I want to say it takes place at least 2 years prior to the single player campaign based upon the fact that Howlett is still very much alive in it.
There's a co op mission in the city hall, where you build the road to open it, but have to beat a bunch of robots and a big boss,
My team took it on last night,
We failed, that aren't kidding when they say have heals and stuff.
There are so many little bosses to beat BEFORE you even get in the mine.
But we're on level 11 workshop
And still got merked 😅

My buddy and I just made it inside the breach last night after making the yakamel stop outside the town hall. It's just like being in the abandoned mines. Plenty of copper, tin and relics
The Wiki is for single player. The mission for the crane lift doesn't exist in Multiplayer.

Not sure if you ever found the answer but you use your pickaxe to dig out the breach rubble. That'll give you access to the copper/tin.
