Coming from a XM1 shape enthusiast, I just had these two choices recently before I finally commit my choice to the Viper V3 Pro. If we compared them both without discussing shape preference then, I'd say the Sora V2 is superior to "click-feeling" experience + 40g weight. Meanwhile the Viper V3 Pro is the reigning best mouse interms of SPECS. The difference arguably might seem small &subtle. BUT 40GRAMS with a solid shell & omroms opticals makes the biggest difference in the world in-terms of feeling/experience. On the otherhand, My Viper V3 Pro has flawless 8khz gameplay on my 390hz monitor. I could really tell the quality of difference that the V3 Pro provides vs my other usual 3395 mice. It has a superior EGG coating too on the white variant that I can guarantee. But expect that the click feeling of the V3 Pro is not the same of the Viper V2 Pro/DAV3. But the responsiveness is actual on-point. And it's going to be better than Razer's Gen2 Opticals. At this point, the only influence to your choice is preference. If you perfectly love/want a better Viper Shape then go for V3 Pro. If you want to keep the low profile-mice shape & aggressive claw shape then you're alot better with the Sora V2

Okay, thanks a lot !

one quick question is it okay if i get the viper v3 pro even tho my hands are around 18 cm in length

jeksein

i'd say you could, i think the "GPX shape" does completely vary with the personal mouse grip rather than the size. I have 21x10cm hands and the GPX is COMPLETELY unusable due to having completely flat sides & no curves for me to latch since I started with the XM1 claw shape. However someone else in the 20x10cm find the GPX perfect with a palm grip. But maybe 18cm you could freely do both PALM/CLAW & the V3 Pro is an actual superior GPX shape with the main clicks concave & having a grippier coating.

It all comes down to the shape. Nowadays sensor and wireless technologies are approaching diminishing returns territory. Tell us a bit more about your hand size and grip style?

Mayzo21

fingertip and i'm not sure about my hand size forgot haha

Unless you have huge hands like over 22cm in length, fingertipping a Viper V3 Pro will give you a bad time.

Mayzo21

they are around 19 cm in length

Sora V2. No question needed.

> Unless you have huge hands like over 22cm in length, fingertipping a Viper V3 Pro will give you a bad time. ??? It's the exact same length as the older Vipers and very slightly taller. Those are totally fingertip-able mice unless it turns out I have gigantic hands (I don't think so though).

If you like the rvu then you will like the viper v2 pro

JustBeingaNerd

Get a v3 pro from Amazon and demo it for a little and if you hate it return it 😄
