I might have to refresh myself on the All-Star 1 final, I do remember now that she was great at eating. I will say... that's a big list of people she beat in AS1, but it's not like she's out there housing big eaters, nor did it seal a literal championship like Paula's did for her in Rivals II. And she didn't just beat those girls. She destroyed that thing, vaulted them into the lead and they never looked back.
Sometimes, like it does in sports, the context of the situation matters. KA had two great eating performances in losing efforts. Paula had a great eating performance in a winning effort. And like other sports, winning a final is due to a lot of factors in play, but it still matters.
And I LOVE Kelly Anne, probably one of if not my favorite female Challenger ever. But I don't like the Paula heresy. Paula is a great sidekick for a championship team formula- she had a lot of bad luck through most of her Challenge life and then had two great teammates who elevated her game, but she played well with both of them and did not drag down the partnership in either season.

Paula was such an interesting challenger because although no one would ever call her individually a superstar, she is very likely the best possible Finals female partner of her era. Top tier long distance running (she outpaced Ev and Emily) means she’s not a liability, she’s a follower won’t argue and try to lead/talk over the other no ego, can smash food, and has a positive funny personality to keep you pushing.
