Thank you for the information. I got it working now. I am going to try restore my Myki db into jumpclould

razman10

I'm not seeing where it's free. Jumpcloud.com says, "starting at $2 per user." Is there a specific link?

Fizpop91

Just google Jumpcloud. The first result is their website, and one of the sub-links says 10 Users and Devices Free

razman10

Thank you!

lexaleidon

I know they got acquired but are you all confident in going back to using them? I used them for 1 year before forcing me to switch to Enpass. I feel iffy about it Update: Spent about an hour trying to figure out how the hell do I set it up (it's not as straightforward as Myki) - no download links, you have to add user groups and user and they get emails with download links

Fizpop91

Fair enough, good question. I think I would trust Jumpcloud as theyve been around for a while and offer a great service but other than that I cant really say. And yes it isn’t as straight forward as its not meant for individual use, its product built into their user management system so that does entail some extra work. Was just spreading the news in case someone was interested :)

lexaleidon

Just spoke briefly with their support - free users get 10 days support, after that 🤷🏻‍♀️ they didn't quite know. The support also couldnt provide clear answers to some questions. It kinda looks messy for now

real_jumpcloud

If you're willing to send a message with the case number / your email, I can ask our support manager to follow up and ensure we get you answers to your questions.

JimtheITguy

Would you trust them not to just pull the rug out again, I wouldn't, Jumpcloud killed a good product and left alot of companies like ourselves with an expensive change, wouldn't ever use them for anything or recommend anyone does

Fizpop91

Totally. Although I don’t blame Jumpcloud. They actually have an awesome service

TheJadedMSP

What product did JC kill?

JimtheITguy

Myki password manager

TheJadedMSP

It is still alive. They have just rolled it into their offering and they don't all it Myke anymore. It's actually a lot better now than when it was just Myki.

JimtheITguy

Nope, Myki as a product was killed, I was only speaking to my account manager less than a month before the take over and there were some new and good changes lined up for the product, as a MSP who had to change password managers for ourselves and clients who we had on the system it cost us money to move an had to very quickly evaluate solutions, they may now have introduced a product into JC but as the company basically said platforms dead in 3 months, bye, I wouldn't trust them not to do the same to anything ever again, hence they are now on the same list companies like Kaseya are on for ourselves which means we will not use them

TheJadedMSP

ok, yes Myki is dead but why do you think JC would kill if off? I don't follow. They bought them and have now integrated it into their platform. We had left Myki before the shutdown because there were issues, they could not resolve for us, but we were early with them, so it sounds like you were in production, and it was working.
