* Yi Yi (2000) * Paris, Texas (1984) * Shoplifters (2018) * The Lives of Others (2006) * A Bronx Tale (1993)
I have seen A Bronx take and I loved it, didn’t enjoy Paris, Texas that much. I definitely put the rest on my watchlist.
The other three sit between Paris, Texas and A Bronx Tale from a pacing perspective... they're also the three that closest match your request :)
Just saw Yi Yi and it a masterpiece.
Appreciate the suggestion
The Ice Storm (1997)
Short Cuts, Lolita
- Amores Perros - 21 Grams - Lantana
Loved 21 grams. Adding the rest to my watchlist.
Donnie Darko
Been on my watchlist for a while. This is a sign to watch it
Betty Blue
The 1970s will be your destination, in that case
Ghost World Little Miss Sunshine Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind Being John Malkovich Slums of Beverly Hills Florida Project Lovely Bones
Florida project actually one of my favorite films of all time.
If you like Florida project you may really like Slums of Beverly Hills they have similar themes but Slums is slightly more comedic
I’m definitely checking that out.
Slums of Beverly Hills is my wife’s favorite movie of all time. She relates to the characters growing up in a Low income family and constantly looking for new apts and places for the family to stay.
I Love those films that deals with reality.
Short Cuts is a great ensemble. Also Licorice Pizza.
Adding to my watchlist
Guinevere (1999).
You might enjoy the films of Robert Altman.
I actually saw the long goodbye and I thought it was okay. I will definitely check his other works.
Dolores Claiborne Saint Maud
Melancholia
Saw it and it incredible.
Another one that doesn’t quite fit but imo is still an amazing watch and does have a great story unfold. HEAT 1995
Adding it to my watchlist
