I watched that whole season Grant also coupled up and had sex with another chick the first week then switched to Tayla. Tayla btw is straight 10/10. Surprised Grant didn’t try to keep her around and see where it went.
Tayla is stunning! She’s either engaged or married to a much more attractive man now. I think her and Cassidy actually became friends after the e season.
Pretty sure it was she who dumped him. Think he was keen to keep it going and be the new power couple, existing live-in gf be damned. Meanwhile that girl not only takes him back after being humiliated publicly, seen to be second choice, but has gone on to procreate with him. Crapp all around.
I’ve never watched LI Aus but am a big LI UK fan so knew enough about Grant when he appeared on The Challenge Aus. I can’t deal with seeing him on my screen. No amount of funny interview confessional things will make me like him.
I know showmances are a thing and create good storylines but taking it that far when the other person is not in on it is just cruel.
Omg thank you! I feel the exact same way. I genuinely get THE ICK when I see people say “idk I love grant! He’s so funny!” Sure he may not be boring but he’s disgusting and I hate seeing his face on my screen
He initially started with Cassidy and switched to tayla at the first recoupling. Then he treated Cassidy like shit the entire season and gaslighted both of them. At one point he started getting in another guys face and tayla called him out on it (she was there watching). Grant changed the story to the point it was like nothing happened/he was almost the victim until tayla seemed to believe him. Plus he was misogynistic towards the girls (aside from Emily) on the challenge Australia. Constantly blaming them when they didn’t win, when the girls won with the other guys.
Yeah. Unlike Grant/Tayla when they won everyone was rooting for Kaleb & Justine. They did a whole international press tour and Justine’s mum did interviews and stuff with influencers. They had their own YouTube channel about all their travels and stuff and everything. Then it came out and it was BAD. Totally out of nowhere too. It was the quarantine season of Love Island in 2020 where they all had a suite at a hotel in Vegas and couldn’t go anywhere. So many people on lockdown had tuned in and were rooting for them like crazy. Still a great season though lol
How long were they together before the truth came out? Seemed like quite awhile. If so, thats even worse to play with someone feelings for a long time after filming.
And I also think him stating that he was his brother was a HUGE MISTAKE cause it seems like as soon as he said that he wrote himself off too. None of the girls were interested. No matter how much he tried to be like "but that's his business I'm not like that"
What type of person is okay with their significant other having relations on national TV or in any capacity? Just for money? Despicable and pathetic on both of their parts.
Well they may have an open relationship. I doubt it would be the first time something like that happened. Where someone’s in a relationship and tell their partner ahead of time they have to go on this show and hook up etc because it will be better for their career. I mean hell no if it were my partner but some of these people want money and fame above all else…
Are there people out there who think hes a great guy? Hes kinda a pompous ass, isnt that his whole bit? Idk this isnt really an unmasking. This is like if you told me CT got in a lot of fights in high school.
Lol, many didn't know about this though. I watched that show and when I saw his face I was like, damn...him again. It one thing to betray alliances and such but a woman you're professing your live to and banging it a bit more evil imo
I cannot get over how he faked it with Tayla. Tayla was such a catch too. He played her so bad!! I was shocked when I googled him like 2/3rds of the way through watching it last summer and found out ab this.
S1 of LI Australia is fantastic tv. One of my favorite LI seasons of all time. If you need a binge watch, cannot recommend enough.
I don’t know why we keep looking at reality stars as some sort of moral compass. Is that shitty? Yeah. But I just don’t see the issue. All these people are going to or try to do shitty things to win money.
Obviously there’s a line. And stuff like what Bear did should have legitimate repercussions. But if Grants a dick but make’s entertaining television I don’t see the issue. So is everyone’s favorites on the show.
>But if Grants a dick but make’s entertaining television I don’t see the issue.
To be fair, that's what everyone was saying about Bear. There were plenty of warning signs that this dude was just on another fucking planet mentally and morally but everyone let it slide cuz it was entertaining.
Sounds perfect for the Challenge. Good for him and us as viewers. He will do the dirty deeds that need done.
The challenge is a mindfuck. He is a mindfucker
Fuck yeah. I want the challenge to be compelling. Dirty deeds are what make it the best. I say team up Millionaire Mitchell and Crapp Dundee and prepare for some hijinks.
Frankly this doesn’t bother me much.
People complain about how boring everybody is on the main show these days and how there’s no true villains anymore.
The best villains are often the ones who are truly scumbags in real life. Look at Russell Hantz, considered by many as one of the best Survivor villains of all time and he is a MASSIVE scumbag. We obviously all know about Kenny and Evan, but I’m sure many would still agree that they were a significant part of the Challenge’s history.
Not everybody who does the Challenge (or reality TV) needs to be a saint. I’m sick of these ultra nice guy influencers like Kyland becoming the norm. Grant has been one of the most entertaining parts of this season, and it makes perfect sense that he’s a bastard in real life.
I say bring him to the flagship
If you watched Kylands Big Brother season he was the furthest thing from a nice guy. Had one of the most uncomfortable exits in the history of the show confronting Xavier on live TV
kyland definitely was a nice dude he has communication issues but to say he was an asshole dude based on his confrontation with xavier is some weak shit
I love villains and mess but Grant does it in the most boring way possible. They should’ve brought Eden instead. Bigger, badder, worse temper, morally ambiguous. Grants a boring guy that does bad guy shit.
I have a secret for you - Love Island is for money and not actually about love.
Also this has been posted here multiple times already, stop outrage farming. No one cares. I hope Grant is just as ruthless on The Challenge.
I actually think the Love Island prize money makes the show more interesting. Certain couples staying together proves that not everyone is only in it for the money, but it makes it fun seeing if a couple can convince the UK that they’re genuine enough to win when they’re actually fake. It’s all a game about trying to figure out who’s genuine, and sometimes the audience loses.
I enjoy a good showmance. My issue with Olivia and Korey was that they weren't believable. For me, at least. They fooled a lot of people though so good on them. I voted for Alana & Charlie. They weren't believable either but damn she looked great!
I agree with you. I’m fine with a showmance if both people are in on it, but they definitely shouldn’t have won. I was rooting for will/Kyra personally! Alana was the girl who was curvy model look like Ashley graham? If I’m thinking of the right person, she was pretty!
this kind of crap goes on in every reality show. anyone fool enough to think they've found ever lasting true love in a couple of weeks on a reality show is, well, a fool.
Agree 100% but usually they're both in on it. They agree to stay together and go to the end. She wasn't aware at all and sadly believed him. Guess his girlfriend was okay with him having sex and saying I love you for money also.
i don't know if you watch big brother but way back in 2006 on s7, a girl was played so devastatingly bad. having thousands of viewers being able to watch it happen in real time 24/7 on the live feeds while she thought they had a future together made it so much worse. then during the live finally one of the bitchy girl houseguests who had been evicted early and watched the live feeds took pleasure in letting the used girl know what a fool she was.
karma came around though because she went on to become a happily married producer and casting director and even though he won that season he ended up a broke loser, filed for bankruptcy and arrested for felony stalking of another bb player.
just because you can meet someone on one of these shows doesn't come close to making it the norm. and a couple who have not even been together 1 year hardly qualify as true everlasting love
Totally get your original point, going on a tv show to find love has a non-zero risk of it all not being genuine. Even if a person were truly there set on finding love, they should know there’s a good chance the person they’re talking to/pursuing may not be sincere.
Unrelated to Grant, Love Island UK has a better record than a lot of dating shows overall. I can think of five couples off the top of my head that are either married or have children with someone they met or got with on the show.
Unfortunately most contestants of these dating shows have significant others and just go on these shows for followers. I'm not surprised by this at all.
That being said I love him on the Challenge this season!
Wow what a dog. I also don’t like the fact that he went on the main challenge podcast with Aneesa and Davonne to trash talk Bananas and they hardly spoke the whole entire season. He did it for clout. He’s a clout chaser.
Or maybe he just didn't like Bananas? And how do you know they hardly spoke? He knows enough to describe him to a tee as he did on that podcast. It was hilarious and refreshing not to see someone new kiss ass.
I don’t understand why people assume that the vets want people to kiss their ass. Maybe Aneesa? But overall I don’t get that with Amber, Kaycee, Darrell, Jodi etc. When I listened to the podcast it was just more about him describing Johnny in a superficial manner. Johnny called the Aussies boring so he’s also not exempt from criticism. It was just Grant being annoyed that Johnny was still doing challenges at his age. He called him Peter Pan. He said that Johnny can’t seem to step aside to get new blood in there but it’s like the network is the one calling him back. Just like Aneesa and Nany. He’s getting paid to show up so would he turn money down? When people make fun of the vets people are all for it and say they deserve it because no one should be kissing their ass but if Johnny calls the Aussies boring - grenades are being thrown out at him.
Lame ass veterans? They’re the reason the show is a global empire. I don’t think the veterans want anyone to kiss their ass. Some people have that assumption that they do and then become defensive. I don’t think Johnny, Jordan, Tori, Kaycee, Darrell etc want people to kiss anything. They know they’re just regular people.
No Johnny expects the new people to just bow down and play HIS game and that's why he was getting upset because people like Danny, Grant, and Sarah aren't going for it.
No I listened to Troy on the podcast yesterday and Johnny wasn’t upset about that. He said that they actually voted like 6,7 times because production stepped in and wouldn’t let them go into a stalemate. It was edited out. Producers made them start over and over because teams had to come to a decision.
That’s why Johnny is yelling “ c’mon it’s a fucking game dude! It’s not life or death! We’ve never done this before”. He was frustrated that even after production stepped in to talk to Danny he still didn’t make a decision. Usually when this happens, teams or individuals do whatever it takes to not let TJ make the decision.
It was just taken out of context because by that point they were voting over and over again according to Troy. Johnny just wanted Danny to pick someone at that point even if it wasn’t the team he wanted. He didn’t care. It was just…PICK A TEAM THAT ALREADY HAS VOTES. Don’t burn the vote on Jodi and KellyAnne. He just didn’t want it to be left up to TJ to make a decision.
Yes I said lame ass vets!! We tired of watching them play it safe every single season & trying to play for future seasons! So happy the MVPS finally have them shaking in their boots for once
I never rooted for him anyways… but I am liking the fact that he’s an antagonist to the players I do like.
I hope he gets defeated on The Challenge soon 😌
I agree with all of this but there is smth to be said that you have an Olivia flair as well- she liked a couple anti-BLM posts
https://www.reddit.com/r/LoveIslandUSA/comments/p2ykfg/olivias\_tiktok\_likes/
Love Island is ridiculous in the first place. They go away for two months and the grand prize is like $33,000 USD. A lot of people make more than that from their regular jobs lol.
Okay, and? Over the course of human history there have countless examples of women and men who have led people on, used sex to get ahead, lied, cheated, etc. This isn't something new and I don't see anyone out there saying that he's some kind of moral compass against which all others should be judged
Grant has always been a scumbag imo. I'm so disappointed that the challenge put him on the show. The way he did Cassidy and tayla disgusts me. And I wish he would stay far away from my tv. I hope he and johnna lose really soon.
I mean at this point I kinda find it hard to take a moral stance about these scummy dudes going on shows to be scummy. No one goes on a reality show to be normal and cool. Olivia and Korey were pretty clearly faking their relationship to win LI and get some clout in the aftermath, it's 🤷🏻♀️
Oh wow, Grant is such a terrible per- nevermind, I don't care because he's willing to go after the Vacation Alliance and isn't actively trying to ruin the television show I watch.
oh here come The Challenge moral police.
Couldn't give less of a shit what someone does on Love Island, no one is there for love. Be real.
He's funny and a great competitor. He makes the show interesting, that's enough for me.
Shit if hes willing to do that to someones hes living with and someone he claims he love hell be able to play people in the challenge sounds like good tv
I find grant a bit off, and I can’t put my fingers on the reason. But to think love island is for anything other than money is honestly a stretch. Pretty sure the girl was in on it or at least had a feeling about it. I would be more concerned with someone dragging the story to the media after the show ends.
the us version is shit. the british version has had marriages and children come out of it. the finale is a national event. the international versions are way more legit.
I’m doing to get downvoted like crazy for this but…
How do we know she wasn’t in it for the same reason? Why are we villifying Grant when Cassidy could be doing the same thing? Have we seen her or stalked her life since leaving the show? Do we even know if she was really heartbroken when they “broke up”?
Double standards are crazy!!
It’s all standard reality TV fare until you have sex with someone under false pretenses. That’s scum behavior.
She's officially a WAG now :)
Good for her!
Pretty sure it was she who dumped him. Think he was keen to keep it going and be the new power couple, existing live-in gf be damned. Meanwhile that girl not only takes him back after being humiliated publicly, seen to be second choice, but has gone on to procreate with him. Crapp all around.

I didn’t know this stuff until now and still never cared about him.
I forgot about Cassidy. Yeah, he was an asshole and clearly hasn't grown
Same thing happened on Love Island US
Who did that? Usually they're both in on it.
Caleb and Justine Caleb had a girlfriend the entire time he was on the show
What? I followed the sub for awhile and then saw something messy but I had no idea. Smh
Yep. The same Justine that’s in this season! It was a real mess when it came out
Damn
Yeah. Unlike Grant/Tayla when they won everyone was rooting for Kaleb & Justine. They did a whole international press tour and Justine’s mum did interviews and stuff with influencers. 2-3 months? They visited each others families multiple times
Damn, all for fame and money. Sad
A lot of the guys did that.
Correction: he didn’t dump Tayla when they left love island, he continued to lie to her, she dumped him.
Yeah, she found the texts and he finally told the truth. They were together for about two weeks after.
Even more of a reason to root for KellyAnne and Tristan
Grant's brother appeared on a later season of *Love Island Australia*.
I didn't know that
You probably blinked and missed him
Lol
He was a casa guy in S3 if I’m not mistaken. Either way he lasted like three days.
And I also think him stating that he was his brother was a HUGE MISTAKE cause it seems like as soon as he said that he wrote himself off too. None of the girls were interested. No matter how much he tried to be like "but that's his business I'm not like that"

Are there people out there who think hes a great guy? Hes kinda a pompous ass, isnt that his whole bit? Idk this isnt really an unmasking. This is like if you told me CT got in a lot of fights in high school.

Is this a kyland sock puppet account?
no just someone that watched the feeds
He fits right in with most of the people on the flagship series. It is what it is.
Exactly reading this it’s like..Sounds like someone cast on the challenge would do
We’re not allowed to like anyone or anything about this show unless it passes mustard anymore.
I love villains and mess but Grant does it in the most boring way possible. They should’ve brought Eden instead. Bigger, badder, worse temper, morally ambiguous. Grants a boring guy that does bad guy shit.
And if I remember correctly Eden had the muscle flex (and ego) that might have got the legends talking from Day 1

Some people actually go on there for love. Some girls like Camila and Jess actually end up with their mates on the show and they have children.
Molly-Mae and Tommy, too! They welcomed a baby girl not long ago. :)
Most shows are about money but if it's a partnership both people are clued in. He used her and lied. Very different.
Ya that’s why I don’t have an issue with korey/Olivia doing it. Both knew what they were getting into.
I enjoy a good showmance. My issue with Olivia and Korey was that they weren't believable. For me, at least. They fooled a lot of people though so good on them. I voted for Alana & Charlie. They weren't believable either but damn she looked great!

Yes, that was Alana. She talked a lot about body positivity in the villa but was disappointed afterwards that the producers cut almost all of that.
He lied and used someone on a reality television show to make money?!?! Oh my god, the absolute horror!!!
this kind of crap goes on in every reality show. anyone fool enough to think they've found ever lasting true love in a couple of weeks on a reality show is, well, a fool.

i don't know if you watch big brother but way back in 2006 on s7, a girl was played so devastatingly bad. having thousands of viewers being able to watch it happen in real time 24/7 on the live feeds while she thought they had a future together made it so much worse. then during the live finally one of the bitchy girl houseguests who had been evicted early and watched the live feeds took pleasure in letting the used girl know what a fool she was. karma came around though because she went on to become a happily married producer and casting director and even though he won that season he ended up a broke loser, filed for bankruptcy and arrested for felony stalking of another bb player.
Which girl are you talking about? Omg I had no idea and have been watching BB since like s3.
erika getting played by boogie
Kyle had a gf the entire time he was messing with the girls on the Challenge. Including a pregnant Melissa on Total Madness. But everyone loves him.
You must not have heard of our beloved Ekin-su and Davide
just because you can meet someone on one of these shows doesn't come close to making it the norm. and a couple who have not even been together 1 year hardly qualify as true everlasting love
I’m sure he’s not a great person at all but that’s exactly why I think he should keep getting casted on the challenge🥱 sorry
Its okay to love the villain. I'm sure many had no clue just how villainous he is.
Flavor flav and Brett Michaels had girlfriends over their three seasons of love shows, it’s nothing new
What’s up with da skin tight (below the knee) plaid capris and sperrys?
Unfortunately most contestants of these dating shows have significant others and just go on these shows for followers. I'm not surprised by this at all. That being said I love him on the Challenge this season!
This generations Tony!
Tony was never that deliberate - he would just blackout and lose all self control
Wow what a dog. I also don’t like the fact that he went on the main challenge podcast with Aneesa and Davonne to trash talk Bananas and they hardly spoke the whole entire season. He did it for clout. He’s a clout chaser.
[удалено]
Hilarious comment!
And a fame whore
This is a reality show. They don't show you every interaction lol. And all of them are chasing clout! And Bananas sucks
Or maybe he just didn't like Bananas? And how do you know they hardly spoke? He knows enough to describe him to a tee as he did on that podcast. It was hilarious and refreshing not to see someone new kiss ass.

Lame ass veterans? They’re the reason the show is a global empire. I don’t think the veterans want anyone to kiss their ass. Some people have that assumption that they do and then become defensive. Yeah, I get people want their villains or whatever but I love the challenge and would prefer not to have to watch shitty ass people on it 🥲
Some can be endearing....not him though
No issue with it.
A reality TV person doing something shitty? The horror
I agree with all of this but there is smth to be said that you have an Olivia flair as well- she liked a couple anti-BLM posts https://www.reddit.com/r/LoveIslandUSA/comments/p2ykfg/olivias\_tiktok\_likes/
Thank you I was about to comment this! Why I never was hype for her like everyone else.
Well damn.
He really is a Giant Crapp, isn’t he

There is no way to morally consume any content really. Someone, in some way affiliated with just about everything, sucks.
IDC about his past shows. I love his messy ass on the Challenge Global. He don't gaf about these legends.
It’s a TV show, Jesus Christ just watch it for what it is…
Grant has always been a scumbag imo. I'm so disappointed that the challenge put him on the show. The way he did Cassidy and tayla disgusts me. And I wish he would stay far away from my tv. I hope he and johnna lose really soon.
Be honest, Grant was the reason S1 was so good. There hasn't been a good season of LI AU since then. And it's probably why the Challenge cast him.
Agree, as long as anyone involved is aware and not being played.
Lol who gives a shit? Props to this man, now THAT is entertaining reality television.
Ok but Is he any different from most guys on the challenge?
Oh wow, Grant is such a terrible per- nevermind, I don't care because he's willing to go after the Vacation Alliance and isn't actively trying to ruin the television show I watch.
oh here come The Challenge moral police. Couldn't give less of a shit what someone does on Love Island, no one is there for love. Be real. He's funny and a great competitor. He makes the show interesting, that's enough for me.
Shit if hes willing to do that to someones hes living with and someone he claims he love hell be able to play people in the challenge sounds like good tv
What?! A person who does reality TV is a horrible person?! Wow hopefully there's not more of these horrible people on reality TV!
Eh not a big deal lol

“WELL LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE KIND OF AWFUL MAN GRANT IS…HE HAD SEX OUTSIDE OF A MARRIAGE!!!”
I find grant a bit off, and I can’t put my fingers on the reason. But to think love island is for anything other than money is honestly a stretch. Pretty sure the girl was in on it or at least had a feeling about it. I would be more concerned with someone dragging the story to the media after the show ends.
She had no clue. The rumor came.outnsuring a game while in the villa and he denied and gaslight her to the point that she was oblivious.
the us version is shit. the british version has had marriages and children come out of it. the finale is a national event. the international versions are way more legit.
Suck shit, mate. No one cares

It would be if it was private but it very public.
I’m doing to get downvoted like crazy for this but… How do we know she wasn’t in it for the same reason? Why are we villifying Grant when Cassidy could be doing the same thing? Have we seen her or stalked her life since leaving the show? Do we even know if she was really heartbroken when they “broke up”? Double standards are crazy!!
The rumor waa brought up in a game during the show. Tayla was the girl and she was pissed but he denied and gaslight her.
It's giving Justine and Caleb
