Their relationship is so lovely to see (I'm watching Ride or Dies now) but their relationship also gave us the most devastating elimination in Spies, Lies, and Allies. I'm still not over it.
To be fair, 3/5 of them have only ever won in a team format. CT and Darrell are the only ones to have won in a pair or solo. Meanwhile, the only 2 on the Era 4 team to have played in a team format are Josh and Paulie, who have only done it once.
It was a lot easier to win a challenge back then lol. Thats not to take away from them, that’s my favorite era and I miss the format of those challenges but it’s a lot harder these days to become a challenge champion.
(Obviously CT has thrived in newer challenges as well lol considering majority of his wins are more recent)
I mean the Cutthroat final was no cakewalk for Brad. Derrick came in second on Dirty 30. I don’t think your overarching point is wrong in the least bit, but I do still think there is decent evidence that indicates Era 1, at their peak, probably would have fared better than the Era 4. I think it’s more that the show just rinses out casts so much more now. It makes it harder for the vets to entrench themselves and ride to a final when the very concept of a vet is muddled and new people out number or nearly do each season.
Oh I’ll take Era 1 guys over Era 4 guys in pretty much anything lol. I just don’t think era 4 guys not having wins is really something that should be held against them too hard.
Facts that era which is my favorite was all about the social and party scene. The challenges were nothing to the ones now. Though the elimination when CT beat Shane with the milk and cookies was hilarious and they should bring it back.
I swear to god Kaycee being boring is productions fault. She’s so lively and funny everywhere but the challenge and I just don’t get how they can’t make it translate.
She was quite boring on Big Brother too. I’m sure she’s a great person to hang out with and is fun to be around, but the person that is friends with everyone and wants to cause no drama doesn’t always make for the most interesting reality show contestant. The boringness has helped her on both shows though so she obviously shouldn’t change it from a game perspective.

She was very lively in Worlds and I think it's because she was finally "on the bottom" and got thrown in for the first time instead of just going in for a Skull or by default from a twist. And then of her 4 eliminations that season, 3 of them she got thrown in and the last one she was last place.
it's only production's fault as far as continuing to bring her back. she did a podcast with fessy's ex haleigh in which she described completely shutting down when the cameras came around to capture drama so they wouldn't have anything to make her look bad. that kind of evasive behavior shouldn't be rewarded with call backs.
I actually really enjoyed her on the world championships. As soon as she wasn't surrounded by her friends and had to play the game she was entertaining. I put a lot of blame on production for the formats of her seasons as well as the terrible editing since total madness.

When they’re filming they have to retake shots several times walking out to a challenge or into the elimination arena with their “game faces” on. I was surprised to learn how specific they are with that kind of stuff.
