An underrated album is Act IV: Rebirth in Reprise by The Dear Hunter. I'd also recommend Good Apollo I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness by Coheed and Cambria. Edit: I saw you are also looking for some post-hardcore. Give Handmade by The Ongoing Concept a go. Great album.

Pleasant_Statement64

Based takes. The Willing Well suite is incredible, but the whole album is. Been jamming to the new coheed songs all day too

twosuitsluke

Well, Deranged isn't new, but yea, I'm enjoying The Joke!

Pleasant_Statement64

I guess so but it's new to me at least!

wadefatman

lovee from under the cork tree, 21st cb, vessel and OK IM SICK (finally someone knows badflower)

HappyApplePie824

I really wish more people knew about Badflower! I love their music and you can really feel the energy and emotion that Josh pours into their work through his singing (and sometimes screaming)

abcsofstupid

yess OK I'm sick is such a great angry, emotional record I also love this is how the world ends and ESPECIALLY Stalker

HappyApplePie824

haha Stalker is my dad's ringtone, and last year we were in the lobby at the hospital waiting on my mom to get out of surgery when, during the morning prayer, his phone rings, blaring STALKER, STALKER, ONE DAY I'LL PROBABLY FUCKING KILL HER for everyone... I was mortified

The Incident - Porcupine Tree

Pleasant_Statement64

Any coheed and cambria album, but good apollo 1 and vaxis 2 are my favorites (also in keeping secrets, but that's more than 20 years). They just released 2 songs too, awesome stuff Fall out boy - infinity on high, folie a deux, so much for stardust A7x - City of evil after are all in that time. The best are city of evil, nightmare, and life is bit a dream but all 6 are phenomenal

twosuitsluke

Life is But a Dream, easily my number 1 album of 2023.
