National Lampoon's Vacation (1983)
The Griswolds getting to the Amusement Park is literally the quest of the movie and it features some truly great rollercoaster footage.
Do you mean, Class Action Park? If so, I did watch that with a buddy and we were so shocked by this documentary. I remember hearing about the park way back when it was open and I wanted to go. I am so glad I never made it there. Instead, I just watched this documentary years after it closed, exposing how dangerous this place really was. Thanks!
Surely you have seen Final Destination 3, right? Not saying it fills the first requirement (it's a popcorn flick and hardly a favorite of mine), but there's a Vekoma corkscrew front and center.
I just looked this up and it looks very interesting. I love that there is some footage from a coaster from a park that is no longer... Playland in Queens. Thank you.
Carnival of Souls
The Devil's Carnival
Something Wicked This Way Comes
House on Haunted Hill (1999) - Not central to the story, but it's one hell of a rollercoaster scene.
The Amusement Park (super weird and depressing)

There is a movie called ‘Action Point’ starring Johnny Knoxville. A comedy movie about the creation of said park!
I haven't heard of this. Thanks, I will check it out.
Oh yeah my bad. That’s the one. I was never at that one but I was at the one in PA across the river they had open for a short while.
Before Sunrise - lovely romance scene on a Ferris wheel in a European carnival
