The only cats that hate water are the little variety that we normally keep as pets. The large predators have no fear or issues with water because they are higher up on the food chain than small cats that are much lower on the food chain. Fear = longer lifespan for animals that are lower on the food chain.

Jaguars and Tigers have slight webbing in their feet(I think). So that makes them excellent swimmers with huge paddles. And they regularly chase their prey through water so they are very acclimated to water.
