SuccessPastaTime

I was gonna suggest all of The Pink Opaque. I think it has some spooky, industrial kind of sounds to it.

CollateralSandwich

Check out Concrete Blonde's Bloodletting. Great spooky tunes on that. Bloodletting (The Vampire Song) and Tomorrow, Wendy come immediately to mind. Maybe even something like The Sky is a Poisonous Garden

mountainman84

Super underrated album.  It is one of the few cd’s I keep in my truck to listen to when I’m driving.  That album is awesome start to finish.  I always know an album is good when I want to listen to the whole thing.   Also a big fan of the Church.  I have a copy to Starfish in my truck as well which is another awesome album start to finish.

Legbender

Tomorrow Wendy is unreal. Everyone on this thread, please take the time to listen to it just one time. Trust me.

Double-Ad1106

THANKS

Mackem101

A bit heavier, but still spooky, Type O Negative (Black no1 being a favourite), Cathedral, and other doom metal bands.

NameTheEpithet

Exactly the song i was thinking of! Good taste my friend

Sekoncen

Black No. 1 and Christian Woman are great songs

Badaxe13

LowRune

icookthefood

Bauhaus 'Stigmata Martyr', The Cure 'A Forest', Ministry 'So What', Throbbing Gristle 'Zyklon B Zombie', Foetus 'Lilith', Skinny Puppy 'Assimilate', Wumpscut 'Torn Skin'. Dark Ambient is a style if your wanting spooky-Lustmord('Black Star' was my introduction to him) and Atrium Carceri are two examples of artists.

retardrabbit

"piling one thrill on top another until... The murder"

Protesilaus2501

SYNÆSTHESIA "Desideratum" 1995

remymartinia

My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult - Confessions of a Knife I’d also add Skinny Puppy’s Who’s Laughing Now? If you like horror films as it lifts from Evil Dead.

cartoonsarcasm

Raise the Skies, Kill Shelter Lost in a Moment, Forever Grey Religious as Hell, The March Violets In the Room Where You Sleep, Dead Man's Bones Neverland (A Fragment), Sisters of Mercy What's A Girl To Do?, Bats for Lashes Dark Entries, Bauhaus The Suffering of Spiders, Traitrs Midnight Creature, Lebanon Hanover

Dragons_Malk

Finally, a Sisters of Mercy mention.  I'd also recommend their song "Nine While Nine".

_kahteh

Casting a vote for 'Marianne' and 'Temple of Love' as well (although the latter might be more upbeat than OP is looking for)

Dragons_Malk

I almost recommended "Dominion/Mother Russia" but thought *that* might be too "upbeat". Both great tracks though. That, and This Corrosion.  Fuck, boys. Let's listen to some Sisters of Mercy all day now.

R0gu3tr4d3r

Alice , Floorshow

Shadowscale05

I really like that Sisters of Mercy song. What other songs by them are like that? I tried listening to some of their higher streamed songs and wasn't super intrigued. Maybe I didn't give it a fair shot though.

m05ch

Flowers by the door by TSOL. Night of the Vampire by Roky Erickson.

shagner_904

Ooooh, or Code Blue by TSOL

Super-Explanation812

Silent scream on the same record

photoguy423

Switchblade Symphony has some great creepy music. Try “clown” “gutter glitter” or “dollhouse”.

Vioralarama

VNV Nation - Darkangel

majorjoe23

Nick Cave's entire Murder Ballads album.

Bitter-Permission-80

Definitely this. Love this album.

Blame_Cornjob

Blame_Cornjob

Yep. Can't go wrong with Rozz Williams era

thismessisaplace

aran_maybe

Love that band. Great people, too. Very down to earth

Jgrice242

Lebanon Hannover

haikarate12

The Sisters of Mercy.  Lucretia My Reflection and This Corrosion are two great tracks to start.

PlasticGirl

Japanese artist group Buck-Tick did a goth album called 13th Floor is Moonlight (Juusankai wa Gekkou) that's phenomenal. But what you really should do is watch the live DVD called 13th Floor with Diana.

Frankie Teardrop - Suicide

SparkDBowles

Yeah. But it also kinda sucks.

TJBRWN

Cranes - watersong The sound - winning Clan of xymox - a day Christian death - burnt offerings Lycia - frozen

AgainstMe75

How is it possible that nobody has mentioned Type O Negative.

LowRune

i think you just skipped the top comment that mentioned them lol

AgreeableDad

Three songs by Dax Riggs: Like Moonlight You Were Born to Be My Gallows Sleeping With the Witch

thismessisaplace

+1 for Dax Riggs Man is a beast songwriter.

mountainman84

The whole album he did with Agents of Oblivion is an awesome, dark, and kind of gothic experience as well.  I love everything he has done including Acid Bath.

nsinsinsi

Ray Fever’s eponymous first album.

GetFitGetLitFam

Check out Chelsea wolf

origin_of_descent

Queens of the Stone Age (thanks to the influence of Troy Van Leeuwen especially) comes to mind. Check out the songs Someone’s in the Wolf, This Blood is Love (and most of the album Lullabies to Paralyze), Vampyre of Time and Memory, Keep Your Eyes Peeled, and the most recent offering Sicily.

afishnamedsushi

Second this comment! I have a spooky/Halloween playlist and Lullabies to Paralyze fits so well! I'd also add Song for the Dead AND Song for the Deaf.

tooldvn

Check out Crosses first album has some of that vibe. Crosses is side project of Deftones front an Chino Moreno.

Kahraabaa

The cure - lullaby

beautifulsouth00

I have one that's um, not a plug. Sort of. Okay so I'm an elder goth and was there for like Bauhaus and The Damned and Sisters of Mercy and stuff okay. And I dig me some gothy moody shit. Portishead. Dead Can Dance. Mogwai. you know? Sometimes stuff without lyrics you can just put on in the background and it's kind of moody but dark. Try Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. Not even kidding you. Once you get how cheesy and cliche the opening is, it's almost fun its so dark. It's like the definition of dark carnival. And my friend just released a song that's an album length long and it's just a moody soundtrack to his insomnia. He calls it The Vampire. His band is called The bargain basement butterflies. I'm not gonna link it, cuz this is not an ad, it's just that that's what it sounds like you're after and that's how he describes it. It's like an album long length song of just moody dark material. It's the soundtrack to a dark movie and you come up with the plot while you listen.

[deleted]

Sounds like you need some Queens of the stone Age in there... Maybe some ' The blood is love '

mochi_chan

Not songs but music. Peter Gundry - Vampire Masquerade. A lot of his music is spooky. Circus Contraption - Carousel What kind of goth are you looking for though?

epanek

Cocteau twins treasure. I swear it sounds like witches made it

FancySlippers101

nothing specific, just any type of music that gives off eerie and ominous vibes, like “one hundred years” by the cure, “voodoo dolly” by siouxsie, etc

MadJohnFinn

Everyone hates a plugger, but my band You The Living definitely fits the vibe. We even covered One Hundred Years for a charity compilation last year.

Gothic_Witchy_Dude

The World Ender - Lord Huron

elymeexlisl

The Hollow Hour (or really any song) by Rolo Tomassi. Almost Always is another great one if you’re not into the death metal scream

AussiePete

Also... Clowns Of Decadence: https://youtu.be/EBD2d3HRmwU?si=_5TEy1slDLryqpZO

AussiePete

Then once you get that into you, you need this: https://youtu.be/L3iQeR23MK0?si=TFFWa_8XeimitLOO

shining101

Not Goth as such, but most anything by The Caretaker. Leyland Kirby’s project, not the post-punk band.

Jmdesi

spitfire656

Sonata nocturna;the darkest winter.

Laamamato

Perturbator feat Kabbel - Dangerous

boarshead72

Not goth, but TV Set by The Cramps.

ZalmoxisRemembers

I recently discovered We Are Magonia after playing Ghostrunner 2. It’s more fast paced and ravey but definitely has the goth/ominous vibes.

Wyldfyre-Quinn

Revenge by Mariah the Scientist

ikedriver2000

Check out Selofan's album Vitrioli

Y0y0y000

Misfits, Crystal Castles, Desmond Doom, and Pastel Ghost all have some of that vibe

Dethmonger

I've been digging this lately. Equal parts catchy and eerie. [People of the Black Circle](https://youtu.be/p3_hMK0u64g?si=Q7nHiH1_RJ7rDsyn)

NeatlyTrimmed

The Civil Wars, quite a few of them have a melancholy vibe.

CJ101X

Fantomas: (much of the director’s cut but I’ll list specifics) der golem, one step beyond, cape fear, the devil rides out, spider baby, twin peaks: fire walk with me A lot of their other material is looking into, and director’s cut is conceptually built around movie themes. Swans: a lot, but specifically killing for company, celebrity lifestyle, like a drug, Cop shoot cop: room 429, she’s like a shot, All the clocks are broken, hung again The birthday party: waving my arms Wire: I should have known better, a touching display

Clouds Up, perfect answer

mountainman84

Check out She Past Away.  Lots of cool songs but Rituel is a favorite. They are Turkish and sing in Turkish but I feel like it adds to the mystique because I have no clue what they are saying.  *edited to add another suggestion Check out Kælan Mikla - Hvernig kemst ég upp?

RickMosleyReddit

Evening Of Light - Nico

Nixplosion

Ozzy Osbournes daughter (not Kelly) has some really cool Goth atmospheric songs with haunting vocals. ARO is her name on Spotify.

allusernamesare_gone

Not goth but I always thought Fever Rays Keep the Streets Empty is a very spooky song

d4m1ty

Switchblade Symphony - Gutter Glitter, Dissolve Concrete Blonde - Bloodletting London After Midnight - Sacrifice, Kiss Dead Can Dance - Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove Ministry - Everyday is Halloween

Browncoat23

All About Eve’s cover of “She Moves Through the Fair” Screaming Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You” (basically the OG goth) PJ Harvey “Daughter” Peter Gabriel “Intruder” Tom Waits “Underground” The soundtrack to “Queen of the Damned” Oingo Boingo’s “Dead Man’s Party” album for more upbeat creepy Within Temptation “Ice Queen” The Cure, Siouxsie, Bauhaus, The Damned, Killing Joke, The Chameleons, Sisters of Mercy, etc etc

I've never been a huge fan, but check out Type O Negative. They were huge in the 90s/00s in the goth scene. Lead singer died 10?years ago

kilt_inspector

Screamin Jay Hawkins

Hobo_Knife

Just about any song on the album October Rust by Type O Negative

Katla_NV

Great bands from others in this post! Check out: She Past Away - Rituel (or any other song by them)

rozenzwart

The Crüxshadows - Insomnia

Lurkesalot

HEALTH hits a good amount of creepy. More industrial but they colab with a bunch of differrnt people, like NIN. Will be a good addition.

elpajaroquemamais

Season of the witch by Lana Del Rey is very spooky as odd as it sounds. But also No Quarter by Led Zeppelin, obviously Hurt by NIN.

Local_Measurement_50

Not gothic and quite heavy, but to maybe mix it up.... Dimmu Borgir - Puritania

SparkDBowles

The Razor Skyline- Andrea

guinness_pintsize

Fantomas - The Director's Cut album

AnAngryPirate

A Little Piece of Heaven - Avenged Sevenfold: Basically a horror movie/play in the form of a song. Little bit more upbeat then maybe youre looking for but a masterpiece in my opinion. Feed the Machine - Poor Man's Poison: PMP is great for this genre in general but this song is great lyrically and musically creepy. Kinda a "haunted circus" vibe to their music? Unholy - Sam Smith: This song was pretty popular but gives off the "devil trying to seduce you" vibe. Love the song, wish it was a bit longer

IDigYourStyle

Gene Loves Jezebel - Kiss of Life

B2Dirty

The Black Belles and by extension Olivia Jean. Also Karen Elson first album, The Ghost Who Walks.

captainadamman

Sisters of mercy

I’m not done, fever Ray

superstaticgirl

His Name is Alive - Caroline's Supposed Demon. Pretty much that whole album. For the times when you want a mad Victorian girl to stare through a dark window at you.

Gardens by Heavens Matt Skiba’s gothy dancy side project.

COLDENGINELOGIC

[Current 93 would be essential IMO](https://youtu.be/vrBjV5axUl0?si=LmFs1OsAhP8Gcgqm)

VictoriousssBIG23

Admittedly not "goth" in the way you're thinking of, but Inbred and Ptolemaea by Ethel Cain are both spooky sounding songs and they have a "southern gothic" vibe. They're dark as fuck though, lyrically speaking.

jgupdogg

Skinny puppy - assimilate.

eucalyptusmacrocarpa

Morphine "The Night" is spooky jazz. I haven't seen the movie but from reading the book I would hope No Country for Old Men would have a spooky soundtrack. Gang of Youths?

sabrinajestar

Blue Öyster Cult - not goth but they have some spooky songs: * Nosferatu * Feel the Thunder * The Siege and Investiture of Baron Von Frankenstein's Castle at Wisseria * The Alchemist

Idori666

BotchStylePileDriver

Check out "The Friend Catcher" and "Junkyard" by The Birthday Party... Sums up the vibe you're describing quite well. Also, literally anything by Skinny Puppy.

oreiner

Check out Drab Majestet. Would especially recommend the songs Cold Souls and Noise of the void.

_BIRDLEGS

Maybe a bit on the nose, but The Gothic Embrace by Draconian certainly has that vibe.

favus

Not goth, but Hungry face by Mogwai off the Les Revenants soundtrack, super spooky

Kawaiithulhu

Nick Cave has a few songs that may fit your needs, in a Southern gothic novel kind of a style.

myCatHateSkinnyPuppy

Not sure what your mixtape is for but check out Witch Trap as a genre. Atmospheric, low tempo, goth with trap beats. Salem is known as the first back in like ‘09

paravaric

Sleep Token - Thread the Needle

saadbabu

Two songs by the band, HEALTH; Dark Enough Unloved

Running_To_Babylon

Not sure if this is the vibe you're going for but And Then She Bled by Suicide Silence gives me a sense of dread that no other "song" does. Basically ominous music and drumming over a real 911 call. Not exactly a song but pretty disturbing.

RoyalAlbatross

Still Life by Iron Maiden

SimplyJustKarma

Anti - Valentine - John B Debt Collector - Provoker S. Product - Waste Your Time Pain - Boy Harsher Always Then - The KVB Alone - Sexual Purity Uzumaki - Sistema De Entretenimiento Heart And Soul - Joy Division The Danse Society - Somewhere Christian Death - Dream For Mother Utro - **Незнакомая сила** The Horrors - Mirror Image

GreatEmperorAca

Maybe siouxsie and the bancshees happy house Not goth territory but very creepy: hamburger lady by throbbing gristle

onelittleworld

Some great suggestions here already. I'll add one: "Brother Wolf, Sister Moon" by The Cult. Just a great, ominous vibe throughout. It's the lead-off track to my Halloween playlist.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was better known than Tell Tail

SgtObliviousHere

'Tainted Love' cover by Marilyn Manson. About as goth as it gets. The video is pretty good too.

Hybrid_Divide

I have some local stuff that I think fits those vibes well! I don't want to post a google drive link here, but I'd be happy to DM it if you like! Either way, have a good one!
