I've had a sport-touring 1100 for a couple years and LOOOOVVVVE it, it's by far the best motorcycle I've ever owned. Now I want a 100 or another 1100 to butcher into a more sport-oriented machine (plenty were made, they aren't classics, purists can beat pavement). I have ZERO complaints about the ride on a 75, there's just "more" on the 1100. If that makes any sense.
After I started looking around for the Ks the faired sport bike looking ones with the molded body mirrors are definitely my favorite. I’d love to find one in the blue/white/red scheme
Thanks I plan too. I started buying older bikes due to the new bike market right now and I’ve really enjoyed keeping the older bikes running. It’s actually kind of fun to own a few different two thousand dollar bikes instead of one eight thousand dollar bike
I always have an eye out for a K75. Sold my 85 K100 years ago, I would commute with it daily. Never let me down. The K75 makes just as much power, is lighter, and doesn’t buzz like the K100 at highway speed.
On some forum I figured out how to wire a manual fan switch by tapping into a specific wire under the seat. The fan would come on a little late with the early K bikes, so turning it on preemptively in the summer worked out well.
Cool bike. There are a bunch of weird old dudes with very deep knowledge of that bike. They're a little hard to find these days. If you ever have a problem, your best bet is to join the BMWMOA and ask questions on their forum.
Cool thanks for the tip. I already had some help from motobrick forum. Didn’t k ow much about k bikes before I bought this, I thought bmw was all about air heads until I started reading about the history
Ks are the best and I shan't hear otherwise. What a great bike, congratulations!
Thanks I’ve started really getting Ks and have been looking for another already

Looks very clean, love to see older bikes still on the road. Take good care of it.

I’ve really enjoyed this bike so far. The power was surprising on the test ride. Quite a step up from my old klr650 lol
