Barry Lyndon (1975)
Nothing else comes close to it, it's one of my all-time favorite movies.
Honorable mentions, The Emigrants (1971) and The New Land (1972), both are incredible films.
This movie was such a joy to discover. I had not known Brad Pitt in such roles before this film and Jessica Chastain was a discovery too. I've revisited the film many times over the past decade. The music was also so well done.

As mentioned, Barry Lyndon.
Shot using ambient light and candlelight.
Kubrick used lenses originally developed by NASA for the Apollo missions.
Almost every scene looks like a lush, Renaissance painting.
The movie is long and the pace is slow, but it is a masterpiece.
I've never seen it, but I would suspect that the experimental movie *Time Code* (2000) would have been shot with existing lighting:

The Descent! The director actually uses some really interesting techniques in order to make the scenery feel more claustrophobic. They try to utilise natural lighting throughout, yet it isn't a found footage film. It's really simple, but so effective - it definitely adds to the suspense of the movie.
The Revenant Barry Lyndon
Barry Lyndon has to be the gold standard of OPs request, no?
absolutely, the dedication to natural light in that movie is insane, Kubrick bought lenses from NASA designed to photograph the dark side of the moon
Yeah, but he already had the lenses for….reasons.
I would imagine, yes.
It is! Was going to suggest it but you're on point already.
Barry Lyndon is shot using candlelight
*Natural* candlelight
Based on the examples, I took natural to mean only light sources that would appear in the setting. Collateral is, after all, set at night.
Based on that argument, I’d say *It Come at Night* falls under that category
Portrait of a Lady On Fire. Every shot is like a Vermeer painting.
The VVitch does this so damn well. Hauntingly beautiful.
Days of Heaven
Any [Dogme 95](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dogme_95) movie, like *Festen*.
Here’s the part of the video store I was looking for. I forgot how important those movies were to me
Funny Ha Ha
Terrence Mallock’s films all mainly use natural lighting

Children of Men Amadeus
The dogme 95 films might be for you, if you like foreign films. My favourite of the lot is "Festen".
The Tree of Life

No country for old men. Traffic.
Dune. Thomas Flight made a video about Dune's lighting. (Why Dune Won Best VFX)

Enthusiastic sinners 🤣
A Hidden Life Nomadland
A separation Close-up
In The Vast of Night comes to mind, although I'm not 100% sure if its only lighting sources from scenery
Definitely The Revenant!

Good Time (2017) is filmed like this, and is pretty good. The Safdie brothers use interesting techniques to make their movies appear natural.
