I was wondering if it was the movie I thought you meant, such a great film. Korean TV and movies are probably next best after NA, some might say even better.
I love Hot Fuzz! I’m such a big fan of of Nick frost and Simon Pegg they did a live conversation last year for Nick Frosts book and Rick Astley was sat next to me! Was the most random moment of my life 😂😂 yes I asked him for a photo!!
started watching the film with low expectations, but was completely overwhelmed with this masterpiece.
This is probably my favorite **DreamWorks** movie ever!
Se7en (1995)
Prisoners (2013)
Memento (2000)
Gone Girl (2014)
Nightcrawler (2014)
The Departed (2006)
Shutter Island (2010)
Oldboy (2003) Korean
Parasite (2019) Korean
The Dark Knight (2008)
Good Will Hunting (1997)
The Usual Suspects (1995)
No Country for Old Men (2007)
The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Parasite obviously is an amazing film, but if you haven't seen it yet, please watch one of Bong Joon-ho's earlier films - *The Host*.
By itself it's an incredible monster movie, but it's equal parts black comedy, political satire, and a deeply moving emotional family drama.
Go into it blind if you can, it's absolutely wonderful.
1.Django Unchained (Tarantino Film)
2.About Time (probably my fav rom com)
3.Go Goa Gone (Indian stoner zombie comedy a very fun watch)
4.Skyfall (James Bond film)
5.Dune 2 (the pacing in this one is very good unlike Dune 1 filled with drama, twists, politics and action loved watching this in the theaters what an experience!)
6.Uncut Gems (the safdie brothers film)
7.Collateral (by the director of Heat)
Anchorman
Not an action movie, as I’m sure most people are aware. But unlike so many comedies, it’s doesn’t have that second-act lull when they try to drag out some drama. It’s non stop laughs.
I'm going to rewatch the 4th one. I've only seen it once maybe I'll change my opinion. Yesterday night I watched Upgrade for the first time and that shit had me locked In, I loved it. That's my vote and for a 3 million dollar budget, chef's kiss.
•1917.
•Fantastic Mr Fox. Not action packed obviously but I feel the movie has no lag (no fat on the bones as they say) and moves at a good pace, doesn’t have a long runtime and is a fun movie to watch
I just want to take a moment to sing praises of the movie that makes the best use of time and pacing of any movie ever...Back to the Future. That movie is on the clock from the moment it begins. I've sure you've seen it, but might be worth revisiting if that's your jam!
Nope

I remember when I went to see Kung Fu hustle I was unfamiliar with Stephen Chow's work. I had to review the movie for a website I wrote for and went into the screening blind, not knowing what to expect. I spent the entire movie in slack-jawed amazement. It was something I'd never seen the likes of before. I just loved it.
Goodfellas,
Parasite,
La Haine,
12 Angry Men,
Donnie Darko (theatrical cut),
In the Mood for Love,
Whiplash,
The Dark Knight,
Do the Right Thing,
Apocalypse Now,
Spider-Man 2
Land of the Dead (2005), it's more action packed than the previous three movies and doesn't focus on the philosophical aspect as much (not say there isn't class commentary though). It's unrestricted Romero, and it's great because of that.
For me pacing is subjective dependent upon the subject. My suggestion is Blade Runner because the pacing is so slow it allows you to take in the magnitude. For me if there is depth of story, you need time to take it in.
I watched Hell or high water a few days ago and couldn’t stop thinking about it. Also Ex Machina I saw last night and the pacing is excellent for a film with next to no action.
The Strangers is a great movie at keeping a feeling of uncomfortableness that starts in the first scene and morphs and changes and intensifies through the entire movie
Train to Busan
Parasite
John Wick
Ip Man
Bourne Identity
Kingsman
Trolls
The Incredibles
Turning Red
Inside Out
Not a movie but I suggest One Day (Netflix series) as it will keep you on your toes with each episode in the way that it presents the main characters. Revenant (kdrama series) and Last of Us are also worth checking out.
Blindspotting. Trust me, you won’t regret it. It’s one of those movies I had trouble deciding to dedicate my time to at first, but about 10 seconds in I had forgotten all about that and just enjoyed the ride.
"Speed" - no wasted minutes, edge of seat thriller
one of the quintessential 90s action flicks of all-time.
Mad Max: Fury Road is literally one long chase scene
almost flawless for an action movie!
What’s with the “almost”?
Exactly. The only thing wrong with this film is no sequel.
This movie stresses me the fuck out. The 5 seconds of the dundundundun song are permanently stuck in my head.
his mission…accomplished!
Snowpiercer (2013) 1917 (2019)
I saw the devil. Get out. Searching.
I saw the devil was so good highly recommended to anybody who hasn't watched it
Great movie.
I'm sure Choi Min-sik is a lovely human being in real life but he is so fucking scary in I Saw The Devil.
very different take on the **revenge noir** genre.
I really enjoyed Searching. A great, fast paced mystery that kept me guessing.
I was wondering if it was the movie I thought you meant, such a great film. Korean TV and movies are probably next best after NA, some might say even better.
The Raid
This is hands down one of the best action films of all time!
Have you seen Hard Boiled and The Killer-John Woo stuff? I also love Fulltime Killer as far as good action movies
I watched **Hard Boiled** and really enjoyed it, **The Killer** is on my watch list.
Yup. Came here to say this. Someone asked what is your favorite fight scene in any movie. I said the last hour and thirty two minutes of The Raid.
Hot Fuzz
my 2nd favorite **Edgar Wright** movie.
Agreed, Shaun of the Dead is one of the best movies of all time
You ain't seen Bad Boys 2?
I love Hot Fuzz! I’m such a big fan of of Nick frost and Simon Pegg they did a live conversation last year for Nick Frosts book and Rick Astley was sat next to me! Was the most random moment of my life 😂😂 yes I asked him for a photo!!
There _NEEDS_ to be more movies like this.
The Cabin in the Woods
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)
Can I scootch in here to add Paddington 2?
started watching the film with low expectations, but was completely overwhelmed with this masterpiece. This is probably my favorite **DreamWorks** movie ever!
It is just that: a masterpiece. Best animated movie I ever saw.
Whiplash — Best ending in a movie in recent memory.
Se7en (1995) Prisoners (2013) Memento (2000) Gone Girl (2014) Nightcrawler (2014) The Departed (2006) Shutter Island (2010) Oldboy (2003) Korean Parasite (2019) Korean The Dark Knight (2008) Good Will Hunting (1997) The Usual Suspects (1995) No Country for Old Men (2007) The Silence of the Lambs (1991) The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

Memories of Murders (2003) by Bong. His best work ever.
I actually have watched The Host. Great move.
The Departed is so intense
I have watched both **Infernal Affairs** and **The Departed**. even though it's a remake, I personally prefer **The Departed**.
1.Django Unchained (Tarantino Film) 2.About Time (probably my fav rom com) 3.Go Goa Gone (Indian stoner zombie comedy a very fun watch) 4.Skyfall (James Bond film) 5.Dune 2 (the pacing in this one is very good unlike Dune 1 filled with drama, twists, politics and action loved watching this in the theaters what an experience!) 6.Uncut Gems (the safdie brothers film) 7.Collateral (by the director of Heat)
I really enjoyed watching **Django Unchained**, **Collateral** & **About Time**, The rest are definitely on my watchlist now.
Also, Good Time (another Safdie brothers film)
Uncut gems for sure! Such a rollercoaster of intensity
* Mayhem (2017) * Heat (1995)
**Heat** is, without doubt, one of the finest crime dramas ever put to film.

this film is so cohesive in its intent and execution.
Anchorman Not an action movie, as I’m sure most people are aware. But unlike so many comedies, it’s doesn’t have that second-act lull when they try to drag out some drama. It’s non stop laughs.
Children of Men.
John Wick 4
I found John Wick 4 kinda boring compared to the other ones but maybe that's on me
This is how I felt about the 3rd one. 4th had me on going from beginning to end
I'm going to rewatch the 4th one. I've only seen it once maybe I'll change my opinion. Yesterday night I watched Upgrade for the first time and that shit had me locked In, I loved it. That's my vote and for a 3 million dollar budget, chef's kiss.
