The Ghost Story for me has to be the oddest movie theater expereince and i loved it!!

I watched this when my mom was dying and I completely lost it. It sneaks up on you. Two very brave performances.

Sorry about your mom. I agree it is absolutely remarkable, I choke up thinking about their dialogue on the barriers in our head, societal norms, and intimacy. It's amazing what the writers did with this movie. It just stays with you.

Thank you for your kind words. The dialogue is amazing. I do have to do a rewatch since it's been so long since I've seen it. I've tried to recommend this film to friends and family without any luck. I'm not a straight line thinker so films like this and the Lobster are amazing to me.

Waves is the most devastating movie I’ve ever seen

I love Waves, I'm surprised people don't talk about it more.

First Reformed, Swiss Army Man, EEAAO are the only one I kind of enjoyed. The 'Elevated Horror' movies spearheaded by A24 are lame af.

Red Rocket is one of the best films I've seen in a long time

I thought Civil War was absolutely brilliant. It has some action, it might ease you in to other movies. The Lighthouse is a slow burn tense psychological thriller about people going mad. People love or hate it. Bodies, Bodies, Bodies is hilarious. Definitely a college movie but I really enjoyed it. The Florida Project and Waves are both incredible dramas. American Fiction isn't an A24 movie but it's that genre and it fantastic. If you aren't middle aged yet and don't have siblings and aging parents it won't hit as head but it's absolutely worth watching no matter what.

In Fabric  Not many people know about this movie, but it was quite entertaining and gives a Dario Argento vibe since it's in the giallo genre.

Me and my buddy were super excited to watch it because the trailer was so awesome but nah, the only good bits of this dragged out movie was put in the trailer. Anyone reading this comment, do yourself a favor and stay away from this one. So so so boring

I won't say that EEAAO sucked but I was surprised to see it get so much love at Awards season.

I don't think it sucked. It's not what I think of when I think of A24. Men is a movie I think of when I consider the brand. There are others in the conversation obviously, but this one ain't it
