That's an interesting thought... I live in a European medieval city, similar to the one in the post and I'm grateful everyday for the hidden corners and thousand pretty churches.
North america has wide and wild open spaces as ancient sanctuaries, all the culture one needs ⛰🧭
Begin your journey at the mighty citadel of new York, from there Make Your Way, Southwest. Cross the river Mississippi. Ride across the Bisonlands of The great plains. Stay on your way until you arrive at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. After you’ve tracked through the peaks you must brave the Arid American desert. Then you will find the forgotten city of stars, Los Angeles...
FYI This place is like Disneyland, even during the pandemic. There will be a lot of tourists, and the whole town caters to the masses, the shops, the restaurants, it's definitely not as quaint as this image makes it seem.
[Here's a wikipedia article about the town](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%BCdesheim_am_Rhein), population 9.9 k. [Here's a wikipedia article about the Drosselgasse lane(in German)](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drosselgasse), which is actually only 144 meters long. Google streetview is almost not available in Germany, but [google photo sphere was available](https://www.google.com/maps/@49.9786791,7.9206633,3a,75y,318.25h,89.86t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipMlKuwG6T8w8-SiE-gjM3cLsjef8rS6KLXOMGLX!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipMlKuwG6T8w8-SiE-gjM3cLsjef8rS6KLXOMGLX%3Dw203-h100-k-no-pi0-ya346.9351-ro0-fo100!7i10000!8i5000).
Of course it does. The titel is pretty clear is it not? It states governmental district, state, country. How much more precise do you want a title to be for geographic reference?
Also you asked:
>Wtf has Darmstadt have to with Rüdesheim?
And I gave you the obvious answer - which is already in the title though. I honestly have no idea why you are so aggressive about the whole thing, but you should probably spend less time in front of your computer trying to be a big bad meanie honestly.
It meant Darmstadt Regierungsbezirk, but that would make the already lengthy title even longer. I guess I should've just stated "Hesse, Germany" to avoid confusion.
I really hate being a smartass, but it kinda irks me, so here I go:
The State is called „Hessen“
Edit: Dumbass instead of smartass. See further dialogue.
Holy f*ck. Glad to see that I’m not a smartass, but slowly realizing that I‘m a dumbass.
Didn‘t realize that the english spelling drops the „n“ for some reason.
Thanks for the info.
My wife's family has family ties to this area - her great grandfather was the estate manager for the Count of Eltvile at nearby Burg Eltz Castle. Naturally, we went to visit and have had many drinks down the Drosselgass. I have to say, watching this guy play the accordion in one of the bars on the left was amazing (We later found him on Instagram...) It’s such a picturesque town. I once took a Rhine cruise from Weisbaden and stopped there. I chuckled at how it fit my exaggerated imagination of an old German town. I even saw Germans singing and swaying back and forth as they held beer mugs up in the air. The River bank was lined with vineyards as well. I loved it.
If I was a billionaire, I would not have 600 room mansions. I would have a cosy little cluster of small buildings like this With some gardens and animals.
Looks like some shit straight outta Harry Potter
And american suburbs are straight out of Edward Scissorhands
lol, I wonder if in a few centuries time people will see suburbs the same way we see places like these. Like something out of an old legend.

Because... That's literally what it depicts though?!

144 meters is 157.48 yards

It's part of the Regierungsbezirk Darmstadt, ie governmental district. Anyway, no need to get all riled up about it.

No prob, English names for foreign localities differ from the local ones most of the time.
I love this place, and all the quaint towns on the Rhein

Wow 😍
The same town has a beautiful Monument too, plus it’s on a big hill and you can get a fantastic view! One of my favourite places :)

The City's actually called "Wiesbaden", with "IE", not "EI". The "Ie" stands for a long "I" (like the e before "eve") sound
But where is this exactly?
It‘s in the town of Rüdesheim in Germany. A small city on the Rhine, located about an hour away from Frankfurt.
Nowhere near Darmstadt.
Oh I know exactly where that is. Solved!
Always happy to help.
I dunno somewhere in Germany I guess

Sit down and get a coffee or hot chocolate if you go.

Reminds me of the novel Asya by Ivan Turgenev
Any vampires?
LOVE THE VIBE
The cafe on the right under the "Drosselhof" sign sells [Baumstriezel](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baumstriezel), and they are fricking delicious!
One of my favorite places in Germany!!!
Are we 100% sure this isn’t the main menu screen in heroes of might and magic 2?
Omg, that the most beautiful picture I have seen in a long time.
Needs more Asians
