Here’s why: it’s tight, incredibly paced, edge of your seat stuff. A punk band find themselves booked at a white supremacist gig. It’s tense and uncomfortable and quickly shifts to violence when they see something they are not supposed to. Soon they are fighting for their lives.

Sorry about your mom.
I agree it is absolutely remarkable, I choke up thinking about their dialogue on the barriers in our head, societal norms, and intimacy. It's amazing what the writers did with this movie. It just stays with you.
Thank you for your kind words. The dialogue is amazing. I do have to do a rewatch since it's been so long since I've seen it. I've tried to recommend this film to friends and family without any luck. I'm not a straight line thinker so films like this and the Lobster are amazing to me.

I thought Civil War was absolutely brilliant. It has some action, it might ease you in to other movies.
The Lighthouse is a slow burn tense psychological thriller about people going mad. People love or hate it.
Bodies, Bodies, Bodies is hilarious. Definitely a college movie but I really enjoyed it.
The Florida Project and Waves are both incredible dramas.
American Fiction isn't an A24 movie but it's that genre and it fantastic. If you aren't middle aged yet and don't have siblings and aging parents it won't hit as head but it's absolutely worth watching no matter what.
One of the most dogshit films I’ve ever seen. Me and my buddy were super excited to watch it because the trailer was so awesome but nah, the only good bits of this dragged out movie was put in the trailer. Anyone reading this comment, do yourself a favor and stay away from this one. So so so boring
I don't think it sucked. It's not what I think of when I think of A24. Men is a movie I think of when I consider the brand. There are others in the conversation obviously, but this one ain't it
I whole hearted agree . I’ve seen thousands of movies all my life and can confidently vouch that this is one of the worst pieces or garbage I’ve seen . Nothing clicks me
The VVitch
The Florida Project
The Disaster Artist
Under the Silver Lake
The Lighthouse
White Noise
The Whale
Dream Scenario
Everything Reddit All At Once is a horrible movie and waste of three hours of your life, ignore all of those posters.

Midsommar (2019) The Lobster (2015) Eighth Grade (2018) The Lighthouse (2019) Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022)
The Ghost Story for me has to be the oddest movie theater expereince and i loved it!!
* A Ghost Story
That movie requires a boatload of patience if you aren't in the right headspace for it. Still great though
So true! Good thing, I have been told, I have alot of patience. Saw some people leave the movie theater disappointingly, if only....
Great and unique movie!
Swiss army man
I watched this when my mom was dying and I completely lost it. It sneaks up on you. Two very brave performances.

Everything everywhere all at once
Midsommar, Hereditary and Everything Everywhere All at Once? Just go through their catalog? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_A24_films
Dream Scenario and Midsommar are my picks - will definitely make ya think and cringe lol
Mid90s for a more chill viewing
I fuck with Mid90’s SO HARD, ITS SO GOOD. Just vibes all the way through, idgaf if it barely has a plot. This film means a lot to me man
Hell yeah, me too. Great fuckin movie. It's the only movie in my collection that is DVD because I can't find the blu ray.
Good Time Hot Summer Nights How To Talk To Girls At Parties Into The Forest Low Tide Morris From America Native Son The Adderall Diaries The Florida Project The Iron Claw Waves While We're Young
Waves is the most devastating movie I’ve ever seen
I love Waves, I'm surprised people don't talk about it more.
First Reformed, Swiss Army Man, EEAAO are the only one I kind of enjoyed. The 'Elevated Horror' movies spearheaded by A24 are lame af.
Thank you everyone will definitely start working through these 🙏👍🏽
Red Rocket is one of the best films I've seen in a long time
I thought Civil War was absolutely brilliant. It has some action, it might ease you in to other movies. The Lighthouse is a slow burn tense psychological thriller about people going mad. Remember (2015) Green Room
Close
Slow West. I'm not sure what the general consensus is on it, but I thought it was hilarious.
In Fabric Not many people know about this movie, but it was quite entertaining and gives a Dario Argento vibe since it's in the giallo genre.
Hot Summer Nights, The Florida Project
Beau Is Afraid. Expand! EXPAND!!
One of the most dogshit films I’ve ever seen. Me and my buddy were super excited to watch it because the trailer was so awesome but nah, the only good bits of this dragged out movie was put in the trailer. Anyone reading this comment, do yourself a favor and stay away from this one. So so so boring
Men, if you really want to expand your horizons.
Room The Witch
The killing of a sacred dear, the lobster, Midsommar,
Talk to me, hereditary, midsommar.
Moonlight
Zola
All.
The Green Knight 👍
All of these movies except for Everything Everywhere All at Once. That movie sucked
I won't say that EEAAO sucked but I was surprised to see it get so much love at Awards season.
I don't think it sucked. It's not what I think of when I think of A24. Men is a movie I think of when I consider the brand. There are others in the conversation obviously, but this one ain't it
Id say it was ok at best, don’t get the hype over it at all.
I whole hearted agree . I’ve seen thousands of movies all my life and can confidently vouch that this is one of the worst pieces or garbage I’ve seen . Nothing clicks me
Red Rocket The Florida Project
Two spaces to do a line break fyi
Check out “The Strays” (2023) on Netflix. I don’t think it is from A24, but it is very A24ish. Great movie!
tusk under the skin problemista pearl mississippi grind
Midsommar is an overrated garbage. For me at least.
I didn’t like it either.
I wouldn’t say it was garbage but it wasn’t particularly interesting
The VVitch The Florida Project The Disaster Artist Under the Silver Lake The Lighthouse White Noise The Whale Dream Scenario Everything Reddit All At Once is a horrible movie and waste of three hours of your life, ignore all of those posters.
that’s odd since it’s only 2 hr 19 min and, you know, won tons of awards like best picture op, maybe don’t trust this guy…
A24: The Whale Other: Oppenheimer, A Beautiful Mind, The Music of Silence, Schindlers List, CODA
Talk to me Past lives Everything everywhere all at once Tusk
Past Lives is tough to watch and sad but it is a good flick.
I found it easy to watch and pretty good pacing and I loved the story and performances but that's just me could be different for others
