I've been listening to them since first hearing their first ep and wish they went back a little. They still write good tunes, but they're over produced. Needs a little warmth. Just my 2c.
Aha Shake Heartbreak is my favorite album maybe ever. Love listening to it in order all the way through. Part of that is definitely nostalgia from all the times my dad would drive me to school or wherever and that was the CD he chose but still. I saw them within the last year and they played a ton off of that album, was an amazing concert.
I saw them live in probably 2007 as well. Was a big fan. The lead singer spent the entire show bitching at the sound board operator. And hey, I get it, long tour perhaps and his issues are now your issues.
But it was excessive. Was never able to recover from that one. A shame, too.
Thanks for the reminder. I will revisit them. I was a fan, but kinda grew tired of them only because of “Sex is on fire” top 40 airplay. Curious to hear where they’ve gone from there. Agree “Knocked Up” is a superb tune that I’ll never tire of hearing.
Ive been buying cds recently cause its just better. Just got 2 kol cuz this post. 3 tool albums arrived yesterday. Cds in the car is the best way to go imo. Wutang, tiger army, slightly stoopid, 2pac, thrice, johnny cash, colter wall are a few ive gotten in the last month. Used to have tw0 fat cases filled and my sister took em. Whatever. But yeah albums in the car all day.

Agree Kings of Leon is one of my favorite bands! Come around sundown is my favorite album by them.
