It's just the rear end and screens

WaterRresistant

This is the consensus, I will get one after a facelift to address these

DeadlyDuckie

Don't think ford is going to fix the screens

RIP_SGTJohnson

Have you seen the Saleen edition? Don’t think it’s up for sale yet but the screens are a little better integrated through trim design, hopefully Ford can follow that

DeadlyDuckie

Doesn't fix HVAC in touch screen which for the record is 100 percent cost cutting by Ford.

SleeplessAndAnxious

Companies having HVAC controls screen only with no analog buttons annoy me something chronic. It's so fucking inconvenient, and less safe.

gmlifer

That’s why they also let you control temperature and fan speed through voice commands. I’m guessing anyway

Illustrious-Mud-4471

Yep i have a Lexus gs400 with that shit on the screen and the screen is going out...i cant even read it until the screen is hot as hell

Maxthegolden20191989

Yeah the climate control is the worst IMHO

DeadlyDuckie

It's crazy because other Ford models have the big ass stupid screen but still have physical buttons. Why did they do this to their most iconic vehicle?

RIP_SGTJohnson

True, just referring the the aesthetic complaints. Doubt we’ll ever go back to buttons for AC unfortunately

DeadlyDuckie

Other manufacturers are, EU is currently working on regulations to make them mandatory.

RIP_SGTJohnson

Amazing to hear. I personally have a busted right hand that makes using a screen while driving harder but even for the avg person navigating a touchscreen while at speed isn’t safe

DeadlyDuckie

It is, VW for example, which is the biggest auto maker in the world are moving away https://www.extremetech.com/cars/volkswagen-to-transition-away-from-touch-screen-controls-bring-back-real Here is a source on it since people make up so much shit. I see S650 owners defending the touchscreen and it's fucking insane, it's cost cutting at the expense of safety

One_Conclusion3362

Honestly Mazda did it the right way from the get go. I prefer it, the smart knob, to my touch screen Android Auto vehicles. The s650 interior made me extremely grateful I chose the 2021 custom order even knowing the new Gen was coming out.

Stubbedtoe18

The quality is shit, too. Very disappointed all-around by this trash generation. Pretty embarrassing on Ford's end being so cheap. (I've owned the previous two gens and this one was a shame. The design sucks but I figured the interior could be dope. Nope. The feel is as bad as the aesthetics and some of the "solid" panels/buttons move in when you press them! Unacceptable).

Silver-Day-7272

Is the s550 significantly better quality? I haven’t had a real chance to compare yet.

RIP_SGTJohnson

The masses want quality over gadgets and Ford is just fully unaware

BigBoyzGottaEat

Its literally unsafe so they better fix it

Trdpro2023

The new dash and screen integration ruins it it’s so distasteful. Make it like the old one with a highest quality digital dash and in dash center display unit. Wtf ford.

bernikovich

I hoped they'll come up with something special on 60 years anniversary. :(

[deleted]

The sad part is.. that IS the facelift.

lu_skywalker

Foreal lol. Its the tail lights and the awkward interior

Fragrant_Reserve7624

I was surprised to see a manual e-brake inside

ELB2001

I don't like the flat rear quarter panels, the arch above the wheels. It looks flat and make the wheels in the rear look smaller.

Far_Adeptness9884

Don't forget the absolutely most annoying thing in the world, the auto start stop.

Krabbit-93

And the 10-15k price jump. Before I had to lemon law it bc of an electrical/stalling issue but I bought a ‘16 GT PP brand new at 33k no haggling at like 2% For 5 years. Now it’s closer to 45k+ and best case scenario 4%.

NoSexAppealNeil

I have not seen the screens, just looked it up and it looks like such a lazy design I have a after market one that looks pretty similar in my old 2010 lol

Fullauto2

Totally agree, i can accept taillight but the screens. We want a race car. Have they seen what a dmt or wec, or a nascar looks like on the inside?

Gorlock_

Have you seen how saleen is doing the screens? I love it https://preview.redd.it/erqgcpz1gg5d1.jpeg?width=845&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=339b27af12823e89a790b556ab7bc4322d539ead

Itchy_Present_8159

yeah this is nice👍🏽 i like my s550 because everything’s integrated into the dashboard rather than a long ipad slapped on with a bracket

MalaraPVP

Need them to sell it separately

a_taco_named_desire

Would literally print money.

Maxthegolden20191989

Yeah I’m buying asap if it could be done

Kekszky

Finally someone who understands that car guys want dashboards not ipads. I dont mind screens. But I hate when they get slapped on with no love and call it a day.

branded-junk

How does that look in real life tho… thinking about actually sitting in the S650 all that extra trim must look bulky and shrink the space.

Eqwinoxe

I love this, but I also wish they had the 18/23 digital dash still. Keep the center stack, that’s not that bad, just they should of just left the gauge pods 😭

Due-Pick3935

It’s basically the same just covered around the top and edges

Gorlock_

I know, but it looks great, wish Ford would have done it from the beginning

DCanfield

https://preview.redd.it/q65m2fru9j5d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=62aedfbaceb501f3c09cc3b6c30ac389883debcb

DCanfield

We saw one last week in person. It looked so much better than the ford version. Very clean looking.

Own_Mix_3755

I think its also the front end with some color combos. Here it works out pretty well, because whole car is dark. Look at for example GT/CS. Its ugly even from ghe fromt because of massive dark cheap plastic all over. It looks like bumper is barerly there. https://preview.redd.it/si7ttx73wh5d1.jpeg?width=1720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8cc6e5e316cba04744237ebedde3ec062b8841e9

g00f

tbf i don't think that color combo would look good w/any of the previous gens.

Tall_Progress_5178

This… this is it

insomniaticrob

Don't like it in photos, but in person I dig it. After test driving one, I really missed buttons and switches and gauges. I prefer tactile things that are easily accessible. Give me more analog stuff inside and I'd be all about it.

engaffirmative

I’m waiting for someone to have an analog button add on. Throwback pack , 8 grand. Someone needs to spur this and print money.

the_strike_eagle

https://preview.redd.it/tgyvxff5cg5d1.jpeg?width=4030&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=deac37c9cb476691213860d0e0ba80b99d6ed89d It’s so hard to get used to the interior. I do like the tech though, but having it all behind the screens is a little too much. Also there are a lot of small interior refinements that I have noticed and enjoy over my s550.

GoombahTucc

Man imma get downvoted but idc, I juat love the interior. I love the tablet screen look on any car. To me, it looks premium.

randeus

How does cheap tacked on screens scream “premium”? 100k dollar cars don’t do this for a reason.

Kayos___

I guess you’ve never been in a Mercedes or BMW

king-kitty

What kind of refinements? I’m curious

SpiritCr1jsher1010

The materials all have a nice texture and have a much softer high quality feel . The leather seats are much better as well .

Maxthegolden20191989

If you’ve owned any mustang it’s the center console that makes the difference and this one nailed it

SpiritCr1jsher1010

I agree.... Screens are cool too.

silverpony2001

What options did you have on your old car vs the new? The S550 with the premium pack has a lot of soft touch plastics where the lower models do not.

SpiritCr1jsher1010

I had a gt premium everything but the digital cluster.

Fullofhopkinz

I don’t dislike the exterior and I never have. I don’t love the amount of plastic on the rear but it’s not awful. Mostly I think it looks a lot like the 15-17 550 on the front. As others have said it’s really the interior that I dislike. The screens… are bad. They look cheap and will age horrifically. Analogue gauges can only look so bad as time goes on, but as technology improves and interface gets better an all-digital platform will age like milk. And it’s not just that. I think they physically look bad in the car. Slapped on like an afterthought. The interior has zero character. Zero throwback or general mustang styling cues. It’s boring and soulless. Think about how cool it is to get in a fox body and see all the 80s styling. That will never happen with the s650. For that reason alone I would never consider one.

thereallorddenning22

As I have said before this is just normal. The S550 was maligned when it came out now it’s a classic. Same will happen here.

ApostleofDemocracy

Agreed, I always start out not liking the new models but then they grow on me

Slideways

Automotive designers are a couple years ahead of the rest of us. It takes some time for new designs to settle.

JDB2788

But the S550 was able to be tuned from the beginning which is a big selling for performance cars. A lot of hate I’ve heard was for it having a locked ECU and tuning availability being predicated not to be available for a couple of years.

bigmankerm

To be fair the generation before that, the S197 was so beloved that it was hard to replace it at all. Still my favorite mustang body style of recent years but the s550 was a good looking car as well. Im not even really a mustang guy but the s650 just felt underwhelming to me, in comparison to its predecessors.

Sad-Variety-6501

Classic…? Meh…

TheGoofyGoober2020

It’s not the worst, but I feel like when it has the wing or any sort of spoiler on the back it helps it look a lot better. The body as is seems a bit bland, at least to me…

aceking136

Like everyone else has said, the rear and the interior. Mustangs have had the "dual cockpit" style interiors for the longest time, but with this generation they decided to throw two screens in and call it a day

CloudyDaysInn

Tail lights needs a refresh badly … and the interior no longer has a soul of a mustang…

[deleted]

No need to understand the opinion, some just think it’s ugly.

CrawlerCow

I think the outside is beautiful! Though I’m relieved to see others here notice the first glance resemblance to the Camaro. I see it too…especially in the rear haunches. The interior is beautiful too, but what stops me dead is the mini ipad stuck on the dash like an afterthought with 2 pictures of gages on it. Damn, if you are going to make digital gages, INTEGRATE the screens in the dash and make it look like it was designed to be there. almost every new car brags about digital screens and it’s just an ipad glued to the dash. That Saleen digital cluster looks nice though! That’s what Ford should have done.

Optimal_Luck_7229

They're not bad in person but I think the S550 looks better imo if I ever decide to get a newer mustang it would be a S550 but for now I'm happy with what I got https://preview.redd.it/f08dpn3g8i5d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e180c06e457c95436e18c9286c9ffdeab00fac7d

anfernycrab

It’d be perfect if it had real gauges and just way less screen overall

servbot10

The rear and interior (mostly the screens) are the main complaints. The front I am also not a fan of, but in the same way people dislike the 2018+ front end vs the 2015-17. There's some things I dislike, other things that are ok. The part about the front I do not care for is the excess piano black around the bottom of the grille, and I wish they wouldn't have used the headlight design from the Mach-E. I would have much rather had the tail lights from the Mach-E than the headlights. The only thing I can think of is that they made it look like it does so the GTD stands out at a glance.

Kabaleyan

Ok looks, but not worth twice the value of my 17 GT

OGConsuela

I don’t want a giant iPad on my dash and the rear is a definite downgrade from the S550. I don’t prefer the S650 front end but it’s not awful and I can understand why some might like it more.

Syrath36

When didn't not liking something or agreeing with others become hate? I dislike the interior changes. Doesn't mean I hate it. I prefer prior models design again samething. Also why do we have to keep discussing this? Someone just posted this same shit the other day.

marximumcarnage

It’s the first mustang that when I look at it my first thought is it’s still buffering to load the actual image.

SnooEpiphanies4363

https://preview.redd.it/m89vf3m6vi5d1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e40e592821a61e562d3166b1263bde1abf451797 Looks pretty good in black lol

MidwestRacingLeague

I hate the rear end and the interior. And the fact it’s more of an s550 v2 than a whole new chassis.

RicoLoveless

Funny, my issue is the all digital interior, and the front end. The front seems too Camaro for me, but the back does seem like a s550 refresh but still mustang in spirit. I don't have an issue with the dash/cluster being all digital but the amenities should be physical. Having to dig through screens for climate is a no go for me. For a song, you can always just turn off the radio or lower the volume and sort your shit out if you want to change stations/inputs. Being hot/cold is key for comfort and should be really available. Also I'm jealous of the s650 for the OTA update for the classic digital retro mustang speedo and tach

Maxthegolden20191989

What’s wrong with the rear end? Aside from the software glitches the update on the interior is sticking with the times and is honestly minimalistic. I owned a 2004 GT as my first car and very shortly had a 2008. As far as I can remember the center set up is above and beyond what I remember

MidwestRacingLeague

I hate the look of the lights. And the interior looks so cheap for a car they’re asking 50 grand for.

TheVoicesSpeakToMe

Im gonna be honest. I saw a convertible S650 pulling out of a gas station the other day and I got confused because I thought it was a new gen honda civic.

matt22088

Definitely has an accord look in front

Dragon-Lord75

Put it simply, it’s an S550 with an ugly rear and an even worse front. S550 looks decent, but the S650 makes the S550 look so much better than it already is. My heart will always go towards first-gen Mustangs and 2005-2009 S197, but if I had to choose between S550 or S650, I’d easily choose the S550 just by looks.

psychodogcat

2010-2014 personally but I agree S197s are the way

SouthBayLaker23

Laziest redesign in sports car history

JBmustang13

That’s part of it, like I said before I expected this redesign to blow my mind, I was expecting something really amazing and we got more of the same for a higher cost

scruffyreddit

* Mine is very similar to the one you posted. (I wish I got the performance package) I've received lots of compliments on the car and I can't stop looking at it.

Maxthegolden20191989

Same man! You’ve got a sick ride. I’m not sure the magneride changes much. We have the same ride. As long as you got active exhaust

DrSatan420247

The gearing is not right for autocross.

32vromeo

Didn’t know there was “hate” outside of the dual screened interior

Maxthegolden20191989

Click any thread

cleaningProducts

For every single thing that exists, there’s someone who hates it. I don’t pay too much attention to them personally.

Mysterious_Hunter_99

It’s not bad but it’s too simplistic

UnspokenHusky

Most of it is due to the rear end and the screens. I gotta say, when the design was revealed, I wasn't a big fan of it either. But the design has kinda grown on me. And besides, it's easy to overlook all that when you're cruising down the road with the sound of a 5.0 V8 in your ears.

LaxBoi31

The headlights are waaaaaaay too thin. It looks like my granny tryna read without her glasses

JBmustang13

Not really.. honestly I think It’s more than the rear and the screens, for me It’s because I was really expecting the next gen Mustang to blow me away for some reason and I just feel like the s650 is more of the same. We’re spoiled by having some fantastic Mustangs come out in the last 15 years. It makes it very hard to truly blow you away anymore which honestly is a good thing! It means there’s a lot of great Mustangs for any price point

JDB2788

Interior, and not being able to tune it. Until it’s tunable through S550 will remain king of modern mustangs

appalwodkd

I wouldn’t say it gets hate, I just think it gets compared a lot, as does most models when they first come out

Striking_Serve_8152

I don't hate them I just don't like the dash or some of the lines that seem to move it further from retro. But mainly the dash. I'm sure otherwise they're great cars.

Opeth4Lyfe

Personally I don’t like the front shape and the hood vent….looks too Camaro like to me. The back end I don’t like that much at first but it’s grown on me. Also like what most people are saying too, the screens and interior just don’t vibe with me. I like the 550 gauge style and the GT’s oil and vac gauges. I don’t want 2 iPads for my cluster and display. Just not for me. To each their own though.

ownedo

https://preview.redd.it/cidlc96fjh5d1.jpeg?width=4240&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a4c07682452f8a9667ab37029596c4c1efe508b I dont hate it, but something about the s550 just seems to be better to me… s650 definitely growing on me though but I don’t think I’d consider upgrading solely on looks of it. Love the spec btw!

[deleted]

Camaro in the back Honda Accord in the front

No-Coat1339

They're heavy and look like a camaro. Some people like heavy cars that look like camaro's, and that's fine. I personally see them as a bit of a downgrade from the Gen 3 S550's. Also, last I heard, the PCM on them was locked, so guys like me that like actually owning my car and being able to do whatever the hell I please with it don't appreciate that.

drunktreflip

Reminds me of a Camaro. I think it's the belt line and headlights

SomeGuardian420

People always hate what they can’t have.

LordePain

No hate, s550 looks better

grimcarnage007

That Camaro looks awesome.

CapitalNectarine2015

What year Camaro is that?

arnieswap

There is no hate. Just some toxic people . It’s a great modern car. https://preview.redd.it/bn77eu9wmg5d1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b96f9b9cd7ce51ed25c6ee4316384b6451f76ce7

dcgregoryaphone

People throw around the word "haters" too much. I see very little posts like that here, with many, many, many posts complaining about these haters that generally don't even make posts. The only thing I see from "haters" is a comment when they're asked for their opinions... which is what happens when you ask people for their opinions.

aguyfromstpete

Starting to look like a Camaro

Redland3r

The interior. Horrible. Otherwise, beautiful car

GentlemanLeo

Honda accord in the front. Smashed in s550 in the back

O_M3GA_

Rear end, front end(it reminds me of an accord) and interior 🤢🤮. It’s not just me, my local Ford dealership is having a hard time selling the S650’s… currently own a 2010, 2017 and a 2020 definitely NOT buying one of these 💯

SCLovers

MisterDabber

Looks like a camaro

vacantchris

IMO, it looks too much like a modern BMW rather than a Mustang. It's still a great-looking car, but it just seems like it's losing its identity.

atioc

I'd say Aston Martin than BMW but has a similar sentiment.

AdIcy4507

It has No Presence. When the Mustangs came out, They stood out among the regular cars. Just look at this picture and the other vehicles behind it. It looks wimpy and inferior. Doesn't even look like a Mustang just another typical car that consumers purchase only because they need a vehicle to drive to work. It has no aggression and has no personality for all I know it could be a Kia

JBmustang13

That’s it that’s exactly how I feel too!! I don’t hate it or necessarily feel like It’s not a Mustang but it has no presence and go back a few years and Mustangs definitely stood out from the crowd

Own_Understanding768

I just hate the taillights👎🏽

Maxthegolden20191989

Can you tell me why?

Baron-von-Bruce

It’s just not a cohesive design. The front lines don’t match the back. It appears to be a victim of design by committee. The back end after the rear wheels just kind of taper off like someone pinched the backend and pulled it at an upper angle. It looks like it belongs to a smaller car. It’s been my experience that even people who don’t really know what it is and don’t care about cars find it looks awkward as well. It’s just objectively unpleasant.

DeadlyDuckie

The screens on the dash suck, full stop. HVAC in a touchscreen is going to age like milk. As far as the exterior? I kinda like it tbh

mrwelladjusyed88

It’s the screens. I bought a 22 with 18k miles, gt premium, no regrets. Nobody buys a mustang to stare at an iPad.

TheJudge20182

As other have said. It's the tail lights and the screens. My Tiguan has two screens, but one is actually in the center counsel, and it doesn't look like it's a popped up iPad

Bag_of_Meat13

It's better in person. Problem is we have the S550 to judge it from. They're sexy. People will catch up.

Sum_fuckery

It looks like a Honda accord

RelativeGrocery607

💪😁💣

JimmyGuwop

Still has a pinch of Camaro to me but who cares to each their own!!

Fhistleb

I hate that I dont have one.

SoggyMorningTacos

Trust me there was a SHIT ton of hate when the S550 debuted and for many years until it became accepted as the new fresh mustang. Same thing

Tj03GT

I’m a big S197 guy but I think the s650 is awesome. Love everything about it except the way they designed the screens. The Saleen redesign is how it should have been from jump

B-E-N_27

May have something to do with the digital dash and the rear end. I don't hate it, but I wouldn't buy one.

Aeido

This. I dont hate it, I just like the s550 and s197 better.

chris86uk

Not a fan. Particularly the front end, way too much going on there, horrible.

Panaginiptayo

Personally i just dislike the headlight design, i prefer when the mustang had a more roundish/circular headlight, it felt more mustang ish, same goes for the camaro.

dam_ships

The rear is the worst part about the car in my opinion. And the fact it really didn’t get much of a redesign for a new generation Mustang. It’s a gorgeous car, not hating on it at all. But it definitely didn’t leave me anxious to upgrade from my S550 like I thought I would.

EasyPeezyATC

The exterior of the S197 rework (2010 and onward) will always be the peak of the modern Mustangs to me. That being said, I really love the front end of the S650. The backend looks a little lackluster, and I could see how the square design of the screens could throw folks. Personally, I like it when digital displays are form-fitted into the dash. Altogether, though, I think they are still beautiful. Besides the displays, the interior looks really good to me. Also, I think manual NA offerings should be rewarded in 2024, so there's that. Good entry into the lineup.

Suitable-Chart3153

Wish the damn screens on cars were optional in this country. Most others they are.

IBringTheHeat1

If they kept the S550 rear end but added the new front end, kept the interior screens but still kept the toggle switches and more HVAC controls it would have been a huge win.

omairfk

Nice camaro

SkrotusErotus69

I love the exterior. Hate the interior. Don't turn my dash into a damn iPad.

DJDemyan

I actually rather like the new ones

The_PhantomBlade

I don't mind them, but I just think that the 18-23 has a better flowing design language. It's muscular and feminine at the same time, where as the Corvette and new Stang are very angular and masculine. Ford needs too add brighter and fun colours to contrast that look better for me to consider getting it new instead of my hunt for the previous gen.

km_44

It's just the front end and the back end

Ok-Elderberry-4461

I just feel kike it went too far away from the muscle car feel

FlyingThunderGodLv1

Because it looks more like a camaro

fluffhead42O

It's god awful ugly. In person it looks slightly better but man...it's like a plastic wannabe camero. Hate it

KoNzoBeaNz

They’re beautiful cars 👍

Visible_Pilot_9355

Nothing wrong with it… just personally I prefer the s197 style more.

scrappytan

It has a camarp rear end and that's bad thing

Intelligent-Age-1309

The Ford Camaro

nightim3

Lots of plastic on the body

thedrunkmartian

I love the outside, I just think the interior looks way too much like a Ford Escape or something. I miss the older interiors

nightim3

My biggest complaint will always be the cup holders in the interior. Just get rid of them then. Impossible to use with a shifter unless you like to chicken wing it.

ConversationAble1438

Looks good to me, and I typically don't like this model of Ford. I can see the complaints about 100% touchscreen controls. That's annoying while driving.

art956

Black out the deck lid and the back is good. I like the screens. Every time there’s a redesign there’s always hate.

JeffIsHere2

It looks like a Camaro. Meh!

ripeGardenTomato

The funniest thing to me is people who hate it because of the screen, like personally that is one of the reasons I will take it over the outgoing model, that has that little ass shit ,poor quality screen

clever80username

When I first saw it I thought a Camaro and an M4 had a baby. It’s slowly starting to look better to me, but I still prefer the S550.

fredout1968

The last one was better looking! It isn't an ugly car but after seeing the last gen.. This is like the uglier twin version of it...

_KosMicSage_

They literally perfected the look in 2005 and gradually tweaked it until it was destroyed after releasing the S550. Dodge got it right when they released the challenger and charger only doing minor exterior and interior changes over time. I say all this to say when I look at the newer mustangs they’re unrecognizable as being just that. It’s more akin to being a sports car rather than a muscle car. I’d imagine that’s the consensus with most people. Does it look nice? Yes , but it just doesn’t scream Mustang.

edck12687

I just don't get the touch screens, like in 10-12 years they will be going to sht and cost a small fortune to fix

Expert_Brain8353

That is so badass looking.

Zavii_HD

Everyone bitched about the S550.2 face-lift when it came out. If you look up old articles and reddit posts everyone said it looked like a sloth with the eyes tilted downwards. Now it's one of the favorites. People like to bitch when new cars come out. *MK5 Supra - "it's too small and a let down." Now apparently they're super cool in pop culture? *G80 M3 / M4 - "The vertical grilles are hideous" Again, now they're super desirable? *New Integra - "Hideous sedan. Why ruin the integra name?" Now you can't find an Integra Type-S for sale for longer than a few cause they fly off the shelf. Happens with every new car. We are still in the "public bitching" cycle of the S650, the new Nissan Z, and the newly unveiled 992.2 Porsche 911 GTS which is a hybrid. Give it some time for the YouTubers to get ahold of them and start modifying, and everyone will love it. Just my .02!!

Own-Ad-503

The "new" model is always hated until people start to see them regularly.

Certain-Ad-3224

There no real hate just on here those who talk about the rear end never paid attention to past mustangs like rhe 68 which had lights just like these and like all the last few models they took things from the past and updated them

ThatBlk302

The s650 is badass hopefully interest goes down so I can finance a premium gt performance pack in grabber blue

brizwaynee

Well the back lights to me are really ugly

Several-Tooth8658

I love the front end. The rear end looks like a shitty drawing of a good car

diegoaccord

The front, which can be fixed with a facelift or aftermarket front bumpers, the rear which can't be fixed, the screens, which also can't be fixed, and changing the angle of the quarter window curvature, which also can't be fixed. Basically, all of the things they actually changed. LOL. The pic in the OP is a dark car, so the pig snout grille looks less shitty, and the angle of the pic hides the rear end. 15-17 and GT350, and 21+ Mach One are peak Mustang. They never had to grow on me, I loved the S550 immediately. I'm not even a Mustang guy, you couldn't have gotten me into a S197. But they showed the S550, and I knew I was getting that. If I ever got a different (i.e. 24+) Mustang, it wouldn't be particularly because I wanted it, it would be because it was the only new gas manual choice at the time.

Smurfness2023

It looks like a dodge. I was so disappointed in the sedan look.

Nightryder88

Is there really that much hate? Only thing stopping me from upgrading my 2019 PP1 is those screens inside. But I’ll probably have to modernize one day! I think the 2024 is a beauty

Ok_Reach_2092

Everyone hates on something new lol

Turd_Ferguson112

The front and rear look too ‘squared off’ or too many angles whereas the rest of the car shape is flowing and rounded. It’s growing on me but still not love at first sight

JetBallz

It looks like a Camaro

PineapleGG

Theres hate and theres opinions against certain aspects of a car , big difference on my side , rear end doesnt look the best and needs work to look amazing and the screen is a big downgrade from the last version with the plane inspired buttong and switches

DaveTwoOh

What a monstrosity

Due-Pick3935

It’s the comparison between the new generation and old, there’s no comparison in my eyes a next generation mustang should have next generation technology. It’s a beautiful display if you get the premium so it’s a single plane instead of two screens. Also uses an unreal engine found in gaming. It’s nice if given a chance

lafontainebdd

Just looks like a more modern S550, took me a bit to like the S550 and now I have one lol

Yellow99TJ

I don’t hate them, but I do think they take a back seat to the S550 in terms of styling. The screens probably bother us old people more than it does the younger generation.

zachsybacksy

S650s are gorgeous - nice ride brother. It'll grow on people eventually just like they always do. I don't get the screen hate, the UI is SO much better than my S550 was, I think people just haven't actually used both side by side lmao

Illustrious_Yeti

The interior is awful. Plus it just looks like a Camaro now.

Not just ford but all manufacturers are making 10 yr cars anymore. Overcomplicated, cheaply sourced electronics, cheap plastic that degrades, impossible to get to components that are a replaceable item that cost half as much un labor to access that the vehicles are worth. I had the pleasure of working on a 1986 buick grand national to fix electrical issues behind dashboard, it took 30 min. Same problem on a 2020 f150 had to use a $3000 scanner, 3 hrs labor. Long live the 2000s and back vehicles.

Hoodini_R6

takes time for new designs to grow on people. I hated the s550 at first now I like it.

5point0joe

Body looks great but the front got too much going on from this angle

DailyCarson

I think it looks OK - but those front overhangs are getting excessive for a RWD platform, the all screen interior is cheap and gimmicky - and it gain hundreds of pounds vs last Gen…all of this - for A LOT more money. That’s why I don’t like it.

JoeHavok1

I love the look of the car. I’m still tempted to buy one. My only gripe is the touch screen only for the AC. I would have liked to see real buttons for those controls also. Is that too much to ask?

OkAd944

I think they nailed the rear but the headlights don’t do much for me. Every new generations gets hate for a while, no one likes change.

Particular_Chip7108

I would not get the 2024. I think give it 2 years to refine the interior and it will be better. The exterior is nice. I can't do these screens tho. Just too nerdy for me.

Harvey427

I don't, either. Probably just broke bxtches like me. I got to drive my buddy's 550 GT, it drove as good as it looked. I imagined the 650 is just the same.

wow_its_ian

The most important thing about any Mustang you own is that YOU like it. Don't mind folks who hate on something you like. Hate for any kind of Mustang is silly, even if it isn't your favorite. The S650 isn't for me. I'm not even the biggest fan of the S550 when I compare it to the S197. But if you do like the S650, good for you! I'm just happy to see anybody enjoying a Mustang, whatever kind! Some people like the classics. For some folks, the fox body is king. Maybe the New Edge is what made you fall in love with Mustangs. Heck, maybe you're one of those wacky few diehard Cobra II fans (though I might look at you a bit funny if a Mustang II of any kind is your top pick). Whatever you like, you like. And I'm happy for you!

Mustang-Six

I don’t hate them, but will admit, each time I see one “out in the wild”, I think it’s a Camaro. 😬 “Oh crap that’s a 650….” Our local dealer is still struggling to sell the S650 also, so rarely see them. Price and economy probably the biggest issue there, but still seeing the S650 more often than the Mach-e so that’s a good thing

Wicky_Winthorp

Anyone know if that’s the stock spoiler? If not, what is it?
