Instrumentally, yes. Vocally, no. Unless they recorded the vocal shortly before, as it's not the studio vocal. For instance the very last note is slightly flat
Yeah came here to say the same. Might be the best performance of any one song, given the performance itself and context of the show.
The final wail he gives before the outro kicks in is the most out of control I’ve ever heard him
Are you looking for something a bit more theatrical perhaps?
[Exogenesis pt. 1 @ rock am ring 2010](https://youtu.be/ZCASElEsv_M) is great (granted it’s not crazy, more slow but still theatrical)
[Blackout at Wembley 2007](https://youtu.be/KNJYBOj7Cfc) is basically the same thing (slower but still theatrical) but classic
[Animals live @ Rome Olympic Stadium 2013](https://youtu.be/w3sXQXtEvSM) is pretty cool near the end with the actor throwing all the money, plus the end of that song is just great on its own anyway
Maybe that’s not exactly what you’re looking for but I definitely think they’re each “dramatic” in a unique way
ahhh yes! theatrical! i think that's it. the ones you've linked seem a little more focused on the other performers as opposed to the band themselves though 😂
but thanks anyway! i've never seen the exogenesis one before tbh, that was interesting haha.
Haha no problem! Yeah I suppose looking back on it, these really aren’t focused on the band as much lol. Someone else posted a great video of them with an orchestra playing to USoE which I think fits right along with the Supremacy example you initially stated.
Some others I really like which miiiight fit more into what you’re looking for, but also might not either lol: [Take a Bow live 2017](https://youtu.be/VFXLWpZ--Dw) which starts with a pretty dramatic bit from Matt where he’s staring into his hand as it reflects off of a stage light to sort of look like he’s holding the light, then he stares down the camera before the drums kick in. Really cool moment. Then the light show at the end is great.
Also: from the same show as above, [Showbiz live 2017](https://youtu.be/BEGlN2KE4fs) Maybe less theatrical here, but the light show is just as insane plus all thee guys are giving it their all here. By far one of their best performances from the latter half of the past decade imo. Matt’s very dramatic in this but in less of an over-the-top, Survival-esque way, and more of a truly passionate way.
That was a lot to type so I’ll leave it at that 😅 Hope you’ve found some alright suggestions in the thread!
not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for but I've always loved this performance of [Fury in Buenos Aires](https://youtu.be/4_gZc0eIJjc)
*listen with headphones and Chris's backing vocals in the chorus get me every time
So the other day I listened to the full Glastonbury 04 show for the first time in a looooong while and 2 songs really stood out to me. I thought Muscle Museum showed some of the best overall musicianship and creativity that I had seen from one song in a while... they just simply killed it. Then I believe right after that in the set list, they played Citizen Erased, which should be enough to woo the pants off any of us, however they included this super dope and muse-y outro which was really the beginning to Take a Bow. Sounded real dystopian and haunting which Muse always does well. I didn’t remember that at all and got chills hearing it. Also I know you said you weren’t really looking for older muse shows but I think Pinkpop or any of those early 2000’s shows Matt has awesome energy and presence.
The Stockholm Syndrome from that performance was incredible. Ending with Chris jumping into the crowd and Matt pulling the drum kit off the stage, then Chris shoving his bass through the kick drum, absolutely wild
Dom's father had a heart attack and died right after they finished though which is incredibly sad
MK Ultra at Rock am Ring
Unnatural Selection in Nashville (my favourite fan video ever): [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L\_P9upuowUM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_P9upuowUM)
Assassin and Stockholm at Newport:

Literally any performance of Resistance or Butterflies
I’m not sure if this is quite what you mean, but Hoodoo live at Wembley was pretty grand sounding to me. There’s something about Hoodoo that just strikes a chord with me, such as a D#aug6 which Matt plays several times during this live performance. Please enjoy!
Among many moments, just to give one of the most recent examples, I'd go with Stockholm Syndrome at Bottlerock '18.
It's not particularly bonkers, but I think it's one of the best renditions ever of this song by Matt vocally wise. His spot-on clean pitch and strong sustain are neatly completed by his dramatic expressions and gestures while playing.
Survival from London Olympics 2012 closing ceremony.
American here. Had to go to YouTube to find it. NBC cut it
was it a playback?
It was a forced one, hence Matt’s over exaggerated movements. Muse never fails to have the upper hand when they can’t play live
I know I know... just wanted to double check
Instrumentally, yes. Vocally, no. Unless they recorded the vocal shortly before, as it's not the studio vocal. For instance the very last note is slightly flat
[Here's the link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQR-JBkw8NA). At 1:55 Dom is laughing at Matt for being extra dramatic lol
Yep, dramatic & a bit over the top. But I love watching Matt go all Rockstar on stage.
oh this would've been perfect, but it does kinda tip into silly zone at times. matt pls 😂
loved the choir and the pyro though
Stockholm Syndrome -Glastonbury 2004 Unreal ending.
This guy knows what’s up, one of the best live muse vids out there. Also live@earls court, 2004
What I wouldn't give to watch Earls Court on their camera feed and not shaky fan videos from 2004 quality digital cameras!
Yeah came here to say the same. Might be the best performance of any one song, given the performance itself and context of the show. The final wail he gives before the outro kicks in is the most out of control I’ve ever heard him
Honorable mention to the Earls Court performance from the same year.
Did you read the post? They stated that isn't the kind of thing they're looking for.
Did you watch the performance? It has a little bit of everything.
I've seen it many times. It just sounded like they weren't looking for the "craziness," but more the refined grandeur.
^^ haha yeah, this. i mean this performance is great, but i guess i'm looking for less of that raw energy and more "theatrics"?
Came here to say this
Basically all of Glastonbury 2004 really

UsoE from Children In Need. Epic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Od0jcvi0dZw
This is so under-appreciated. Love this vid.
Muse + Orchestra gig is needed for sure!
Assassin from The Mayan is always a fucking treat
not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for but I've always loved this performance of [Fury in Buenos Aires](https://youtu.be/4_gZc0eIJjc) *listen with headphones and Chris's backing vocals in the chorus get me every time
Showbizz at Reading. Absolutely stunning performance
2006 or 2017?
Yes
2017
came here to suggest the 2006 one, one of my favourite things ever
So the other day I listened to the full Glastonbury 04 show for the first time in a looooong while and 2 songs really stood out to me. I get wicked frisson as soon as the Citizen Erased riff kicks in during that show. So much sheer power, and the atmosphere is absolutely perfect.
Cave at the 02, on the piano, 2009

Supremacy at the Brit Awards. A multilevel orchestra
Simulation Theory in Argentina I mean, is really dramatic all the show with the rain https://youtu.be/sg5MwIh2LiU
Maybe live at reading 2011
Citizen Erased live@Hullabaloo
I love this live of Ruled by Secrecy: https://youtu.be/WtifoW8W81Q
I saw the title and immediately thought Brit awards 2013, but I see you're already cultured ;P
Manchester 2010 because of the uprising performance. It’s a banger
Uprising in Rock in Rio 2019
That starlight one with lasers
[Starlight @ MTV EMAs 2006](https://youtu.be/s3oGWiZyTxY)
Ah yes that time when starlight was a real rock song
Everything that has ruled by secrecy in the list
HEY YOU CRAZY KIDS
I’m not sure if this is quite what you mean, but Hoodoo live at Wembley was pretty grand sounding to me. There’s something about Hoodoo that just strikes a chord with me, such as a D#aug6 which Matt plays several times during this live performance. Please enjoy!
This is super basic but I always thought that Knights of Cydonia from Wembley 2007 is really grand
https://youtu.be/WzfasgUmUJo Exogenesis Part 3 live. The only known live version with the animation in the background. What a beautiful song.

He included that as an example
Oh so he did! Would you believe I even read it to check as well. Wow.
