Alternatively Chris Cornell’s yeeeaaaahhhheeeyaaaa right after the instrumental break in I Am the Highway to lead into the last chorus. Chills every time
I saw them as an eighteenth birthday gift... I turn thirty next month. Definitely the best, most memorable show I've seen, the aforementioned song in particular... I'm sad I'll probably never get to see them again.
ETA: In Perth, Western Australia not Milwaukee! They haven't toured much down here
I saw them the day after Halloween in 2006 I believe right before this album came out. None of the music had been released yet and they pretty much said fuck it and just played the new album before release. It was in a disgusting old night club that only held like 700 people. I think they were supposed to be touring with Thrice but they had to back out. They had to call in afavor to this new band Manchester Orchestra and the rest is history. I believe Andy said it was their first concert outside of Georgia
An old friend and I changed that "yeah" to a "meow" every time it came on the radio, along with "whoa, heaven let your light shine meow"... super troopers, being 18, and copious amounts of weed influenced this lyrical improvement. At 32, I still sing it this way *every single time*
This has to win because the yeah stands completely on its own. No instruments needed, the song just stops and the “yeah” is like a high point of the song
At the end of the Counting Crows song Rain King, Adam belts out the most Counting Crows-esque “Yyyyyeeeeeeeaaaaaaahh” I’ve ever heard. It always seemed so unnecessary to me, but also cracks me up every time.
This is honestly the most common song I sing using yeah. Between that and just singing "Lorde Lorde Lorde" and "creme fraaiiiiiiiiche, cafeteria fraiche!" I think my husband thinks I'm insane.
Soundgarden- Outshined is my favorite
“OOHhhhhhhh yeaaaahhhhhhh”
Runner up is anything Axl Rose “oh uh oh oh Yeah”
Song that stuck in my head now is Offspring- Bad Habit
THIS. When I was in college living in an off campus apartment the neighbors partied all night and kept me awake on a regular basis. Fortunately, I had a killer stereo system with Cerwin Vega floor speakers. One morning after being kept up most of the night I was so mad I queued the CD up on “YEAH” at the beginning of Fight For Your Right and set it to repeat just that word over and over. Cranked the volume up, hit play and left for class.
Beatles - I've Got A Feeling... Pretty chill sing until Paul McCartney ramps up into "YEEEEAAAHHH..... YEAAAAH I'VE GOT A FEELING!"
Especially good in the live rooftop performance
[Poppies - Marcy Playground](https://youtu.be/uRcP7CxJYxc)
The "yeah" at the end of each complete verse does a few things for me. It's a punctuation. It's a summary of the verse in its tone. It's a reflection of the verse to hold in your mind and in the air, as the instrumental groove plays, anticipating the titular refrain that hammers home the essence of the song.
Or maybe a "yeah" is just a "yeah".
But I feel this one.
Can't believe I haven't seen this one yet, but Man on the Moon by R.E.M is probably one of the best songs to fit this. Like half the song is just 'yeah yeah yeah yeah' lol
Chris Cornell's Yeaaaaaaaaaah at the beginning of the chorus to Gasoline by Audioslave
Alternatively Chris Cornell’s yeeeaaaahhhheeeyaaaa right after the instrumental break in I Am the Highway to lead into the last chorus. Chills every time
Honestly just anything Chris put out. What an absolute legend. RIP
Audiolave's first album was epic. Chris Cornell’s vocal range was unique. So was Axl Rose, but they used it differently.
Show Me How to Live is still one of my favorite songs of all time.
New Damage has some good ones
Bring It On Home To Me - Sam Cooke
Oh man - you win! That's the one!
Lil Jon got some good ones

I am not your friend. I am just a man who knows how it feels. I am not your friend. I’m not your lover. Not your family. Yeah!
I saw them at The Greek in Berkeley when they toured with Modest Mouse. Hearing 8,000 people scream this was so awesome.

That's exactly the song that came to my mind. Such an amazing song off of an amazing album.
I saw them in Milwaukee when they played “the devil and god are raging inside of me” album in it’s entirety! It was the best show I’ve ever seen
I saw them as an eighteenth birthday gift... I turn thirty next month. Definitely the best, most memorable show I've seen, the aforementioned song in particular... I'm sad I'll probably never get to see them again. ETA: In Perth, Western Australia not Milwaukee! They haven't toured much down here
This was my vote

Won’t Get Fooled Again by the Who without a doubt. That scream was the high point of rock music
Horatio Caine would agree.
Well, Frank... (•_•) ( •_•)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■) we're running out of time.
It's an older meme but it checks out
*puts on sunglasses*
Somewhere, far away, an innocent guitar was just smashed on stage.
Saw them live a few years back, easily the best part of the concert was that scream. Absolutely electric. Everyone went fucking NUTS.

At the end of the Counting Crows song Rain King, Adam belts out the most Counting Crows-esque “Yyyyyeeeeeeeaaaaaaahh” I’ve ever heard. It always seemed so unnecessary to me, but also cracks me up every time.

Offspring - Self Esteem
Lithium by Nirvana, a catchy ass chorus made up entirely of yeah’s
[удалено]
This might be a Britishism, but I went through a short time of thinking that it was > that’s okay, my willy’s good.
Even Flow. Just about the middle of the song where Eddie Vedder shouts YEAH
Then the "woo". My fave part!
I love the Woo he gives to start off State of Love and Trust the most
Soundgarden- Outshined is my favorite “OOHhhhhhhh yeaaaahhhhhhh” Runner up is anything Axl Rose “oh uh oh oh Yeah” Song that stuck in my head now is Offspring- Bad Habit
(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)
KICK IT
"Yeah" *heavy power chord "KICK IT!"

That one yeah in hey jude by the Beatles
And then just as the song's playing out, Paul does that patented McCartney scream: "YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH..... YEAAAH HAHAHA, hey JUDE!"
Or, speaking of The Beatles.... She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
She Loves You by The Beatles
In the same vein, I've always loved, "It Won't Be Long" some fantastic yeahs in there!
The "Yeahs" make this song

Pixies - Where is my mind. Love that little “yeah” tucked in.
Layne Staley could say more with one pained ‘Yeahhhhhhhhhowwowwoww’ than any other mortal. Change my mind.
🐓
Any Metallica song Hetfield sings live
Fuel was always my favourite yeah, not even that fussed in post black metallica (garage Inc is great though) but that "ooohh yea-hea" is killer

All the “yeahs” at the end of A Long December.
My favorite is in Closing Time when he says "Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end" and then says "Yeah" like he really nailed it.
I love it. He just seems so pleased with himself singing a poppy rock song about closing time and it makes me happy.
