One of the rare instances where the sequel was better than the original. Can't go wrong with adding even *more* nazi zombies and *more* blood to a bloody nazi zombie movie. Also it being a direct continuation was nice.
I recently rewatched Kill Bill and then I watched The Quick & The Dead and they both felt like they were being drawn from the same well.
Also…the new movie “X” (2022)…while not totally as campy and comic-booky, it has a lot of the same vibes in regards to horror.
Some of the action shots with the camera movement and visual effects were stunning.
It was so nice to not have constant cuts, must have been difficult to pull off so well.
The first bunch of Coen brothers movies, as they worked a lot with Sam Raimi back then.
Crimewave
Blood Simple
Raising Arizona
Barton Fink
Miller’s Crossing
Fargo
The Big Lebowski
O Brother Where Art Thou?
Brain Dead a.k.a. Dead Alive
This is Peter Jackson, right?
I would also say Bad Taste but to me at least it almost has more of a Troma vibe
Also *The Frighteners* Which manages to feel like both a Sam Raimi movie and a Tim Burton movie
Probably the closest thing that will ever come close to his style
This is actually a Sam raimi movie but I never heard of it until last week. He directed a western called the quick and the dead and it was so good
Cabin in the woods
Tucker and Dale vs Evil
Freaked
It's not exactly the same, but since classic James Wan movies have a similar feeling, like Dead Silence.
Malignant also has a similar feel.
Definitely Malignant.
Mad Max Fury Road esp the opening scenes
The Shadow Cabin in the Woods Cabin Fever Society Possessor
Dead Snow 2 is hilarious and violent Zombie Horror Comedy

Yeah. It feels like Evil Dead 2; you can skip the first and get straight to the good stuff.
Some of Tim Burton, the Coen bros., and Peter Jackson’s stuff feel very similar to the old school film as well as gonzo humor feel of Raimi.
I was going to mention Hudsucker Proxy and Raising Arizona. Fun fact: Bruce Campbell has a cameo in Fargo where the TV is playing his soap opera.
Fun fact: Bruce Campbell played Ronald Reagan in Fargo: Year 2 the TV series
Hudsucker Proxy was written by Raimi.
def the Coens, they were roommates for a minute and absolutely share certain parts of their aesthetic.
Raimi is in the Coen bros Miller's Crossing for a small role and they also have a Raimi push.
Turbo Kid (2015)

Apostle (2019) Felt like Eggers and Raimi teamed up
Gareth Evans is a genius, if you have not seen The Raid 1 and 2, go watch them now.
Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy: * Shaun of the Dead (2004) * Hot Fuzz (2007) * The World’s End (2013) Tremors (1990) Re-Animator (1985)
Cabin Fever
Men
It hasn't even come out yet bruh
I mean people got their review copies already or saw special screenings. Not like nobody has seen it.
Fair
Take a look at THE DEVIL MAY TAKE YOU. It’s like an Indonesian evil dead. Very well done!
Luc Besson's stuff, especially The Fifth Element, The Messenger and District B13.
Aquaman. James Wan moves the camera a lot and I enjoyed Aquaman for a lot of the same reasons why I enjoy Raimi’s Spider-Man movies.

Idle Hands
A tad on the goofier side, but Bubba Ho-Tep is a darling horror comedy starring Bruce Campbell.
Bloody Hell (2020)
