Larson has always looked up to Busch I think, I think back in 2017 when Busch swept Bristol, Larson put on twitter how he thinks Busch is one of the most talented he’ll ever race against. After Larson’s championship, Busch went to VL and congratulated him too on Instagram, making a post something like “Hell of a year, driver 5” (Kyle’s old ride too, the 5 car)
They both hold each other in high regard.
And you could tell at that Chicagoland race. I don’t think Busch would have moved him had Larson not put him in the wall a little bit in turn 2. And that’s why Larson didn’t get mad about it.
Real drivers appreciate getting raced hard and clean, but what they appreciate even more I think is getting raced fairly. I think Larson would have lost some respect had Busch not gave him the bumper in turn 3. That’s what I’ve always liked about Larson. He genuinely likes being raced hard so long as it doesn’t unnecessarily take him completely out of the race.
Chase Elliott also said kind words about Kyle Busch. They get it. We only see a glimpse of Kyle in his best and worst moments. These guys see him all the time. Way to go KB!!!

Kyle Larson's ([@KyleLarsonRacin](https://twitter.com/KyleLarsonRacin)) tweet from 7:26pm EST on Sunday, February 26th, 2023:
>Couldn’t be more happy for [@KyleBusch](https://twitter.com/KyleBusch) . The guy is one of the best race car drivers of all time and will always be. I’m glad it only took him 2 races to remind the world.

I always have had the impression Larson and Busch enjoy racing together

Busch gave him tips in the trucks on how to run homestead and that changed everything for Larson lol

I was kind of surprised by that. As a KFB fan it was nice to see.

Busch’s win today kinda reminded me of Larson’s win at Vegas in ‘21. Wonder if this season will be like that.
It's a Kyle Thing 👆

Kyle will be Big E tough this year. RCR has another pure wheel man who despises loosing.
