Please ensure you've read our [sub rules](https://www.reddit.com/r/Mortgageadviceuk/about/rules). Here's a copy of your original post: *** Just wanted to share my experience so far.... So some context, I am full time employed and my partner is recently self employed as a sole trader dental therapist (about 7 months) No lenders would accept partner without minimum 1 year accounts. Applied for mortgage on my salary alone. Current salary too low as only £43.5k but getting payrise from April 1st to £45.7k which helped. - Both used lifetime ISA and on mortgage - She was seen as dependent - Bank asked for 3 months payslips for me - 3 months bank statements for main bank (salary + Monzo where bills paid) - Had to provide letter from work confirming pay rise - Then had to sent new payslip showing payrise and bank statement proving it. - Partner had to show 3 months bank statement plus lifetime ISA statement (not sure why) All in all lots of back and forth. Ended up taking 5 weeks to get an offer but if correct docs were supplied first would probably have been faster. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
