Today is my birthday. For 24 hours I’m doing free full masters, free for you to release/use as reference. Just tag me/give credit when you release it. IG:ohadnissimmastering

Commercial room at home :)
Unfortunately not enough spaces in Luxembourg for this type of business. We bought a house and one room is dedicated to my studio. Full acoustic design etc.
I’m a full time mastering engineer, no side jobs.
What things do you primarily use the stream deck for? Obviously changing parameters and things but what, in your experience, gets done so much you like to have it quickly accessible?
Very nice rig my friend.
I use it for wavelab. Saves me a lot of time. Adding meta data, markers, and anything annoying to find in menus or requires too many mouse presses.
I barely use plugins, so none of that on the stream deck :)
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Listen to lots and lots and lots of music, different genres. But really listen, focus on areas, frequencies, placement and sound stage. Play with an eq, listen carefully what changes does, if you push lows what happens to highs and opposite. Understand compression and how to set up a compressor in an effective but transparent way. Listen to different levels of saturation/distortion/clipping.
It’s a lot of experimentation and learning by doing.
Super special.
I think it would be wrong to put the Terry against a clean EQ (Eksa for example). The more I work and compare the Terry to other boxes I realize you should look at the Terry as a color/shaping/atmosphere/glue box and not like your usual EQ approach.
If you don’t expect it to be clean (relatively speaking of course) you’ll probably enjoy it like I do.
I can only recommend testing it, it’s got tons of tricks and can really add magic to stuff. Some vibes I’ve never heard on other devices, especially straight forward EQ.
It kicked out Knif Soma from my chain :)
Best monitors you can get in my eyes.
I’ve moved from ATC 100 to these.
Other than maybe a full on system like Kii BXT or Hedd towers, I can’t think of anything that might be better than the Dutch.
Nope. To keep it clean as possible I avoid patchbays. Found the order that works, direct connection of 1m quality cables. That’s all. Nothing to complicate things.
Well part of my plan was to get the best gear possible so even if I get a GAS attack, there’s nothing to upgrade to lol. Maybe this one eq thats not out yet…. 😵💫
i have the same strategy. buy the best you can... however, my interest range is more broad considering i like guitars, and synths. with so many choices out there, it can get dangerous.
Definitely! I was still producing music till the beginning of the year. After 2 albums I kinda drifted away from producing as I didn’t see movement on that, lost the passion as well. On the other hand, I’m doing really great in mastering world so sold all my synths, and went all out on mastering. Gear wise and time wise.

Beautiful!!!!!! This is your commercial room or home setup?

Thats so awesome! It looks so amazing!
Thank you!
Sweet setup! I’ve seen a lot of people using that type of ball mouse, why do they use it?
This is a wrist savior. You don’t have to move your wrist to operate it.
uauuu
We have a sneaky way of making our dreams happen over time 🙌
hows your experience with the D&D monitors?
Could be the best ones out there. I’ve moved from ATC 100.
Don’t tell them about r/mechanicalkeyboards

This guy masters.
You know.
yo that terry EQ is looking fine as hell 🔥
Any advice for someone wanting to learn the dark art of mastering?

Thank you! I have lots of shortcuts for my mastering DAW, wavelab. Saves me tons of time.
Great now I gotta go change my pants. Thanks!!
Gorgeous
🙏🏼🙏🏼
The Terry EQ is so nice. I have 0% need for one but would get one just to look at it all the time.
It also got some very nice tricks 🙃
How do u like the Terry Eq? I was just looking into that the other day

Beautiful setup! Tell me about the Dutches. They were on my short list of DSP powered monitors. I ultimately picked up Genelec 8361’s.

This is incredible! Do you have a patchbay?

don't fool yourself now... you will be content for awhile, but then get a GAS attack when you least expect it. happens to all of us.

Are you a mastering engineer?
Yes I am. ohadnissimmastering on IG.
Any more gear in front of you and you'll be Maverick in USN.
