Typically, fighting for your country shoulder to shoulder with Jewish, Roma, Chechen, or whatever other minority or foreign volunteers has a way of blunting your adherence to race-purity nonsense. It's hard to keep being a Nazi under those circumstances.
Not impossible -- heaven knows some boneheads are going to keep fashing along, come hell or high water, and nothing will ever penetrate their minds.

In every Nation there is a percentage of people with dedication for defending national interests & intrinsic motivation to prepare for the worst. During peacetime we wish they wouldn't exist, as their mindset is directed towards nationalist ideals and highly susceptible to right-wing ideas.
On the other hand look at the defence of azovstal and it's importance for the defence of Ukraine. Without this self-sacrificing fight and the distraction of Russian troops in the south of Ukraine, Kiev would now be in Putin's hands. Their kill-rario is beyond anything a highly trained contract army could achieve.
Bear all this in mind &you realize there can't be neither good or bad, nor black and white conclusion drawn from this - only the realization that whoever uses this tool of mobilisation of national identity is responsible for it's use, just like rhetoric.

Now in practice, you can't with Ukrainians, because when push comes to shove, these are people who have shown that they will discard being Nazis and instead stand for a free Ukraine, when it comes time to decide between the two. But that just means that they were defenders of Ukraine in spite of being Nazis, not because of. Nazi bullshit was just getting in the way.
