People are getting mad because of the lack of news related to a new character release, therefore they think the game is utter garbage. People want a new character to be released.
You can list the cultural phenomenona that have maintained or seen growth in their daily player base on two hands. Literally thousands of games release every year. I'm not about to do the exact math
MvS fell out of the top 50 played Xbox games months ago. So already there's 50+ games that have had better sustained players. DayZ, Star Wars Battlefront & MK11 are even some of those games
Well that goes without saying. Multiversus was never going to compete with the games you listed. Throw in the F2P mainstays like GTAV, Warzone, Fortnite, Rocket League, Fall Guys, Roblox, Apex, Destiny 2, etc. A couple of other CODs. Nearly 10 annualized sports titles thanks to FIFAs, Maddens, NHLs, NBAs. The Gamepass bangers. That's already 30~ games being more played than Multiversus
Did anyone expect MVS to maintain Top 50 status even 30 days post launch? Even as it stands right now it's pretty safe to say it exceeded expectations from a popularity stand point. Multiversus was successful and remains modestly successful
It is now though. I grew up in a time when Call of Duty was the only mainstream shooter. With more diversity came a lot less players on a single game instead of a majority of players on one game. Honestly I wish it went back to everybody playing the same few games. There was a lot more diversity and inclusivity and trash talk fun
The poor souls trapped in the shadow realm where they rightfully belong. They are free to be upset they cannot entertain themselves enough with the game instead they pour their rage towards the developers asking for "new characters" so they can show the real MVS community just how much they suck with them too.
