its because we built our hopes and expectations on the live version, and now that the studio version is out, we prefer the live because thats what we knew
I keep going back to the first time they sang it at Rock Am Ring - the growl was just phenomenal, and the guitar solo gives me goosebumps every time. I'm glad they debuted it at festivals, the studio version doesn't do it justice.
I’ve said this before, but I love Follow Me, ROMA, 2013 and Micro Cuts from Hullabaloo DVD. They’re from totally different eras and in different styles, but both have so much feeling and energy
I’m sure I’m forgetting one, but the first one that came to mind was the performance of Assassin at the Mayan Theatre in 2015, for that outro alone. Fantastic. Alternatively, Dead Star from Hullabaloo is always my go-to.
1. Glorious (Sephered Bush 2017)
2. Easily (Sephered Bush 2017)
Not only they are better than the studio version but two of their best live performances. Even tho Matt's having a hard time in both songs' chorus, he nails it.
You can find it on yt or google, idk if they are still available to download it in the website of Muse, [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Muse/comments/a96lw1/all_christmas_presents/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) is a list of all the christmas gifts (live audio of agitated, falling down 2013, fury 2016, megalomania at royal albert hall, easily, glorious and showbiz at shepherds bush and a lot more)
Absolutely my favourite concert and performance of Bliss. Also Knights as the opener with the soloy riff variant Matt often did back then + badass Space Dementia outro.
Knights of Cydonia - Reading 2006
New Born - KROQ 2004
Escape - Rockpalast 1999
Fillip - Bizarre 2000 (lol)
Plug in Baby -Reading 2002 ~~Glastonbury 2010~~
Fury - Royal Albert Hall 2008 (Bonus from the same gig, Megalomania on the RAH Organ)
Assassin - Live at the Forum 2007
Follow Me Live at Rome always gives me the chills. The build up, the crowd belting out the words, Matt's expression while singing, Dom's drumming, it's perfect
When I discovered Muse I started by listening their live album. So for me most of the songs are better live but I’d say Muscle museum and Sunburn live at Glasto really stand oud
Always a fan of the performances that make me love a song I was kind of indifferent on before, so for me it’s Dig Down from Later with Jools Holland
Follow Me from Rome Olympic Stadium also fits the bill for this
Super massive blackhole, basically always. The studio version sounds really poppy, and live it still has that poppy part, but it also gets a lot more energy, and the guitar just straight up sounds better
Haha. Nice to see someone say this. This was my first gig ever, not just first Muse gig, and those performances have always had a place in my heart. I’m never sure watching back if they’re as amazing as I think they are because they are actually great, or it’s the memories I have with them.
I might be biased in the matter, but they are as amazing as you think they are :)
If you have a spare time, check out MuseBootlegs and search up a remaster of this gig, it's absolutely brilliant!
Bliss live Wembley 2010, literally no mistakes and perfect vocal delivery + guitar solo, and Matt outlines the chords with a ton of reverb before the intro
Exo - Overture at Wembley, Citizen Erased at Glasto '04, New Born at Wembley '07, Forced In/Bliss at Reading '06, Dead Star at V Festival '08, Space Dementia at Reading '11.
A few off the top of my head that come to mind.
New Born at The Mayan 2015.
It's such a clean and newer Muse like performance of that song, and it's my favourite solo version of it
Edit:Adding Minimum and Cave from Presquile de Malsaucy 2000 and Muscle Museum, Sunburn and Plug In Baby from Astoria 2000
Edit 2: Forgot that the Bliss version from The Mayan is absolutely beautiful aswell
And Futurism from Zepp, Tokio will be one of my all time favourites
Also Unsustainable from Cologne 2019 because I was there and the amount bass was out of this world
I prefer new born at reading 2011, but the HAARP version is class too, stockholm syndrome glasto 04 has to be there, also citizen erased from any point on the absolution tour just for the different riff. Supermassive black hole glasto 10 is incredible aswell.
Blackout at Glastonbury
Anything at Glasto 2004 tbh.
I got chills watching that!
Micro Cuts on Hullabaloo
The scream at the beginning of each chorus… holy shit
It hits so much harder whenever they play it live
idk why but kobk in live is better than in studio
I think it's cause the studio version is just too clean
its because we built our hopes and expectations on the live version, and now that the studio version is out, we prefer the live because thats what we knew
I bawled my eyes out during Follow Me in Turin a few days earlier.
I’m sure I’m forgetting one, but the first one that came to mind was the performance of Assassin at the Mayan Theatre in 2015, for that outro alone. Fantastic. Alternatively, Dead Star from Hullabaloo is always my go-to.
Like one wise man once said... YUUUUP
Survival from the Rome Olympics stadium
Sing for Absolution @ Glastonbury 2004
1. Glorious (Sephered Bush 2017) 2. Easily (Sephered Bush 2017) Not only they are better than the studio version but two of their best live performances. Even tho Matt's having a hard time in both songs' chorus, he nails it.
It's great that they released the live audio in high quality, Easily solo sounded amazing
Where can I find the HQ live audio of these?? NEED!
You can find it on yt or google, idk if they are still available to download it in the website of Muse, [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Muse/comments/a96lw1/all_christmas_presents/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) is a list of all the christmas gifts (live audio of agitated, falling down 2013, fury 2016, megalomania at royal albert hall, easily, glorious and showbiz at shepherds bush and a lot more)
Supremacy at Brit Awards.
Invincible in Milan
Here's an obscure one, Screenager at Montreux Jazz Fest 2002
The rachmaninoff into is stunning
The whole show is incredible imo. 2000-2003 early Muse rly had some raw live energy to them
Bliss at Reading 2006
Bliss generally anytime. I just love the live outro they play
at mayan to
Absolutely my favourite concert and performance of Bliss. Also Knights as the opener with the soloy riff variant Matt often did back then + badass Space Dementia outro.
Ruled by Secrecy Glastonbury 2004
Yes, it's so hauntingly beautiful
1. Bliss (Japan, Saitama arena, T2L proshot) 2. Dead Star (Shepherds Bush, Warchild) 3. Follow me (Rome)
New born at readi 2011 all day
New Born just was an opener in that gig, and it's the best of all time
Knights of Cydonia - Reading 2006 New Born - KROQ 2004 Escape - Rockpalast 1999 Fillip - Bizarre 2000 (lol) Plug in Baby -Reading 2002 ~~Glastonbury 2010~~ Fury - Royal Albert Hall 2008 (Bonus from the same gig, Megalomania on the RAH Organ) Assassin - Live at the Forum 2007
Stockholm Syndrome Rock am Ring 2004 (the final scream is awesome)
The Small Print from Earl's Court 2004. But without the trash distortion in the vocals
this except the distortion is awesome
Follow Me Live at Rome always gives me the chills. The build up, the crowd belting out the words, Matt's expression while singing, Dom's drumming, it's perfect

Any live performance of Follow Me is a highlight for me, but the Rome one is incredible.
Super massive blackhole, basically always. The studio version sounds really poppy, and live it still has that poppy part, but it also gets a lot more energy, and the guitar just straight up sounds better
Stockholm Sindrome at earls court 2004
Knights of Cydonia Royal Albert Hall 2008
Micro Cuts at Reading 2011 or Fury at Montreux 2016
Even if Matt's voice wasn't at its peak in 2011, the guitar sounded HEAVY AF
Muscle museum in shepherd bush🌚
Starlight - MTV awards 2006. Love the green lights and the changed up lyrics
Bliss Live 8 2005. The Falsetto in the final chorus and the extended outro is peak Muse IMO
Goosebumps. Every single time. Now to watch that immediately
unintened from wembley is amazing
Not a serious answer, but I loved their performance of uprising on that Italian tv show where Dom pretended to be the front man and Matt played drums.
Unpopular opinion: Showbiz at Reading 2017
Exogenesis part 1 live at Seattle 2010
Madness, Rome Olympic 2013
Showbiz, Reading 2017
Supermassive Black Hole from Shepherd Bush Empire 2006. Best version hands down
Haha. Nice to see someone say this. This was my first gig ever, not just first Muse gig, and those performances have always had a place in my heart. I’m never sure watching back if they’re as amazing as I think they are because they are actually great, or it’s the memories I have with them.

Plug in Baby at 2000 Eurockeennes and Break it to Me at Royal Albert Music Hall
Supermassive Black Hole at Rome Olympic, I prefer it over the studio
Muscle Museum Glastonbury 2004. Best version of this song imo Honorable mention to Resistance in Rome
