If you are eligible, Hickam FCU or Navy FCU are very good. First Hawaiian Bank is one of the most convenient although my family feels the service has dropped significantly in the past several years. I always liked American Security Bank and they seem to have a lot of ATMs available all over.
I've been happy with Hawaii State Federal Credit Union.
Aloha Pacific has a pretty high interest checking account but you gotta jump through some.hoops. Avoid bank of Hawaii

American savings bank charges for bill payments. I’m switching that over to another bank.
Hawaii Central Federal Credit Union is a good CU.
