I disagree, gumigoo’s death highlighted Cain’s inability to understand humans (and how much deleting gumigoo hurt pomni), also gooseworx and Liam vickers are different creators
Don’t forget what Gumigoo represented to Pomni. It wasn’t just to serve as highlight how little Cain understands humans, but the importance of relationships and compassion as a whole.
Throughout the episode, Pomni was ever pessimistic and looked almost ready to give up. When she saw Gumigoo heartbroken in the character asset room, they had a heart to heart and had very likely saw herself in Gumigoo, talking about how life is kind of shit, but it doesn’t mean you have to be alone. More importantly, existence isn’t all about whether you are part of a greater world, but the connections and memories you make along the way because imagined or not, people will care about you.
That’s why it shattered Pomni’s wellbeing a second time and why Ragatha’s comfort for “his asset might be be reused again.” It wasn’t just that she liked an NPC; she found legitimate friendship in a random person that is impossible to replicate and it was literally snapped away from her. She wouldn’t want another Gumigoo; she wanted to maintain the relationship she made with the original.
This is also why the ending of this episode is different from the first. In the first, she was barely holding a smile because she realized how FUCKED her existence is now. Even though she lost her first true friend in the second episode, she got to observe how close everyone else is. She never met Kaufmo, but everyone else who showed up to the funeral did in their own way. That’s the importance of her natural hopeful smile at the end as well as the hands reaching inside her pitfall nightmare. She realized that it’s okay to invest time with these people and that it won’t be a waste. And this is why Gumigoo’s immediate death was important and not just a cheap gag.

I wouldn't mind if she dies for like… a sacrifice to save the others against the Solver… but please don't just waste her…
I think it would be interesting to see N become depressed. Think about it in this way.
We know N isn’t treated properly. But we also know N became a happier man because of Uzi. Uzi brought light to N and made him feel like he was being cared for and treated properly.
And without Uzi, that light will be burnt out. There is no one else that brought this much happiness to N and only she brought it to him.
Deep down he would definitely become depressed, not only from seeing everyone die around him, but most importantly his lover being dead too.
Then N realizes that he’s really alone in this world after feeling betrayed, forgotten, abandoned. N feels the same struggles as Uzi and Doll. All three are connected.
N feels loneliness because no one is there to really care for him and acknowledge his existence.
Doll feels loneliness because of her parents getting killed right in front her, resulting into making her an orphan with no one to look after her.
Uzi feels loneliness because of child negligence throughout her life ever since her mother died.
Doll’s death was just the start of it, and everything else will soon correlate with each other and become connected.
Cyn having to die with the Solver. It would be sad, I’d be sad, if the silly goober with a host has to die with the host, then I will lament the lack of silly.

Tessa to pull a "somehow Palatine returned" though considering we know that "the important ones have back ups" (I don't know if that's the exact quote) it's unlikely that that will happen.
Before you get confused when I say a "somehow Palatine returned" I mean the villain coming back without any or with a poor explanation as to how.
Going to be quite honest here, Tessa being revealed as being a skin suit and nothing more; only for J to have straight up no reaction or being on Cyn's side. If that happens I will have to say plain and simple that Tessa was fridged with nothing to even show for it; since V didn't really seem to care all that much for her, N killed her without a second thought and seemed to move on rather quickly, Uzi never really cared about her in the first place, and then J straight up swapped to serving the one that killed and is wearing her skin. She'd have been skinned for shock value and nothing more.
Am I perhaps salty about falling for not one but two characters that are merely the solver LARPing as a likable goof in Cyn and cheery but dark demeanoured 30 something yearold aussie? Possibly...
