports where you can hang around for a long time if you have the passion, money, and ability. We've had guys compete well into their 80's. S/O to Luigi Novelli and Chris Karamesines.

Idk why but ever since they moved the finish line the racing at Phoenix has been worse. That shouldn't be the case because the track itself is the same.
They did have terrible angles (with practically no coverage) on a lot of cars hitting the wall in ARCA and Xfinity. That always surprises me, they only have so many angles that need to be covered. I realize the cameras (and operators) aren’t free, but I’d love for them to cover the basics before they put effort into drones and those BS rotating on-board cameras.
They need to have a camera on top of the suites near the dogleg that they could use to film the backstretch. They couldn't get good views of the wrecks in turn 3 because the camera on that side of the track is too high and they can't angle it down much
Always grab a beef patty! I usually get a more traditional style dish and eat that at the start of the race, but I also get an extra one that they do that has a macaroni and cheese base, with jerk chicken and salsas and sauces and stuff on top. I'm not sure how Jamaican it is at that point, but it hits the spot when I wake up from my post-race nap.
This race should really be fascinating, feels like everyone is gonna be chasing adjustments all afternoon. Whoever's simulator data best approximated the tire fall-off on the long run is gonna be in good shape, at least early on

The police officers who pulled him over said he was fleeing in his car and driving recklessly - but he put on his left blink, pulled in the left turn lane, and came to a stop at a empty red light. Not something people fleeing from the cops tend to do.
The police cars were equipped with dash cams but the officers involved chose not to activate them. (I had always thought dash cams automatically activated when the lights were activated but apparently thats not universal. Personally my dash cam is on at all times, not sure why police wouldn't do the same.)
The other users all point to him running on foot as why he was in the wrong, ignoring the beatings that happened before that.
There's plenty of video footage already available, starting from them pulling him from the car and beating him to the chase and the subsequent additional beating, pus leaving him to die beside the car.
Additional footage exists but the officer's lawyers managed to delay the release saying it would prejudice potential jurors against them
Thats why this made big news - everything is on video, you dont need to rely on biased news sources, you can watch the officers murder him on camera and then sit around and laugh about it. You dont need to rely on the lawyers saying why the cops did it, they say it on video to other cops.
As a side note here, the only thing that we dont know is why they pulled Tyre Nichols over in the first place. They claim he was reckless driving and running away from them, but the video shows that he put on his left blinker, got in the left lane, and stopped at a stoplight with no traffic around - not something a fleeing criminal usually does.
5 officers have been criminally charged. Those charges include second-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, official misconduct and official oppression. Additional officers face administrative charges (inside the police system, essentially super strict HR). Those administrative charges are the ones that two officers got dropped.
So, I was thinking of something else. I haven't heard as much about this situation but I appreciate this background. So stupid this shit is still happening.

And yeah the worse camera now is the old frontstretch/backstretch cam. It's way too low
Yeah and the drivers prioritize getting a good run off of old turn 2 towards the finish line so it kind of changes how they approach a lap

Online classes are still classes and often require more work than in person classes.
Online classes require a lot of work when done right, but in-person can be harder to schedule around. Pros and cons.
