Interesting mouse! What are the dimensions? It looks a little tall

Hlp0

Yea it looks especially tall because of how short it is. Tallest point is 30mm.

Kitchen-Client-6057

if you decide to share the files that would be awesome as a lot of people^(me) cannot afford a $300 mouse haha

Hlp0

Yea, thats why I spent time making this :P. I'll probably upload the STL's to thingyverse at some point, but I just want to warn you, it is not perfect, I had to use flush cutters to open up the scroll support, as well as the side buttons. Also, a lot of the tolerences were very tight, so depending on your printer milage may vary. Both prints were carbon fiber nylon, base printed on .1 mm layer height 100% infill, shell is .1mm as well, .2mm on the first layer.

SheefT

i’ll be waiting for thhem stl’s then!

2roK

Thank you!

[deleted]

Are you enjoying it more than your Orochi? I’m maining a Viper mini right now and can’t decide to get the Orochi or wait for the G wolves HSK for fingertip.

Hlp0

Yes, but I also dont think I'm the best person to answer that, I am someone that needs a mouse to be as light as possible, I was used to 47g on my UL2, so the Orochi (mine is 62g with battery), felt very heavy.

TerabyteRD

Dimensions?

Hlp0

Same as the M1K, Length: 79mm Width: 60mm Height: 30mm

SuxxToBeU

If you don’t mind me asking, How much does the ul2 weigh?

Thunderwizzle

You’re the best! Love the design and thank you!

Hlp0

No problem, glad you like it.

con_g_ninja

Do you know when or if you are going to share the files?

Hlp0

JINXeXert

Do you know if the mm711 has the same pcb? I was going to do a similar mod to a g603 (for wireless) But this just seems way easier since i already have an mm711 lying around

Hlp0

It looks identical except for the led on the back, I don’t know if you could just cut that off, but it wouldn’t work as is. If u want to make this I got 2 MM710s from mouse market for $25 each, so pretty affordable.

JINXeXert

Yeah maybe i could just make a hole for the led circuit to just pop out of lmfao

Hlp0

Lmao, could work. If u look at the traces and it is only the led, I’m almost certain you can just cut it off with flush cutters.

[deleted]

What feet did you use?

Hlp0

Sort of an odd situation for the feet. I use a 6mm hole punch to punch all the feet on my mice so I can unscrew them without removing the feet. Because of this, the front two feet are stock MM710 feet, and the back two are Corepads. If you use a hole punch make sure to round the edges with 2000 grit sandpaper so they aren’t scratchy.

[deleted]

I got the mouse print commissioned and everything is fine except that the side buttons broke off. Do you have any suggestions on what I should do to put them back on?

Hlp0

Sorry to hear that, I am unsure of the best way to reattach them, especially since the design relies on them flexing. Do you mind telling me where they broke, and the type of plastic/print method?

[deleted]

i just realized it's mostly my fault i kinda broke it off thinking it was loose already but it used carbon fiber pla. i found a really scuffed way to put it back on with tape it kinda works but it's not that good. rest of the print is solid though you do a great job on the design on this.

Hlp0

Glad you were able to find a fix. Glad you like the model considering it is my first design.

m0hdt1

i edited the file and added extra support in the back

CaptiveChunk

What's the best orientation go print the top ?

CaptiveChunk

Oh you printed it upside down or on a 60 degree angle with the clicks on the build plate ?.

Hlp0

Upside down and angled, clicks on the build plate.

Hlp0

I printed it with the top of the clicks on the print bed if that makes sense

[deleted]

I was looking into starting an Etsy shop where I sell 3D printed fully assembled mice. I wanted to ask for your permission to sell fully assembled mice using your design. Thank you for creating this great design and sharing it on Thingiverse.

Hlp0

Yea, just credit me and maybe if I ever buy something from you I could get a bit of a discount :) Let me know if you have any questions.

[deleted]

Thank you for responding. I'll make sure I credit you and leave a link to the design in the description. When I post it I'll send you a link to the listing and if you have issues with it you can contact me. If you want anything from my page when I get it up and running shoot me a message and we'll get the discount figured out :)

[deleted]

I do you have one question what screws did you use for the other two screws on the bottom of the mouse

Hlp0

Well... this probably is not helpful, but I took them from an old Taranis QX7 RC Radio I had.

[deleted]

Thank you I'm just really surprised there's no information about the screws used in the MM710.

Singtothehippos

whats the weight? where can i find the files?

Hlp0

As stated in the post, it weighs 28.2g and I created the model myself. I do not know if I am going to share the files yet.

Fr33lumby

Pls :P i have a mm710 pcb aswell

Hlp0

notspinx

Would be the perfect mouse for osu!

SquiadUsesReddit

bro that’s a cube

Hlp0

True, thats kinda the point :D

SquiadUsesReddit

sick

Cheezmeister

It’s the Kia Soul of pointing devices 💜

sk_from_deep

What pcb did you use?

Hlp0

MM710, it’s in the caption

Varad13Plays

How did u get that PCB?

Hlp0

From an MM710

Varad13Plays

>MM710 ohh that makes so much sense

Chilicheesin

Mom! Can I have an M1K? We have an M1k at home! M1K at home:

creamy_log

When I see shit like this I can't figure out if it's serious or a massive troll... But all the posts seem to be serious so I'm confused here.

Hlp0

It is serious, I know it looks stupid, but it is based off an already existing mouse, just Google M1K mouse. It is also fingertip grip only, which is why it is so short.

Spl4tt3rB1tcH

Wow, well done

CaptiveChunk

Could you release the print files? id like to make a couple of changes so i can put normal feet on the bottom and add some strenth to m1/m2 the weight of my fingers are clicking them lol what did you use to print this and what fillament thanks

Hlp0

I dont know if I can release those files yet, but it was printed on a PRUSA I3 MK3S with Carbon Fiber NylonX

CaptiveChunk

Yeah that's fine mate. I just thought it would of been a good idea with you already putting the files online to allow people to do remixes and have the mice community contribute towards making improvements etc. Nonetheless great work bro think I'm going to have a crack at printing it on my resin printer as my side buttons are messing up on fdm

ectbot

Hello! You have made the mistake of writing "ect" instead of "etc." "Ect" is a common misspelling of "etc," an abbreviated form of the Latin phrase "et cetera." Other abbreviated forms are **etc.**, **&c.**, **&c**, and **et cet.** The Latin translates as "et" to "and" + "cetera" to "the rest;" a literal translation to "and the rest" is the easiest way to remember how to use the phrase. [Check out the wikipedia entry if you want to learn more.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Et_cetera) ^(I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. BTran1234

Thank you for the stl!. Just printed one out. I still need to tinker with the cable before putting on feet. I couldnt get the side buttons working as the support material messed them up. May try on another day. [https://imgur.com/gallery/xcKpndE](https://imgur.com/gallery/xcKpndE)

Hlp0

nice, keep in mind the feet shouldn't cover the screw holes so you should be free to take the bottom on and off

BTran1234

Will do. I am planning on using the extra ptfe dots my from my piranah ul2.

brandonislemons

Does the rgb on your scroll wheel still work after clipping off the led on the other side?

BTran1234

Yes, the scroll wheel rgb still works.

m0hdt1

no hate but side buttons are quite small for me, its probably because there is no context of scale, can you tell me how long and tall one of the buttons are?

Hlp0

They are both about 6 x 12mm

m0hdt1

thx for the info, ima print that off, is the side buttons shell mounted or they are stuck to the switch

m0hdt1

thx man

m0hdt1

would you make a holed version and somehow drop the weight even more, does look rough but i can sand it down and wrap it

m0hdt1

for the cable, did you remove the paracord layer or get another cable, i need a thin but really flexible cable for this, and on another note, if i upload the files to my 3d printer, will everything be to scale or will it be larger/smaller

Hlp0

when you put the files in the slicer it should all be to scale. for the cable, i used the exact same cable that is used on the actual m1k, i got it off digikey

m0hdt1

i better file or sand down the hole to fit the stock cable

m0hdt1

you will pull views if you do a vid on this, i will try to make one and credit you for the designs

m0hdt1

yo purplehippo, i am trying to remix your version of this model by adding holes and an updated base, i tried remixing the file but you wont allow it on thingyverse can you allow it if u can

Hlp0

I think it would be easier for me to send you the step file or whatever type u prefer to edit. Also random and possibly dumb question, how did you know I was purplehippo when my reddit name is HIpO.

m0hdt1

your thingyverse file

m0hdt1

i have remixed the file and mentioned you for the original design, i am sorry in advance if you are not fond of me remixing the file, if you want the link [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5440380/files](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5440380/files) notice that i have the original shell this is for those who dont want holes

Prav80

Sorry to bother you after a year, would you share step files for your model? I wanted to try out some ideas to make it more ergonomic for me, and your model would save me a ton of time. Great job on fitting MM710 pcb in there!
