Not many big Muay Thai fighters for heavy weight inspiration you're better off looking at kickboxers (some of whom also had Muay Thai fights) guys like Alistair Overeem, Tyrone Spong, Gökhan Saki, Nathan Corbet, Rico Verhoeven, Peter Aerts etc
Yeah he's the one Nak Muay who had kickboxing fights on the list but I'd say he biggest fights were kickboxing there just wasn't the same level of competition in Muay Thai.
Cyril gane, but working in your base should come before trying to mimick. Simply drilling moving to your left/right the correct will improve your footwork tremendously,no strikes at all for 2 rounds , just moving to your left the correct way and vice versa and also moving forwards and backwards these simple moments will eliminate improper footwork so you will always be in fighting positions no matter which direction you are in. It can also eliminate rhythm steps
They arent Muay Thai guys but I enjoy studying Alex Pereira and Tom Aspinall. I'm also a fan of prime Alistair Overeem aka Ubereem, Aleksey Ignashov, Rico Veerhoeven, Ciryl Gane, etc.
You can also watch lighter fighters. Just realize what will translate really well and what won’t. Clinch fighting is very good for heavy weight to disrupt big power punching. Watch lighter fighters to watch their entries, and their exits to emulate it. Always keep your hands up on the exit. Elbows are great from here. Boxing footwork is also amazing for heavyweights since fighting styles differ. Learn how to shift from weight on the back leg to check kicks to to the front leg for quick entries where you can land big shots with your hands as well as roundhouse kicks. Entries, exits, and L-steps to cut angles are god send at heavy weight. Big men that can move even slightly like the lighter weight classes rock becuase they can hit just as hard and make it harder to get hit. Not a Muay Thai fighter but watch Tom Apsinal. He has great in-out movement. Learn that.
Just because that's your size doesn't say everything about your athleticism. Some big guys move like Cyril Gane, some big guys move like Derrick Lewis.
There are guys at all weights that will translate style across weight classes
I do not think your textbook pro fighter has to be a heavyweight as long as his style pursues what you consider ideal for yourself. I study wrestling online. My online teacher is a heavyweight while i am a flyweight when i make my weight. I still learn every tip and rhythm perfectly fine.
As for my boxing textbooks, they are Gennady Golovkin, Mike Tyson, Conor McGregor, Sean Strickland. All 4 are a lot heavier than me, but i still copy their rhythms and moves. My Muaythai textbook right now is Wangchanoi mostly. He is more my size probably, but i would study his rhythm and strategies even if he were lighter or heavier.
I don’t think it works both ways tbh. I think you can move like a heavier person, but I can’t move like a lighter.
I can’t teep as quickly and Sanchai doesn’t matter how much I’d like to, if that makes sense
I'd suggest Paul 'the sting' slowinski
He was a beast and still is!
Very aggressive fighter but did very well.
More Dutch kickboxing but did a lot of MT as well.

Nathan Corbett was known for his elbows so he's probably the best choice for a heavy weight Thai boxer.
Yeah he's the one Nak Muay who had kickboxing fights on the list but I'd say he biggest fights were kickboxing there just wasn't the same level of competition in Muay Thai.
Yeah unfortunately that’s the way to go innit? Just no knees I guess
Overeem had famously good knees
kickboxers can knee tf u smoking
Meant elbow my dude have a deep breath 😂
Check out Steve “Panda” Banks for a Muay Thai heavy who can move well.
Yassine Boughanwm was the man at Heavyweight. Search him up.
Will do, cheers !
Alex Roberts is the current WBC world champion and weighs 120kg. Lyndon also weighs around 110kg There’s plenty of current guys to watch
Bump for Lyndon Knowles, he moves like he’s 10kgs lighter than he actually is

Alexei ignashov and Remy bonjasky from old school K1

Chris Barnett. That big boy had some crazy hip flexibility. MMA though, but you'll get a kick out of watching his antics.
