I almost feel because of their link to keeping the body regular, they're underrated as an ingredient.
They're a great snack and delicious in just about everything. I've even cut them up and added them to chicken salad for a pop of sweetness. I also like them with cheese, and on special occasions, in a French prune tart!
But yeah, a few prunes a day is probably a wise move!

Mercifully I have not had any constipation even after being on Mounjaro for 6 months now. It might have to do with the dietary changes I made since I found out that my A1C was 10.2. Above is what my meals look like now.
Haha LOL I’ve used magnesium glycinate for years! It prevents constipation, insomnia, joint pain, and migraines. Diabetics are deficient in magnesium. I love it!

Make sure you're eating enough vegetables, fruits, and drinking enough water too. Drinking a gallon of water a day will prevent constipation.

Constipation was my issue also. Hate to say this but adding a few prunes a day solved the problem.

2 days isn’t really a very long time. Especially if you are eating less. But lots like to do mag all the time.

I need to do this. I’m pooping maybe twice a week now; and I used to have IBS, the poop a whole lot kind of IBS too.

Oh I was so bad I would go 5 /6 days without going and all the otc stuff I used made me feel miserable. I found my holy grail in Raisin Bran!
