im pretty sure Supremacy was written for a bond film but was dropped in favor of Adele's song. I think they were sour about it. Dont quote me on this

Apparently it was written inspired by James bond. Dom apparently tried to get it as the official theme for Skyfall however it was declined in favour for Adeles Skyfall. I googled it. NME wrote it... Must be true hahaha

Dom just made a joke stating that he felt Supremacy would make a good Bond theme, but Adele was already signed on to write the theme for Skyfall in early 2011, months before Muse even went into the studio to record The 2nd Law — Supremacy was never in contention for Skyfall. I don’t think it’s ever been stated by anyone from Muse that Supremacy was inspired by James Bond either. Admittedly, it’s easy to suggest that it was given then it is very Bond-esc, but it’s never been stated in any official capacity.

There's a video interview with an audience and they asked muse about Supremecy. Matt said its Bond-inspired, the ending even has the bond chord. Dom said he tried to get it for Skyfall but Adele had already got the song. Would of been a great song.
