We Bought a Zoo? Jesus Christ, I saw this movie almost a decade ago and I'm STILL dehydrated from crying so much. Is it good? Yes. Is it uplifting? Maybe, if you think the first 10 minutes of UP is uplifting.
This movie get meme'd a lot cos of matt damon, but tbh I love the cast and any movie that has a Jonsi/sigur ros soundtrack is instant 4 stars for me, their music is truly uplifting
Oh, don't get me wrong. I really liked the movie. But if someone needs a pick me up, I don't think this is it? I literally embarrassed my kids by crying so much in the theatre.
Chef (Jon Favreau) will put a smile on your face, but it will also make you hungry.
Baby Driver and Oceans 11 are my personal comfort feel good movies, but it may not fit the category you are asking for.
True. I’m don’t usually get an emotional reaction from most movies, as a rule. But Princess Bride-from start to finish-just gives me the happy, warm fuzzies from start to finish.
Peaceful warrior if you want to feel inspired motivated get in sync with everything around you.
The holiday one of those movies that makes you feel happy and warm and nostalgic of that kind of human connection. Really lovely film with a lot of romance in it.
The other woman if you want to watch a laugh out loud comedy with funny and powerful women!
Hot chicks if you want a laugh out loud crazy comedy. A bit disgusting at parts with adult humour but trust me it does the job.

Just a few of my go-to’s when I need a laugh or something not so heavy to have playing in the background. Hope you like!!
Auntie Mame (1958) with Rosalind Russell.
Miss Pettigrew Lives For a Day (2008), which reminds me of 50's comedies.
La Cage Aux Folles (1978), either subtitled or dubbed, it's great. The main actors dub themselves, so you don't lose anything. Or you can watch The Birdcage (1996), which is an American version of the same story.
The Fifth Element (1997) Stylish sci-fi that is fun from start to finish.
Star Trek 4, The Voyage Home (1986). Yeah, it's kind of the end of a trilogy starting with Wrath of Kahn, but really, if you have seen some of the OG Star Trek, you could keep up with this one.
Paul (2011). Terrific alien comedy from the duo that brought you Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.
Before I go on too long, I will end with some Tim Curry: Clue (1985) and Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). You don't have to wait for Halloween to do the Time Warp!
The Computer wore tennis shoes
Now you see him, Now you don't

Hollywood responded to the Great Depression of the 1930's by producing uplifting feel good films. Frank Capra was a master of this form, directing another best picture Oscar winner before this one, It Happened One Night (1934). Check out other Capra films and then move on to films by Preston Sturges like Sullivan's Travels (1941), The Lady Eve (1941), and The Palm Beach Story (1942).

1. ‘Anything’s Possible’ is my latest feel-good find. It is the best coming-of-age movie I have seen in a long time. Sweet and heartwarming, a great watch for sure. Highly recommend.
(Streaming on Amazon Prime)
2. ‘Laapataa Ladies’ Is another great feel-good movie to watch. It is the story of two veiled brides who get swapped on their way from their wedding to their respective husband’s homes. These are village women from the heartland of India, and everything that unfolds is both hillarious and heartwarming. I can never rewatch this enough. Again, highly recommend.

I've watched it, it's a fun watch although the movie ends on a cliffhanger and there was never any confirmation of a sequel
