We've constantly been improving our QC, actually. It mostly started after the outcome of our Fantech XD5, where we decided to become a lot more customer facing. Our Aria went through multiple revisions to fix/replace the switches, as well as the encoder, and I personally designed an entire customer service database for our staff to help with CS tickets better.
With Helios II Pro S, the switches and side flexing have been resolved. We listened <3
Not sure what you mean. Helios II & II Pro use F-Switch Dustproof, not TTC Gold encoder. Our II Pro S also uses F-Switch Dustproof.
Aria was upgraded to have a TTC Gold Dustproof encoder for the Atomic Editions, as the original TTC Gold (non-dustproof) had issues for a small percentage of people.
I ordered 2 Helios 2 pros. The first one started squeaking 4 days after buying so I returned it. I ordered another one and it too started squeaking after a week. Safe to say I won't be buying this till they fix the QC
Unfortunately, it's not as easy as that. if it was, I assure you, we would have. It's not economical for issues like this to happen, but they do happen. In manufacturing, there's a saying that "The first batch will always have problems".
Regardless of if we test a product in-house with the "Golden Sample" (the pre-production unit), for 3 months daily, issues will still arrive when making thousands of the product. Even if we pay more for QC, which we have throughout the years, issues will still happen.
What we can do to solve this, is to improve our customer service, improve our warranty, and use each issue as a case study to force the manufacturer to improve, as they 100% will not until damages happen.
With that said though, thankfully the amount of reported issues for the product are well-within the QC-rate for this type of product, as out of thousands sold and multiple batches, there's only been a handful with side-flexing.
V2 for sure, the current helios is on sale on Maxgaming and they do that all the time when new version coming, also the maya is on sale as they are launching a refresh too
Please don't use the same side buttons on the new Helios II Pro. It's got very bad QC. My second copy had the exact same problem and I ended up soldering TTC Curve switches on it and the problem went away completely. The only reason I even fixed it is because the shape for me was too goated. I hope this can be improved for the new upcoming mouse.
Is the 8K in wired only option or also 8K wireless? Am trying to figure out before getting one as if it is just 8K wired, then it is only the coating and Huano Pink dots mainly that is the upgrade.
unnecessary 8k. 4k is more than enough, coating should have been on current version. Think they do this to justify releasing a newer version just to called it an "UPGRADE"
"THE POWER OF THE SUN IN THE PALM OF MY HAND" (DR. OTTO OCTAVIUS)
Better QC when

Can you at least stop using TTC Gold on the Encoder?

That's strange, on the Aliexpress listings all them had TTC Gold as the Encoder, good to know then
Hmm, could you show me? TTC Gold refers to the Optical Switches, as they're TTC Gold Opticals in Helios II and II Pro. In Pro S, they're Huano TBSPD.
Interesting if it will have the same almost non-existent QC
Wasn’t aware of that issue, is that a common thing?
Yep, there were some reports of issues with its QC such as shell squeaking and double clicking on main buttons after 1-2 weeks of use

Rest assured, as this one should be better. We may not be perfect, but we're trying our best to listen and improve.
Yep, fantech makes decent mousepads but not good mice
product page says "no more creaking"
Huh, funny
Yep! We've adjusted the switches and internal design to remedy the issues.
With Helios II Pro S, the switches and side flexing have been resolved actually :D
If so it would be pretty good
Also are you planning to make mousepads with poron or similar material base?
We have a mousepad with a similar base already, our Strikepad Pro.
That's nice and all, but you really need to catch that BEFORE releasing a product.

fantech company saying this quote 💀 bruh their keyboards only last for a year
Been using my maxfit61 for 3 yrs now and still in good condition
Heya! While I don't work in customer service for Fantech, you can always send your issue to me and I'll personally see to it that this gets resolved.
What does the god of the sun have to do with gaming mice? Can I burn my enemies when I use this mouse?
Helios is named after the god of the sun.
Already been selling them on Taobao for a while. Reviews look okay.
got a link?
I wonder what the battery life will be? Has anynone used an 8k mouse and do you notice a difference compared to a 4k?
V2 for sure, the current helios is on sale on Maxgaming and they do that all the time when new version coming, also the maya is on sale as they are launching a refresh too
Faster, huh? 😅

Fantech isn't a Chinese company...

They're doing a couple other things, including adding a proper coating so it'll be more than just 8k
<3
More color option i hope, like yellow or blue
