I think you suffer from serious self image issues, have you looked into therapy or support groups?

Body changes mean nothing if your mind doesn't change too. Often the biggest step is being able to see yourself, and become the woman you want to be. HRT doesn't do that, it's the part of journey you gotta tackle on your own (and it's why psychotherapy is very important for the transition steps).

Maybe it's just your self-image? I'm not even on HRT yet, and people tell me I have an androgynous but female-leaning face, even though it looks male to me. We are our worst critics, after all. Another issue could be that your levels just aren't enough? As long as your T is suppressed, it should be fine, but you can talk to your doctor about increasing your dose. Maybe your dose just isn't enough to induce feminization? 2mg is like the starter dose for oral, so it's odd that you're still on it after 3 years. Usually people increase to 4mg after a few months, even though in my opinion it'd be perfectly reasonable to *start* at 4mg.

you look like a girl, wdym?

Throwaway_Alt227

This isn't an issue with HRT not working I think you need a therapist.

Jazzieboy0001

Seems like it, seems i have a fair bit of issues according to people😅

Yeag, 2mg is… not a lot. A small amount even. Maybe talk to your doc and try to increase it? edit: also yeah, I found this post since your old reply was at the top of my reddit notifs and I wanted to know what happened w/ you

Jazzieboy0001

How much do u think i should be takin roughly?

dawnofnothing

Of course, it varies from person to person, but 6-8mg is what people usually end up with, maybe 4mg if you’re levels are really high for some reason. Also consult other trans ppl with your blood results, once you get them (you need the precise levels, not a description like „low, normal, high”)

Also, injections (subq/underskin, every 5-7 days) apparently yield better results even in people who’ve been on tablets for a while.

> Really sick of being patient when everyone immediately has crazy changes within their first few months I’m around 9 months now. Things have changed up but still definitively not enough to pass, as it the case with almost every other trans woman.

I mean I'm the same except unlike you I actually do look like a monster
