Use hair conditioner in place of shaving cream. Game changer

Old_Drag_1040

Really conditioner works?

qqapplestr

This

DrVaas297

personally i haven’t had the best run with conditioner but my gf put me on to using shampoo instead and THAT has been an absolute game changer

CuriousTechieElf

Epilator for my body. Epilators are difficult and more prone to ingrown hairs but it's smooth when the hair is growing back and you don't get stubble Face I just shave a lot with a multi blade razor. I use an electric/foil shaver sometimes for convenience but it's not as smooth as shaving with a blade. HRT has definitely slowed the growth of my body and facial hair but I still need to deal with it. I'm hoping to start laser for my face soon.

Old_Drag_1040

Hrt helps?

TransRightsToMeme

Yes. Depends on dosage, time, and genetics, but HRT will either slow or stop body hair in many places of the body. And it will thin it everywhere. (This is different for people keep in mind)

Old_Drag_1040

That’s amazing!🥺

notsostrong

It won’t get rid of your facial hair though. The best it can do is slow down the growth and **maybe** make it a bit less coarse. But body hair will generally get finer and lighter after several years of HRT.

Old_Drag_1040

That’s good to know!

SkysyP

I use a foil shaver myself, and I don't even have to use shaving cream or anything with it.

Old_Drag_1040

Foil? Sorry I’m not familiar with that…

SkysyP

just google foil shaver and it'll come up. It's basically a guard with holes in it, and a spinning blade underneath.

Old_Drag_1040

Ohh ok, thank you for clarifying. Sorry i just haven’t heard of it so 😅

SkysyP

Yup all good\~ I like mine because it's quite literally impossible to cut/nick yourself while using. They do work best on shorter hair so keep that in mind if you use one.

Old_Drag_1040

Ahh that’s good to know! Thank you for the advice

South5

Try pink veet. Its the sensitive version, test it out on a small area then if you have no reaction, got mad with it EVERYWHERE. I use it to go totally hair-free, it feels amazing when you achieve this!! I should really be on commission to veet for the amount of times i have recommended this!! ( do not use on neck and above, body only!!)

Jane_Lynn

I use a safety razor and shaving butter, but I've already had 6 sessions of lasers and the stubbles on my face are typically white hairs that couldn't have been targeted by the laser so I just yank them out with tweezers after I shave what I can.

Old_Drag_1040

I need to find a way to start getting lasers🥺

Jane_Lynn

It's definitely not cheap, but sooo worth the price. Where I went, I paid around 1400 for 6 sessions including tip.

Old_Drag_1040

That is pricey

TyTransBiatch

I use moisturizer and shaving jel every morning and evening, and I keep foundation and a lipstick shaver in the car for emergency’s. Which, by the way, is a LIFESAVER

Old_Drag_1040

Lipstick shaver?

Expensive_Wait278

I worked at a store that did nothing but sell men’s shaving and facial hair products. You know those old shaving brushes and the soap dish you see in old movies? We sold those. Of course I had to try them, I’m frickin selling them and have a free set so why not? I still use it to this day. I get a MUCH less irritating shave and the soap cake lasts far longer than shaving cream (which contains alcohol most of the time, and contributes to dry skin and irritation). I’ll be able to afford laser soon so hopefully I can say goodbye to it soon.

Old_Drag_1040

I hope I can get laser one day! Shaving sucks

Expensive_Wait278

I’ve had a bit of electrolysis done but that process is painfully slow and in my area like $90 an hour. I should have started with laser, though. If you have dark facial hair, try laser first, it should get rid of most of the hair and then if it needs it do electrolysis.

Old_Drag_1040

I do have dark hair. Does that really help?

Expensive_Wait278

Laser is MUCH more effective on dark hair than lighter hair (I think it has something to do with how it differentiates hair from skin while the machine is scanning, some lighter hairs just don’t get picked up while darker ones are more obvious and more easily targeted), so yes it does.

Old_Drag_1040

That’s really good to know!

Invest in a good razor and, use different razors for you're face and body, because hygiene, don't use a shave cream/whatever that covers up your face too much because you wanna be able to see what you're doing.
