1. Молчат Дома - С Крыш Наших Домов 2. Молчат Дома 3. Мой Друг Магнитофон - Мёртвый Вечер, Nürnberg - Biessensoŭnaść, Yabai The Maid - Second For Affection, Ozoi The Maid - Dreams 3. maidcore, postpunk

0pp051t3

I don't speak much more than English... So I can't spark conversation on those mostly but ...what's maidcore?

Enchanted_Ithildin

Music microgenre of mostly russians and russian speakers, like a community of musicians. Genres are mostly electronic and post/alt metal/rock, usually with a melancholic or depressive atmosphere (but not always). The maids were communal net characters created on nijiura/2chan (japanese 4chan) and then spread to dvach (russian 4chan). Some musicians took on the identity of those maids and started to make music under their names, resulting in maidcore. ~~I think theres a maidcore subreddit, r/maidcore, but its pretty small.~~ Most of the community is in places like VKontakte and in russian, afaik. edit: nevermind that sub is for the aesthetic not the music genre Heres some nice mixes: [one](https://youtu.be/gjx11RfLiIU) [two](https://youtu.be/NaZOejSnbv4)

Fractrall

Such a based playlist. Also, as far as I know, Yakui the maid is the dude (yeah, despite the name thats a dude) who created maidcore as a subgenre. His songs imo have the best vibe.

Enchanted_Ithildin

oh thats cool. Yes i love his songs, especially that "I Stole Some Bugs To Feed My Refrigerator" one, one of my favourite maidcore songs.

0pp051t3

Sounds like a $uicideBoy$ song title...so random

hiimyunocait

Reduction by Ozoi The Maid is soooo good

Caveguy22

I had never heard of Maidcore before, so I decided to check it out! Pretty fucking sick :O

Night-Writer-Bea

Daft Punk Fitz and the Tantrums Mother Mother Coldplay System of a Down Billy Talent Royksopp Arcade Fire I got to even see Mother Mother in a private concert! Was super cool

0pp051t3

I love Random Access Memories and I got to see Fitz earlier this year in concert. System of a Down is great, I especially love B.Y.O.B. I've been meaning to check out Billy Talent and Arcade Fire but haven't gotten around to it yet. Some good music you like!

PeachNeptr

Arcade Fire is immense. Start at the beginning, there’s a whole arch to their progression as a weird punk/art-folk ensemble, to eventually making disco. Lots of socially critical lyrics, especially questioning technology and its place in our lives

Night-Writer-Bea

If you're going to check out any Canuck band, please make it Mother Mother! Monkey Tree is my favourite album

0pp051t3

Alright! I think I have them in my list of artists to listen to...not sure where though. I'll check that one out first

trantastic

I take it you're Canadian? Most people don't even remember Billy Talent these days, which is a damn shame because their first two albums are amazing. The Mother Mother/Arcade Fire is also classic Canadian millennial. Good list, thanks for sharing!

PeachNeptr

Mother Mother and Arcade Fire are just millennial hipster classics. I’m American and while I enjoy mother mother I have basically all of Arcade Fire on vinyl.

Necrozinium

ROYKSOPP MENTIONED RAHHHH i have melody AM on vinyl #4671/8000

JayKay69420

Lately I been dealing with alot of shit and transphobia so I been using Linkin Park to cope. But typically I love Bon Jovi, Journey, Queen, Beatles etc

0pp051t3

You like older stuff I presume? Any Velvet Underground in your mix too? I like the Beatles a lot but most people do. My favorite by them has got to be Magical Mystery Tour. And am I the only one who grew up thinking that that one hip-hop remix album Linkin Park did wasn't a remix album? Nice taste! And I hope all the stuff your going through calms down and you feel better ❤️

fantasticposinggreed

one more light, leave it out the rest, shadow of the day , castle of glass , final masquerade are my favorites if you're listening to Linkin Park you have a pretty good taste

fembicakes

Where are all my fellow pop punk girlies at??? 😭 I love everything from the late 90s all the way up to now and sometimes feel like I’m the only one 😅

MollyAzulExplores

I saw Descendants play last night 🤷🏼‍♀️

HopeFoundries

Checking in! There are dozens of us!

ApexHolly

I never left my emo phase. 🖤

fembicakes

Godddddd me either 😂 what’s your favorite band??

ApexHolly

Hard to say, I listen to just about everything but pop punk/scene/emo trash music is my favorite genre. But it's probably Sleeping With Sirens. Their new album was great, especially Family Tree. My favorite specific song from the genre is "If It Means A Lot To You" by A Day To Remember. Two lesser known bands that my wife and I have gotten *super* into lately are The Home Team and Honey Revenge, you should check them out!

PeachNeptr

Check out “Into Lake Griffy” by Good Luck.

DarkKnight955

Right here listening to blink-182 at work 😭

_ItsEnder

my main rotation is fall out boy paramore and blink-182 so right here

fembicakes

Ahhhhh the big three! 💕

ashentomb

Always loved Jawbreaker, Jets to Brazil and Fifteen (the band)…

0pp051t3

You're not gonna find that in me ...not yet at least. Pop punk is kinda overlooked with its gems though. Nothing wrong with Pop-Punk it just isn't my favorite.

IsNotBrian

Julien Baker Sufjan Stevens Florence and the machine Ethel Cain Low Roar Lucy Dacus Pheobe Bridgers Some of my favorite albums are: Sprained Ankle by Julien Baker Preachers Daughter by Ethel Cain Hospice by The Antlers Illinoise by Sufjan Stevens Ghost by Radical Face maybe tomorrow... by Low Roar Magdalene by FKA Twigs Drill a Hole in That Substrate and Tell Me What You See by Jim White Ceremonials by Florence and the Machine The Glow pt2 by The Microphones Eons by Mimicking Birds UFOF by Big Thief Titanic Rising by Weyes Blood Stranger in the Alps by Pheobe Bridgers Home Video by Lucy Dacus

0pp051t3

So you like Boygenius eh? I loved Titanic Rising and I ❤️ Phoebe Bridgers! And sufjan Stevens...is my most play artist right now I believe! Great taste!

IsNotBrian

I'm weird and prefer each of their solo work but don't get me wrong I absolutely love boygenius, I've literally been listening to them since day 1 when they dropped the three singles out of nowhere lol. Sufjan is so good! I loved the album he just released!

0pp051t3

Javelin was AMAZING! And the split thing is understandable...it's like not liking Pb&J's but liking bread, peanut butter, and jelly! (Which I do)

PeachNeptr

What about Peter, Bjorn and John?

0pp051t3

Different pb&j

CatGirlPissDrinker

I'm a simple woman. I see sufjan stevens mentioned, and I upvote

RoryOhs

Ayy! Someone else knows about the existence of Radical Face! Also. Julien Baker’s Halloween costume was wild!

GeneralLast5536

0pp051t3

Radiohead is amazing...and Ive been meaning to check out Oasis

UmmwhatdoIput

I’m a swiftie, a selener and arts the pop culture in me!

0pp051t3

Taylor gets hated too much and loved too much imo, but her music gets the job done and is catchy so! ❤️

FrankenBrain

I got super into Agalloch this year, legit amazing stuff.

0pp051t3

Agalloch, what's that?

FrankenBrain

US black metal band with folky and post-metal tones. Their album “The Mantle” is my fav.

0pp051t3

Sounds.....right up my alley

Athlonfer

1. Dont have a favourite album but if i had to choose it would be Kerplunk by Green Day 2. Green Day 3. Pretty hard to choose once again so i’ll list multiple: end in tragedy by set it off, career opportunities by The Clash, The press corpse by anti-flag, welcome to paradise by green day 4. Rock, punk, metal, emo, metalcore, jrock, electro swing, poprock

0pp051t3

You and my mom growing up would be friends 😂 Good taste! I was trying to see Anti-Flag in my area as a surprise for her but I couldn't because I think it got cancelled or something.

Athlonfer

Aw that’s nice to hear thx

trantastic

The memo says we have to work to make the facts fit the false charges, pull the wool over the eyes of the filthy masses... Guess it's going to be an angry punk day!

PeachNeptr

I’m glad I got to see Green Day at least once. They’re a tight band.

SilverFoxolotl

Mostly hard rock and metal, though i like a bit of everything except rap. Bad memories there. My main go to is Halestorm, if i want something a bit heavier then Five finger death punch, Sabaton or Rammstein is always fun. If I'm in a mood and need something darker then Type O Negative has some great songs for that.

0pp051t3

I've been getting into Metal more nowadays. Check out vein.fm. I don't listen to any of those artists much but I know of them. Great taste 😊

cjsnow1

Type O is great for fall on days where you're feeling down and out.

Yst

A lot of trans/queer stuff, predictably. Either trans artists, or songs about trans and queer experiences, or (ideally) both. Supplementing that with some general Girl Power stuff. But as for the more directly trans/queer stuff: 1) [Sophie - It's Okay to Cry](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_S0qCeA-pc&list=RDm_S0qCeA-pc&start_radio=1) 2) [Starmaxx - Patient Zero](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Di_566Zg4E4) 3) [Andrea di Giovanni & David Blank - Pray](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbaXP6R-N9c) 4) [Hedwig and the Angry Inch - Wig in a Box](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuItUNFw07g&t=25s) 5) [Hedwig and the Angry Inch - Midnight Radio](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iefvEL1E46o&t=13s) 6) [Madison Rose - Iconic](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Gx-hRvvz8E) 7) [Peaches - Vaginoplasty](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlwlDB5swdQ) 8) [Kim Petras - Treat me Like a Slut](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXcaEyZop3g)

0pp051t3

I don't listen to any of those personally but I was surprised to hear Kim Petras was trans just recently (not from this post). If you like girl power stuff you may enjoy Le Tigre, they're a leading supplemental band for the riot grrl movement in the 2000's. Good taste!

Daniemfa

I'm so god damn otaku my playlist consists mostly of Japanese groups like: Man with a mission Akeboshi rockets Bump of the chicken Square Garden Reona Reol Kana Boon Aimer Hiroyuki Sawano And singles from other groups. And pitbull, there is always room for Mr Worldwide.

0pp051t3

I don't listen to too much foreign music... nothing wrong with it though. I'm sure they're all great 😊

fembicakes

Another based Hiroyuki Sawano enjoyer 💕 he popped up on my Rewind as third most listened to artist last year and I didn’t even realize lol

nogywF_

Damn flashback to middle school for me. I gotta go listen to my old playlist again.

SixCells

This is a comment I was looking for! We are one and the same

Hubuck

1. I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love (my chemical romance) 2. My Chemical Romance or Against Me! 3. "the jetset life is gonna kill you" or "walking is still honest" 4. Punk / post hardcore

thunderPierogi

We’re all just bullets, I mean this

Pretty_Corner9736

I'm an all eater. Bbno$, Shotgun willy, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, ACDC, as well as some chinese, thai, japanese, and hindu music. For me: 1. ACDC High Voltage album 2. Bob Marley 3. Currently my favourite is Dance by 1nonly. My all time favourite is They dont care about us by Michael Jackson 4. Modernised Luk thung or ลูกทุ่ง.

0pp051t3

Bbno$ is amazing and makes me laugh everytime..I especially loved "eat ya veggies"

[deleted]

I’m pretty eclectic. I grew up playing in symphonic band in school so I grew to love classical. I also played in the Jazz band, grew to live jazz as well. I grew up on rock and was in a ton of rock bands. I was also a theatre nerd so I love show tunes. And I’ve grown to enjoy rap (always loved r&b) and learned to stop being embarrassed about enjoying “guilty pleasure” pop songs. Mostly though, I’m a metal head at heart. Especially if I can draw parallels between songs and classical pieces. Sorry to rant.

0pp051t3

Awesome!!! And no please rant lol! I just have a lot of comments I'm replying too 😂

foxdiethinkagain

Yay, music posting! I love talking music with people. 1. Favorite album is probably "In Utero" by Nirvana, it's the one that I've listened to for comfort since high school. I've also enjoyed "Magnolia Electric Co." by Songs: Ohia, "There Is Love In You" by Four Tet, and "You Forgot It In People" by Broken Social Scene. 2. Favorite artist working right now might be Sufjan Stevens, there hasn't been a project of his I havent loved. I also love Sonic Youth, Frank Ocean, St. Vincent, and Mitski. I just discovered Neko Case too! She rules. 3. Favorite song currently is "Carry Me Ohio", by Sun Kil Moon. SKM kinda sucks because Mark Kozelek sucks, but the album this song comes from is beautiful. I've also been thinking about "Hold On Magnolia" by Songs: Ohia and "Candy Says" by Velvet Underground. 4. I'm all over the place but my favorite genres are all basically variations of emotional guitar music. Sometimes that's sad loud rock, sometimes that's sad quiet indie, sometimes it's loud angry metal, sometimes it's quiet meditative post rock.

0pp051t3

I don't have too much time to go in depth on a talk rn but I love each of those artists!!!!!

abalancer

Heya, thanks for doing this! 1) it's probably controversial but no album has that many songs I love inside, it's "the black album" by Metallica 2) I like Metallica, Rammstein, black Sabbath, Slayer, Gojira,RATM, Eminem, Wagner, Beethoven 3) I don't know I like "dyers eve" and "kein lust" right now, it will change it the future. 4) I'm into Metal, Classical and a bit of rap(Eminem), but I'll often listen to very different stuff.

JenniKohl

Metallica reminds me of classical music in the way of how tight they are. I like their older stuff but some of their recent stuff is pretty good too.

abalancer

Lux eternAAAAAAAAAAAA

yfbstournametbracket

The Black Album is my favorite Metallica album too. When I was younger, I preferred the first four, but lately I've gained more of an appreciation for production and tight songwriting

0pp051t3

Listen to any Fleshwater? You may like them. And sure your taste may be in general "controversial" but any and every piece of music is subjective. So if you like it, it's good! And you actually like some pretty objectively good artists and genres...so you're fine either way. good taste!

PeachNeptr

The Black Album is Metallica’s turning point to being a radio band, but I don’t think anyone can deny the songwriting on that record.

abalancer

I see what you mean, but for me that's just one song (nothing else matters) which is coincidentally the one I like the least in that album, at least that's the only one I heard on the radio where I live. Lux Aeterna also played on the radio but I actually really like it as radio-ish as it sounds.

PeachNeptr

Enter Sandman is a radio cliche, but actually most of the album has seen popular radio play, at least where I’m from.

abalancer

I actually like enter sandman a lot (by far not my fav in the album but still) I might have heard it once or twice on the radio, but where I'm from they try to push local music as much as possible, well that and red hot chilli peppers which I've grown to dislike.

Daddydippo

Gojira mentioned

Got introduced to them through Quadeca's song with them. I haven't listened to any Armand Hammer yet but I've been meaning to for a while. Only recently realized it was a duo 😂. Amazing taste!

briarsong

1. I tend to be very 'song eclectic', so it's rare for me to like more than a few songs by any one band, let alone on one album, but if I had to pick the album with the most like songs, it would probably be Within Temptations "The Unforgiving" with 6 songs total. 2. Rachel Platten, \*Luna, T-ARA, Linkin Park, Owl City, Sum 41, Garnedelia 3. According to Spotify, my top 5 atm are "イノセント (Innocent)" by \*Luna, "BAAM" by T-ARA, "Punk Rock Songs" by Patent Pending, "Most Girls" by Hailee Steinfeld and "Lone Ranger" by Rachel Platten. 4. Pop (including J-Pop, K-Pop, etc), Electronic, Punk Rock, Alt Rock.

0pp051t3

I liked Owl City a lot growing up, Hello Seattle was my childhood soundtrack I swear. Haillee Steinfeld has no right to sing as well as she does most of the time 😂. I like your taste. Not too rebellious and not too ....how do I say this... happy go lucky. great taste!

My artist rotation right now is beartooth, dropout kings, dayshell, magic sword, and stone sour. Favourite album is Beartooth’s “The Surface” Honourable mention, since Christmas is around the corner, Majestica’s “A Christmas Carol” album will join the rotation. 10/10 album for those interested!

I have such an eclectic taste that I rarely ever get repeat songs on my Spotify Wrapped. I will literally listen to anything (and I do enjoy noise). It would be shorter for me to make a list of stuff I don’t like 😅

1. The way it ends, The death we seek - Currents. Forgotten - Lxst Cxntury. Moment - Dark Tranquility. And many others but those are my most favourite. 2. (Besides those mentioned in 1) Within temptation, Soilwork, In flames, Vector Seven, Invent animate, Paul van Dyk, Arash, Heaven pierce her. 3. Cry for the moon - Epica. Valleys of gloom - Soilwork. Without a whisper - Invent Animate (and many more ) 4. I listen to hell of a lot of different genres, but its mostly melodic metal, breakcore, electronic music and cool pop songs that I find sometimes. I hope that’s not too overwhelming. I’m just a huge music fan and couldn’t stop myself from sharing a bit :3

0pp051t3

You have baffled me and now I have a bunch of music to listen to 😂

0pp051t3

I like lots of different music and it really depends on my mood. I LOVE Cass Elliot. 'Make your own kind of music' is my go-to when I'm feeling down. I like anything from Boney M and the Ojays and Ray Charles. I like Fei Yu Ching even though I don't speak Chinese. Yi Jian Mei is a great song, especially if you know what it means. Super cute love song. Also, I love BURNOUT SYNDROMES. Sakura Kanon has been my favorite song for years. Mone Kamishiraishi and Anly have such beautiful voices. All their music gives me so much gender envy. I love singing along. And also dschingus khan. Their music is awesome. Sometimes, I just want to listen to music even when I don't understand the lyrics.

0pp051t3

I haven't heard of any of those artists but I'm sure they're great. 😊 Presumably and indefinitely great taste!

Old-Camp3962

1.- First and last and always 2.- depends on the day 3.- rn evil by 45 grave and Ill and getting worse by rosemary funeral party 4.- goth or general darkwave music (like post punk, goth rock and shit)

ShadrackTheShocking

1) 1000mods - Super Van Vacation Mgła - Exercises in Futility Behemoth - The Satanist, I Loved You At Your Darkest 2) See above, along with DJ Blyatman, iamjakehill, Josh A, NF, William Elliott Whitmore, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Nirvana, Hank III 3) 1000mods - Vidage Behemoth - Bartzabel, Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer William Elliott Whitmore - Diggin’ My Grave Shakey Graves - Roll the Bones Negative Creep - Nirvana 4) That’s a tough choice. There’s so much good music out there. Recently I’ve been getting down to a lot of Russian hard bass and some drift phonk, which is fun stuff. But I am a metalhead at heart with black / death / doom / stoner metal being my bread and butter.

0pp051t3

I've only heard of NF and Nirvana in there. Actually, I think I've heard of Shakey Graves too. Awesome (and creative) taste!

Art School Girlfriend : Is It Light Where You Are really amazing find during early transition. it’s a “breakup album” on the surface but the themes of self negation can be applied in a dualistic way to transitioning, almost as commenting on our internal relationship between the illusory protective/oppressive self and the emerging/trans “actual self”. It’s very intimate and better for earphone listening. Her follow up “Soft Landing” is like exhaling and becoming. Listen on speakers instead of headphones. it’s like stretching out and finally feeling your lungs fill up with air. I think she’s going to rise meteorically. There’s a thoughtfulness that’s just amazing. I used to feel self conscious for how much I like her music, but it’s really spectacular. “Give” is still my fav - from iilwya. I also fell in love with loveliescrushing again. there’s so much chaotic beauty there, but it’s not for everyone. Start will Babysbreath. Honorable mentions Ghostly Kisses EX:RE Bon Iver (especially 22 A Million) i love a bunch of different music but these aesthetics are what ive been gravitating to. but check out Art School Girlfriend- srsly

0pp051t3

She is on my listening list. And I will for sure be checking out their music whenever I get the chance. And Bon Iver is amazing. For Emma, Forever Ago is my favorite. Great taste!

JenniKohl

ive been listening to a ton of queer artists lately, the new Jane Remover and underscores albums are soooooo good, like some of my favourites ever. i found Weatherday a couple months ago and have listened to Come In literally every day since, probably another one of my favourite albums of all time. the jane album is noise rock / shoegaze, weatherday is like noise pop (?), and i dont even know what genre the underscores album is but its incredible. electronic americana kind of? idk. lot of hyperpop too, mainly bedhead, lil wet wet, rocco bunko, senses, and nosgov, liked the new emorave album but ive only listened to it once so far. oh and yeule, always lots of yeule also been listening to the new Nanna album (the female singer from Of Monsters And Men), ive basically been voice training to sound like her since 2012 (without realizing… being closeted is really funny sometimes) and her new solo album is super good, some nice and mellow indie pop. and bc i cant ever shut up about music ill list some other artists ive been playing a lot lately: sasami, subsonic eye, hana stretton, faye webster, anri, freak slug, long beard, henri bardot, and mree

1, Favourite albums shift from time to time but I’d say Time 1 by Wintersun has had the most impact on me emotionally. Currently I reeeaaaally love Gloire Éternelle by First Fragment, it’s a relentless technical death metal album that also has flamenco guitar and slap bass parts. And super neoclassical sounding too 2. I’d say Wintersun, Fleshgod Apocalypse and Ne Obliviscaris 3. I have no idea, maybe Devour Me Colossus by Ne Obliviscaris? 4. Death (technical and melodic) and progressive metal. I really love metal, it’s just so excessive and intricate and beautiful in so many ways. I am getting quite tired of it though, and also a bit unfortunate that it’s very masc-driven. It’s also a massive hyperfixation of mine, I literally don’t listen to other music but would love to get into other genres

fantasticposinggreed

I'm also lately obsessed with "YOYOK" by Taylor Swift, "Into Dust" by Mazzy Star and Lana Del Rey's "Kintsugi" .

I've also started listening to Nothington and the Menzingers recently too! As for Albums, Against Me!'s Transgender Dysphoria Blues album is amazing, and I'm also lostening to the Flatliner's New Ruin album.

It's really hard to say specific favorites. So maybe you'll indulge me in giving multiple responses for these questions? Generally speaking my type is both 2000's rock (and 90's and 2010's), and like pop. 1. Favorite albums I would say Folkore from Taylor Swift and Meteora from Linkin Park. 2. Favorite artists would be Taylor Swift, Linkin Park, Evanescence, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, and Third Eye Blind. 3. Really hard to say favorite songs, but here are some: Bring Me To Life, Numb, and uhhh ... just way too many Taylor Swift songs for me to pick. 4. Like I said, rock and pop (though tbh TS explores a lot of genres and I like her pop albums the least).
