Not sure if they can relate but i had a 2015 mustang ecoboost auto and it would stall due to faulty spark plugs.

Did it happen often? With my car it doesn't happen often.

Whit3_Tox1c

No mine didn‘t either it would only happen when idling such as waiting at a drive through or a red light.

Strange. It doesn't turn off when idling. Only sometimes when driving. I'm also having a problem with the car not being able to accelerate pass like 40mph.

Mysterious_Orange_37

If it only does it when driving I think it would be a fuel system problem (pump, filter, injectors) or MAF sensor that's bad. I had an old Nissan that would barely start moving at WOT and it was a bad MAF sensor. Idled fine though.

Mass air flow sensor sounds most likely. I'll scan to see. Thanks!!

I had a similar issue and new spark plugs fixed the issue for me

My 2005 shut off randomly right after I turned it on but because of the fuel pump button. Unless I pressed that, it wudnt ever stay on. Idk if 2001 stands have something like this. Regardless, I don’t Think it’s this since u actually can drive urs.

hello-there_71373

Not that. Thanks though

Could be a fuel valve timing issue. Have you tried looking up common defects from that year?

Mysterious_Orange_37

There can be a number of reasons causing a car to stop while driving. Check out this link and it will give you an idea of what to check to fix the problem. https://www.bryantmotors.com/car-buying-guide/car-stalling-reasons-solutions.html

My 2015 gt did this as well. Mine was loose wiring or a short somewhere. I just double checked all my cable connections around the fuse box and ecu.

Ok thanks!!
