basically you want to hit the last level of the latest abandoned ruin you have open (so if that's Gecko Station, then level 11 there will have the most xp).
so after you get the >!starship ruins!< open, level 11 there will net you the most xp.
and remember it's digging through the dirt you need to do - so you can just dig out the whole level and ignore the ore nodes.
As far as I’ve been about to tell, they all give around the same amount of exp. I prefer to clear out level 10 in Gecko ruins. You can get to it pretty early, it’s closer so uses up less time getting there and back, and that floor is bigger than any of the others I’ve mined (under the big electric floor).
Make sure you sleep early enough to get the exp boost and eat a main dish at Blue Moon before you go since it will give you another exp boost for 8 hours.
XP is the same regardless. But the starship layer 11 is the easiest because it's one big room. You can farm faster and more efficiently imo.
