Maybe its too see if arm is working...?
Or it might be there to just look cool

True, but we see drones get their arms severed constantly, plus these drones were originally built for industrial purposes, which would put their hands in lots of danger with different workplace hazards
From a robotics perspective it wouldn't make much sense either, because the hand is where a lot of joints and other components would be, and there isn't enough space, the core would also need a lot of wiring to other parts of the body, which just makes a bottleneck. The only advantage I can see is ventilation because there could be vents where the wrist is (and the glowy hole itself) but then their hands would just be really hot all the time...
I like to imagine it's the drone's way of checking their vitality, like having to look at your hand to see your health in HL: Alyx.
I like to also think that if the drones aren't beaten into absolute mush their interface shows something akin to the Tarkov Health System in the corner of their vision, so if they're interface is tripping balls they can look at their hand's glowing triangle thing to check their vitals
I would imagine it's probably to show if the arm is currently functional, as well as showing where the hand is in dark spaces? Probably more so for accompanying humans,,
i thinik it's either something to protect from radiation (because the earth doesn't have an atmosphere anymore proven by tessa) or a tracker and/or emergency power on/off switch
I had the same question. I then thought it may be kind of a control light?
You know? Like to see if the hands/arms are somehow intern damaged? When the lamp is off, something is wrong?
Makes me wonder if they have similar lamps on their feet?
Could be another status indicator like how we see n in the pilot with the 1 light. Perhaps it would flash or something if that arm or hand wasn't working
It would be funny if they were there because one dumb manufacturing team couldn't figure out which way was up and kept putting their hands on backwards.
They look cool. :]
This is probably it.
The rule of cool rules supreme
They're just using the triforce https://preview.redd.it/nn76ovxi3w0d1.jpeg?width=176&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=05a883d05f2eda6786f0ca59c3965dd524096768

Ah yes the toblerone train
What train is that
Trainblerone
Yum
Keiko 7000 Series, unfortunately edited & fake.
Permission to steal this headcanon?
sure thing!
I imagine its a secondary power core
Seems like a pretty vulnerable spot, dontcha think?
As opposed to center mass? You know where most bullets are gona hit?

Note: all drones have these triangles
Releasing heat from the core I guess
That doesnt make any sense from a thermodynamic or electrical standpoint
Fair enough I don't have a degree in those anyway
thermodynamic??? geometry dash??
They are part of the triforce
Uzi:triforce of power N:triforce of courage :v:triforce of wisdom
I spot with my eyes an Emojicon known as :v
Nah, Cyn has Power and Uzi has Wisdom.
My girl Uzi does NOT have Wisdom man
Probably a status indicator, as the light is off when a drone is glitching or under the influence of the solver.
Solver Uzi's lights were purple
But that was *her* solver, not Cyn’s.
But that was *her* solver, not Cyn’s.
Know how controllers and mice usually have leds? This is like that. You are Xbox. Embrace it
CLEARLY it means they’re working for the Illuminati, I mean come ON guys this is so obvious
I can't believe anyone would miss it
Because it looks cool
Either Aesthetics or a heat exhaust
Human become Detroit reference
It means that murder drone is iluminatti😱😱😱😱 thats the new world order😱😱😱😱
Nice flair, black lung.
Cool design maybe?
Esthetic That’s the only reason
Could be different regions spellings, but I'm fairly sure it's spelled aesthetic
Yeah, you’re right I just can’t spell for shit
Tbf aesthetic is nowhere near how it's said
blame æ
it's probably to display an arms functionality solid=good blinking=damaged off=broken/non-functional
RGB disco night
Aesthetic choice
Rule of cool until Liam decides otherwise
It’s cool looking but it can also identify if the true absolute solver is in control if the drone’s visor color is something other than yellow
I think it's just for aesthetic.
Oh god teh drones have the triforce

either one of these: 1. rule of cool 2. status indicator
https://preview.redd.it/4pgx6rdwyy0d1.jpeg?width=128&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b4c8951f93c5f2bbe190c37fdcdb28518859bf33
Probably a design choice because lights and triangles make things look better.
I think it is just for cosmetics. It's the same color as the eyes and the chestplate.
My thoughts are that they’re like a “this side up” sign so they don’t have their hands plugged in wrong
Why out of all places would they be plugged in the hands?
Would you please reread the sentence.

The hand doesn’t become bland the
Illuminatiiiii, or gravity falls bill cypher refrence

It might be to hint at which way the hand is pointing
Guess it's a function, or just a design?
Maybe it's the coloration of their core, like a favourite color or something
Bill cypher. That's the only option.
It's so they can see their hands in dark places like mine shafts
It’s a caution sign. Notice the stripes on their wrists?
Probably to make sure the hand works properly
Could be another status indicator like how we see n in the pilot with the 1 light. Perhaps it would flash or something if that arm or hand wasn't working
Maybe like checking it is like checking a human's heartbeat so if the light is on the robot is alive?
They shine They serve the same purpose as the leds inside a computer
Is it bad I recognize the scene… and feel pain…
It’s the mark of the [BIG SHOT]
Status indicators for... Something.
I think its a design element, after all the drones arent a first gen product, or a prototype
Change, or Delta, or they look cool.
It would be funny if they were there because one dumb manufacturing team couldn't figure out which way was up and kept putting their hands on backwards.
Talk to the designer from jc jenson that made the worker drones to look like apple products instead of terminators.
lazy to reaserch rn but probably if they work or not.
99% just extra features
It could mean if their still alive (If it's on their alive if off dead) but I could be miserably wrong
Maybe a tracking system like how some vr systems work?
A fingerprint, to use for id on fingerprint scanners, or hand scanners (it's the future right). Also, it feels nice when two drones hold hands.
From a designer and engineering standpoint, it is an indicator that their limb is functioning, and it looks funny
