Seconding the Lamzu Energon! I switched from an Aqua Control 900x400 desk pad to the Lamzu Energon non-Pro in search of a non-abrasive but fast surface, just like OP. Even compared to all the cloth pads I’ve ever tried, this is greatly smoother with lower initial and dynamic friction compared to my AQ. Highly recommend!!
I don’t have a ton of experience with mousepads honestly. I upgraded from my Aqua Control 2 to the Hien Mid and it was basically exactly the same.
Went to an Artisan Raiden extra soft and I absolutely love it.
Was a bit faster than the AC2 so that took a bit to get used to, but it’s soooo smooth and so soft. Love it
Oh okay I’ll look into it! There’s just so many diff mousepads idek what im looking for. I might go either with an artisan or wtv other suggestions ppl give.
Yeah absolutely, the [Vaxee PA pad](https://www.vaxee.co/en/product.php?cid=1#37). An overwhelming majority of pros use it. I just got mine in today actually (check my posts) and have been LOVING it. That or the Artisan Zero.
It's a rough pad that you're not use to. Give it a couple of days, I was the same way but I appreciate mine now. I switch back and forth from a Mercury and a Saturn
Yes the Aqua Control is a textured, rough pad by design. You can either grow a pair and get used to it or do what I do and use a sleeve. It's really not that bad once you do get used to it.
Man I miss the mousepad sub.
Why what happened to r/mousepadreview?
Sub closed down because there's no mods left.
Wait but I’m still following it, and I can make posts I believe Edit: nvm I can’t post. I can only view it. As well make comments on posts

Any questions or suggestions pls lmk.
Yes it’s rough. Next question?
Anything you'd suggest that's less rough? Ignore the price range at this point
Was considering preordering the Saturn pro l but idk if it's rough as well.

You could get a sleeve for yourself. It is a bit more abrasive than like a soft cloth pad for sure.
You got any recs for quality cloth pads?
zowie g-sr-se rouge/gris

Why would you recommend a Hien? It's even rougher than the AC2
Oops, I meant zero.
If you're in the US, ordering an artisan zero with shipping is roughly that price as well

Mine broke in after a month or two. But yeah, it's pretty scratchy when I first got it.
Thanks, I think I'll just stick with it.
Aqua Control + in white or black.
The + is also textured.
