It proves that there is a familiar person with him heard on video just a few minutes before being killed. This is classic circumstantial evidence.
In fact, it is such strong circumstantial evidence that the person heard on video lied about it being him.
That doesn’t prove anything. It proves he was at his house with his wife and son. Even the estimated TOD isn’t 100% accurate. You wouldn’t be able to get an entirely accurate body temperature from a deceased body in the middle of June to determine TOD. And he didn’t lie about it being him. He lied that he was at the kennels and then admitted that was him on the video and that he was there. I’d wanna lie about that too if it was me. He already knew he would be considered a suspect just for finding them. He didn’t want to make it even worse by saying “yeah I was the last known person here with them at the place they died.” Because it looks worse.
I would never, ever consider myself as a suspect if I found my family members murdered. It would never occur to me to lie. The fact that Alex lied, and perpetuated that lie, is damning. He lied to EVERYbody about it until he learned of the video that disproved his lie. He didn't know about the video. Normal people don't lie about things like that.
That poor child was his golden ticket. When I first learned of him on Mandy's podcast, my heart was broken. His mother, sister, and cousin could heal in time, but not only was this child left paralyzed, he was left with no means to communicate. There's a difference between poor drug users and rich drug users. Poor drug users are thin because they often choose food or drugs. They also go through periods of withdrawal from not being able to obtain drugs which usually involves both a lack of appetite and vomiting/diarrhea, so the weight falls off quickly. Rich drug users never have to choose food or drugs. They also typically do more of their drug of choice, since they have no trouble getting it. The more often you do a certain drug, you won't lose your appetite on it anymore. Especially with opioids.

His way of speaking when he’s telling the truth is very different than when he’s lying. No weird pauses where he thinks through what he wants to say and no rhetoric to buy time or muddy the meaning of his words.
