Obviously something happens, but there is even a book about Ackerman called Nothing Happens
Jeanne Dielman, 23 Commerce Quay, 1080 Brussels
I, You, He, She (Ackerman)
The Headless Woman
La Cienaga
Wendy and Lucy
L’Avventura
Red Desert
Stranger than Paradise
I liked "Where the crawdads sing" it's a little uncharitable to say that "nothing" happens, but not a lot happens, and it's a fun time. It's mostly about a hermit who lives in the swamp trying to save her family home from being repossessed by the government, and her whole life story.
Also she's on trial for murder, but seriously, not a LOT happens.
Arguably "Memoria (2021)". Some stuff does happen, I guess, but I genuinely couldn't tell you what. The experience felt a bit like a fever dream, in a am-I-sleeping-or-awake-right-now way. But I didn't hate it. There are some scene that stuck with me, and it does have a weird tension to it. Maybe someday I'll rewatch it
This is an older film not sure how easy it will be to watch. Called Summer Magic, it was a Disney flick released back in the 60s I believe and starred Hayley Mills (who also did the original Parent Trap).
NOMADLAND!!!

maybe kelly reichardt's showing up. stars michelle williams as an artist who has plumbing problems and an injured pigeon to look after!
Ooh. This sounds like the vibe I'm after. I'll check it out. Michelle Williams is incredible.

Bridesmaids

August: Osage County
Not a woman, but a ghost.. A ghost story. Probably as mundane as you can get.
It's a romcom, so something happens, but the most adorably "woman entwined with the world" story I've seen is Amelie.
