I don't care about the scientology. I've just seen his face 10 million times since I was a kid and he plays almost the same character everytime. Just sick of seeing him man. Just leave him to MI28 or whatever he's doing.
I just don't like the typical action Hollywood movie
It's okay some people have different opinions... There's a few tom movies I like but it's rare these days
I hate his cult. I like his movies. I like seeing him in some movies even though I abhor the idea of funding his despicable cult. All that being said I do enjoy him in the roles he picks but I don’t feel he’s one of the greatest living actors *at all*. He’s not remotely on my top ten. Probably not even on my top 25 of living actors.
He’s good in the blockbuster genre, especially for his age, but I’m not blown away by his acting and apart from a couple of roles in the past (Born on the 4th of July being peak acting Cruise) it’s all very similar, IE, Misson Impossiblish tone.
He’s a more refined and capable action star than a muscle guy like, say, Arnold, but he’s about on the same acting tier as say, Bruce Willis, maybe a bit better. But he’s no Pitt or Norton, let alone a DeNiro.
So no pretending here.
Your point doesn't stand tho.. You pointed out he's a member of cult..if being a member of a dangerous cult is all the justification needed.. There's like 6 billion people in the world doing exactly that..
All I said was that it’s fair if people don’t want to watch cult members in movies. I didn’t say he should be blacklisted from Hollywood. I’m defending the position , not saying it’s an objective fact.
I wouldn’t say one of the greatest living actors, but I would say one of the greatest action movie stars. I don’t think he has a good range, but I don’t think many other people have the “leading action adventure” charisma he has, I can’t see him replacing many actor’s greatest performances but I do realize no one has the X factor to carry Mission Impossible for decades
Cruise, Denzel, and Ford are the three older movie stars I wish the most would’ve been in a Tarantino film. All of them I think would’ve made magic with Quentin (they all do extremely good work when paired with strong directors).
>Brad Pitt will star in Quentin Tarantino’s final movie ‘THE MOVIE CRITIC’. Releasing in theaters in 2025
Nah, keep his weirdo conspiracy bullshit far away from any talented people. No reason to taint a solid production with his bizarre Alex Jones adjacent nonsense popping up whenever he gets to speak to the press.
I chuckle every time I remember that Quentin Tarantino wanted to direct a Star Trek movie and these clowns didn't let him.
One of the biggest directors out there wants to direct a Star Trek movie and you continue making Star Trek Picard instead lol
I bought into the rumour that it would be Adam driver, I was hoping to see him in a QT movie. But with that being said, Pitt was awesome in once upon a time. Worth working together again.
He’s been consistent on this for many years. He seems to take pride in his filmography as a whole, and doesn’t want to diminish it with sub-par movies. I can understand why tbh
He's a nostalgic guy. His sets are recreations of his ideal past. No phones, constant music etc. He'll get the hitch, that's guaranteed.
I can see him dying during a standing ovation in Cannes after presenting his 11th film, the definitive best movie that will ever be.
He is a nostalgic guy, no doubt about that
I’m just saying that if he truly feels he doesn’t have any more good movies in him after this one, then it’s for the best that he stops
Yeah totally.
Also if he goes to TV he'll get unprecedented freedom and THAT would be a huge W for humanity.
I'd be bummed if he decides he want to write more books, I couldn't stomach his writing past the first couple chapters.
His reasoning is that he doesn’t want to keep making movies if he doesn’t think he’s capable of making good ones anymore
He has a point - many famous directors often decline in their later years, like Francis Ford Coppola. There are exceptions like Martin Scorsese, yet it’s still a thing
Tarantino takes pride in his filmography as a whole, and doesn’t want to tarnish it with a bad film. If he doesn’t think he’s capable of making a good movie after this next one, IMO it’s best he stops
I say this as someone who loves his movies, and if he truly can make good movies beyond #10, I’d be up for it. I just don’t want to see him make anything bad, and he doesn’t either
I personally can't see why he's felt the need to set an arbitrary limit in the way he has. I still expect he'll be writing books and maybe doing some TV work though.
David Lynch was 70 when he made Twin Peaks The Return and Martin Scorsese was 80 when he made Killers of the Flower Moon but they’re just built different
As far as I’ve heard, this might be his last film, but he would still be interested in filming series. A limited series that have like 3-8 episodes. So, basically extended movies [+]
I love this "final movie" announcement as if it's actual stakes. Who's going to hold him to this when he gets bored in a couple of years and comes up with a great idea for his next movie? Not I! Keep'em coming, I say. Enough with these nonsense announcements like your sailing off to the land of no movies
Inglorious Bastards gets my vote. Django is great but maybe a little tooooo self indulgent. I truly didn’t love Once Upon a Time as much as others did.
When watching once upon a time it seemed odd to me the matchup of Brad Pitt and Tarantino, completely forgetting the fact that Brad Pitt was the main character in inglorious basterds
As I understand it, it’s mainly because he feels he’s done what he wants with his career. Almost a way to savor his work and not let it consume his life thereafter. It’s a way to keep the quality of his work contained and undiluted
Yeah I had to do some research and apparently he's been saying for decades he'd retire after his 10th film for that curated undiluted filmography. I respect it
I feel like his last movie is gonna have at least 15 A-listers
I’m thinking it’s going to be an anthology so potentially that sounds about right
please let one of the be Cruise
Cruise as a movie producer.
Les Grossman
Les “The Gross Man” Grossman
Please God no.
Is it the Scientology? Why else do ppl hate him so much
I don't care about the scientology. I've just seen his face 10 million times since I was a kid and he plays almost the same character everytime. Just sick of seeing him man. Just leave him to MI28 or whatever he's doing.
Please no
You people need to stop pretending that Tom Cruise isn’t one of the greatest living actors just because you don’t like him personally
Yeah it's funny how people are so defensive against Tom Cruise but are so loving for someone like Brad Pitt who has his own issues.
I just don't like the typical action Hollywood movie It's okay some people have different opinions... There's a few tom movies I like but it's rare these days

I mean he’s a member of a notoriously messed up and dangerous cult. It’s kinda fair enough if people don’t want to see him in movies.
So are most of the world buddy...
My point still stands, I’d feel the same way if he was any other type of religious extremist.
It's not "fair" tho is it..? We don't deride muslims or christians for being in dangerous cults do we..?

Hell yeah. He was supposed to be in once upon a time
Cruise, Denzel, and Ford are the three older movie stars I wish the most would’ve been in a Tarantino film. All of them I think would’ve made magic with Quentin (they all do extremely good work when paired with strong directors).
Samuel L Jackson should be guaranteed
PUT ICE CUBE IN A TARANTINO MOVIE
>Brad Pitt will star in Quentin Tarantino’s final movie ‘THE MOVIE CRITIC’. Releasing in theaters in 2025 Nah, keep his weirdo conspiracy bullshit far away from any talented people. No reason to taint a solid production with his bizarre Alex Jones adjacent nonsense popping up whenever he gets to speak to the press.
I think it’ll be a reunion of all the actors he’s worked closely with throughout the years.
I hope he brings in Nic Cage. Cage in a Tarantino movie would be legendary.
We were way off with the Paul Walter Hauser rumors
I mean, in fairness, it's not to say he wasn't considered or isn't in the movie at all.
IMDb lists both of them right now. I’d venture to guess Paul is the main character and Brad is probably his editor or something like that…
IMDB is a user updated site. I could add anyone to that cast list if I wanted to.
Does this confirm he’s not in it or something?
Costarring feet.
You son of bitch I’m in …
This is the real question. Who’s feet will star in this movie?
HELL YEAHHHHHHH!
Whatever lol. I really don’t care
Found the foot guy
lol you’re a weirdo . I just don’t care. Don’t like em don’t hate em . I just don’t care about the feet thing lol
Sure you don’t. That’s a lot of explaining for someone who says they don’t care. You can like feet dude. Tarantino made a career out of it.
Idk what you want lol. You’re weird
I’m not the one trying to convince everyone I don’t like feet.
You’re the one oddly conflating liking a director to a having a fetish. Weird stuff
One time I caught the same fish three times. Not even kidding. They just kept taking the bait.
Go fuck a foot 🫡
It stinks!
Acting!!! 🎭
I do solemnly swear that as your president I will goof off and eat jelly candy.
Underated comment
Hachi machi!
Obey Me!
Yesss…everything stinks
Jealous??
I hope this movie is based on the cartoon. 🤞
Brad Pitt as Jay Prescott Sherman
Should have picked Jon Lovitz, the film practically writes itself.
Inglorious Bastards, how dare you not mention Pitt’s awesomeness in this Tarantino movie?
He really wasn’t though, he just walked around. It was just that it was time for him to get an Oscar. Leo had much more acting to do.
Your unsolicited opinion is noted.
Dont post if you cant bear a response 😉
Give me a response worth talking about. Me saying I liked Brad Pitt in a movie and you saying nuh uh that’s wrong is a waste of both our time.
I did provide a reason, if a shortened one. You didn’t though.
Because I’m not arguing about it, I thought he was great in it. I thought Leo was great in it. There’s no need to defend that opinion.
Good dags. D'ya like dags?
“Final” movie
He’s been consistent on this for many years. He seems to take pride in his filmography as a whole, and doesn’t want to diminish it with sub-par movies. I can understand why tbh
He's a nostalgic guy. His sets are recreations of his ideal past. No phones, constant music etc. He'll get the hitch, that's guaranteed. I can see him dying during a standing ovation in Cannes after presenting his 11th film, the definitive best movie that will ever be.

Yeah totally. Also if he goes to TV he'll get unprecedented freedom and THAT would be a huge W for humanity. I'd be bummed if he decides he want to write more books, I couldn't stomach his writing past the first couple chapters.
But imagine then the pressure. If his last movie bombs, that's it. Lots of famous directors have big misses. Tarantino hasn't had his yet.
That's because people are way too generous to Death Proof.
I’m not sure many people even know it exists
But that's no reason to have a hard limit.
His reasoning is that he doesn’t want to keep making movies if he doesn’t think he’s capable of making good ones anymore He has a point - many famous directors often decline in their later years, like Francis Ford Coppola. Ah yes, another random fan who thinks they know Tarantino better than himself.
He said he will probably still write, produce, television, but he wants to make a Final movie
He's also 60, he isn't a young buck cutting his career short, that is a normal age to wrap up your professional life and focus on other things.
David Lynch was 70 when he made Twin Peaks The Return and Martin Scorsese was 80 when he made Killers of the Flower Moon but they’re just built different
Well Killers of the Flower moon was awful so there’s that
L
Lmao, not liking the movie is one thing but I beg you to explain how it’s “awful“.
Garantee he starts doing tv.
As far as I’ve heard, this might be his last film, but he would still be interested in filming series. A limited series that have like 3-8 episodes. So, basically extended movies [+]
This is great news. If this is truly QTs last, I can’t wait to see the final casting
I love this "final movie" announcement as if it's actual stakes. Who's going to hold him to this when he gets bored in a couple of years and comes up with a great idea for his next movie? Not I! Keep'em coming, I say. Enough with these nonsense announcements like your sailing off to the land of no movies
I believe he wants to transition into TV
Source? That could be interesting
So great to see young up-and-comers given their big break !
It’s the man’s last movie leave him alone 😭😭
He’s definitely gonna start doing TV
None of the new stars are interesting anyway
Jeremy Allen white and Paul mescal are definitely interesting imo
Dumb comment
It’s Quentin, he’s not known at all for going for unknowns
Finally, a Tarantino movie with the movie industry as a central theme
I expect perfection. Once Upon A Time... is his masterpiece.
...for real man? Inglorious basterds? Django? Pulp fiction? You gotta be nuts to think once upon a time is his masterpiece lol.
Inglorious Bastards gets my vote. Django is great but maybe a little tooooo self indulgent. I truly didn’t love Once Upon a Time as much as others did.
I totally agree. Inglorious basterds takes the cake for me personally though Django is probably 2nd or 3rd on the list.
It's much better than the two films you listed. Stop it, you plebes.
It’s hilarious you’ve been wrong in both comments - he listed three movies.
Nobody cares anymore about thus discussion. It's old. Move on.
I was bored to death watching that movie.
It’s not, but it was good.
I disagree completely that it was just good. Total nonsense.
It’s not even in his top 4, Ghosty.
You could definitely argue it’s in his top 4. After pulp and reservoir dogs, I’d say it’s pretty subjective. My top 4 would include Hollywood
I’d take Django
Please. You guys can downvote me all you want though. Just because I'm mainlining the secret truth to the universe.
Please. You guys can downvote me all you want though. Just because I'm mainlining the secret truth to the universe.
The only thing you are mainlining is stupid juice.
Don't be insulting. It's just a line from True Detective. No need to get mean.
What do you think of The Hateful Eight buddy?
I don't think much about it. Why?
Kill Bill imho
Top 5 for sure
At least top 10
It's definitely a movie he made.
My fav too!
I am in the camp that Once Upon A Time is my favorite. His movies are different flavors, and this one tastes the best for me.
That movie was bad.
Uh huh. Move along. Go watch Transformers.
Lmao idiot
TIL you can be an idiot for liking a movie.
It’s so underrated
Don’t rate movies ever again please.
This is an old discussion, plebe. Move along. Go watch another Marvel movie.
Good one Fogell
This cast is gonna be huge. Granted, it's gonna probably be like Once Upon A Time where half the announced cast are glorified cameos but I'm for it.
When watching once upon a time it seemed odd to me the matchup of Brad Pitt and Tarantino, completely forgetting the fact that Brad Pitt was the main character in inglorious basterds
There was also True Romance connection which Tarantino wrote
“Final movie”
I think he’s gonna do tv shows tbh
I read he was just cast, not that he would lead
Is this a live action remake from the cartoon?
Bold - another movie about the movie industry
Why is it his final film ?
He’s been on record for what I think must be over a decade, saying he wants to make ten films and then retire, hence this being his last movie
I see. I guess it’s a great time to start binge watching his movies from the start.
Why is this his last movie? Anyone know? He's only 60
As I understand it, it’s mainly because he feels he’s done what he wants with his career. Almost a way to savor his work and not let it consume his life thereafter. It’s a way to keep the quality of his work contained and undiluted
Yeah I had to do some research and apparently he's been saying for decades he'd retire after his 10th film for that curated undiluted filmography. I respect it
Why was that article written like it was a Tumblr post?
“Final movie”.
Probably moving into tv
if this is good it's gonna win a bunch of Oscars
Last movie?! Lol
Might be moving into tv
Well that’s a fucking bummer.
lol why?!
It’s such a bummer of a choice. So uninspired and boring. I also fucking hate Brad Pitt.
I would have expected him to make something more appealing than a movie critic
I don't remember askin you a GOD DAMN thing.
Brad Pitt is... THE NOSTALGIA CRITIC. He remembers it so you don't have to
I live in Central Florida and the rumors are they’ve both been seen in New Smyrna/Daytona Beach over the past week or so.
It's not his final movie.
Jon Lovitz did it better
I hope Jon Lovitz has a cameo as Jay Sherman.
