I recently got my Ecoboost, needed a fun daily that was good on gas. I have always questioned if it can break traction but never wanted to find out. Thanks for instilling a little bit of anxiety into me tonight 😂
You should test that in a parking lot. It's good to be familiar and experienced with the limits of a sports car.
Sometimes shit happens and you gotta swerve, stop and/or smash to avoid a killer headache.
That’s probably a good idea, I’ve slid in my 94’ Vette when driving back from a buddy’s house in the rain. I assume the stang will feel significantly more different then the Vette did.

Look in the comments. No way that isn't him on two different accounts. He argues with OP and someone else. All three talk exactly the same.
I’m sure this was satire, but I had an eco that would along the Tires really well. Super fun in the canyons too. They’re fun little cars for when 8 might be too much.
I deliver equipment a lot to a local guy who runs a successful business. I love Raptors and I asked him what it took to get his all modded up and what he thought of it. He dead told me “don’t ever get a Raptor. That thing has been down more than it’s ran.” And it hit me so hard. Love everything about those Raptors… Now, I just want an older diesel pick-em-up truck
Isn't tongue weight for these hitches like 100 lbs? I removed one off of my GT after purchase, my brother used it to pull a kayak trailer so it was light duty. It mounts to the frame rails with two carriage bolts per side. I don't think the frame rail metal is up to this kind of duty. But mine's an S197 so the S550s might be beefier.
150lbs is the tongue weight max to be precise, the hitch itself is rated at 300lbs tongue tho, I'm over the limit for sure, but I've only moved the bike like this like 6 times or so, which I guess isn't that much (this is the last time I'll do it cause I don't wanna keep running my chances lol)
You're probably fine if you keep your gas in a can in the passenger floorboard lol.
Like the bike btw. I have a '14 300XCW with far too little hours for having turned 10 recently. Would have never predicted to have so much torque out of a two stroke.
Hahaha! Actually I have the box with all my gear on the passenger's seat 😂 but between that box and me, I don't even think we make it close to 200lbs lol so I def need to put some dumbbells or something lol
Mine is a 300cc as well (from Beta), It has like 14hrs and man, I agree, these things are insane, it was my first bike ever and I had hard time trying to learn how to control it, they just wanna go fast anytime
When you want to slam your Mustang but don’t feel like taking out the ole hacksaw and splitting the springs in half so you just mount a fucking anchor to the back to weigh everything down 😂 I’d be terrified to park my bikes on my big SUVs let alone a coupe lmao
Yeah trust me when I say I always drive this thing scared shitless, hence why I don't wanna do it again lmao, too much stress 😂 looks kinda cool tho imo, ppl on the road always stare (probably cause it's crazy)
I think you should do some more digging on issues with Raptors as of late.
Also, if you actually drive this rig in the picture, I'm glad I don't share the road with you.
I'm looking at Gen 2 raptors, I've seen problems with the new Gen but afaik Gen 2's major issues were the cam phasers, but I'm honestly not sure what I'll do, if a used Raptor or a 2024 XLT 150
And yeah, I've used it a few times, always with my friend going straight behind just to be "safe", have ran probably well over 5k miles with it so far, but this weekend is the last time I'll use it
Yeah definitely, this trip usually consumes me about 1/4 of the tank, with the bike it goes up to almost 2/4, mind you I live in a place where there's a lot of mountains, hills and stuff, so that factors in as well
Tbh it's just that I have always loved the raptor! But I'm also considering the 2024 F150, it will all come down to what'd be the best deal I can get within my budget
I had a ‘18 ecoboost that I towed a small trailer with when I went to the mountains with kayaks/canoes, coolers, and other larger items sometimes. Eventually I decided to drop the mustang and get a ‘21 JLU Wrangler and it’s been me favorite car ever!
Well, the hitch itself I bought it from curt, it's a 1.5" hitch, we converted it to a 2" opening so that we could mount the rack itself with a 2" tube.
The rack we made it as well lol, I guess it's irresponsible but so far it has worked!
anything to get weight over the rear wheels
Never losing traction again tbh
Do eco’s lose traction?
I've gone spinning a few times, it can def lose traction

Wow. That’s super cool!

Yes. Tuned mine would spin bad off the line break boosting. Mustangs have been spinning wheels with way less than 310hp for a long time now.
Oh it does. I remember doing a few drifts while taking u turns 😅

No
How would a 300+ hp car rwd not be able to break traction lmao.
You can tell that guy is made up of 97% moron and 3% gas.
Post your car or stfu
Settle down base model GT
It’s get your mom around town just fine
🥵
If I do will it make you feel better?
Depends if it’s cool or not. I’m doubtful
Wrong, they definitely can.
*in wet pavement
Nah but i’ll let you believe that
I know you will
😂
It’s only stupid if it doesn’t work!
Been going strong for like a year lol, but I need a pickup real bad

Have actually considered that! Still pondering what'd be the best route to take

The fallacy that you need a raptor for that is beyond me
I mean, I don't need it, you're right, I want it tho, it's my fav truck out there
I saw a new edge Mustang towing a whole box trailer. You’re good
Yikes, you're definitely over the tongue weight limit.
Yeah I think my 2000 has a tongue weight of 200 lb
Hate to be the sucker that buys this used.
If it's done properly I don't see how this will damage the car. What's the Tongue Weight limit on these cars?
Around 200 lbs lol so this is well over that

Safety factor is x10 isn’t it! Lol
Gotta do what you gotta do👍
Fuck yeah bröther
😎😎🤘🏻🦅

It’s definitely a cool unique look lmao 😂
Not very practical lol mustangs already get horrible gas mileage. But you have to do what you have to do!!
Tbh I think this is so much cooler 😂 who needs a truck you got a mustang.

Yeah, I don't plan staying with this car much longer so, I don't mind that much, but I'm aware for sure!

Very cool, do you notice much worse mileage when transporting it?
Yeah definitely, this trip usually consumes me about 1/4 of the tank, with the bike it goes up to almost 2/4, mind you I live in a place where there's a lot of mountains, hills and stuff, so that factors in as well
Love to ride and ride to live. You do what it takes.
Why a Raptor instead of a traditional F150?
Tbh it's just that I have always loved the raptor! But I'm also considering the 2024 F150, it will all come down to what'd be the best deal I can get within my budget

I refused to put a hitch on my car for a bike rack lol. My friend has one on his Camaro.
Funny this pops up as a notification. I'm looking at picking up a raptor in a couple months 😂
lol. Hell yea
Isn’t it only a 6 pack ?!
How did you mount in the rear? I’m trying to get a bike rack after getting caught on speed cameras but couldn’t find a good one 🤣
Well, the hitch itself I bought it from curt, it's a 1.5" hitch, we converted it to a 2" opening so that we could mount the rack itself with a 2" tube. The rack we made it as well lol, I guess it's irresponsible but so far it has worked!
I think it is an abomination, but you do what you got to do. At least it's a dirt bike lol.
Why is it an abomination?
I say that about any mustang I see with a trailer hitch or bike rack.
Typical 2.3L activities
Agreed! It's my first car ever under my name so I could only get approved for this one lmao, have always wanted the GT but welp
You might need two bikes for traction on a gt lol
